International diva Priyanka Chopra grabbed many
eyeballs during her stint at Met Gala's red carpet. She became the muse to ace
designer Ralph Lauren and wore the custom made trench coat touted as the
lengthiest in the world. Her fierce look made the whole world talking and she
was also seen bonding with major Hollywood superstars present at the gala.
Now, the busy actor is headed to South Africa to attend a
UNICEF's gala fundraising event. She sahred a series of pictures on her
Instagram story, where she was seen on the flight leaving for South Africa.
The global icon will attend the event which highlights the
challenges faced by children who are affected by violence. Priyanka has been a
UNICEF national Ambassador in India for nearly ten years. She was recently
appointed as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
A statement from UNICEF specified, "The visit of
UNICEF's Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra to South Africa will highlight the
challenges faced by children affected by violence. Her visit is providing
UNICEF with a unique opportunity to profile our mandate and values that guide
our daily work for every child in South Africa."
The event will also have a fashion show by an Indian-origin
designer named Gavin Rajah.
