Thugs of Hindostan's casting
has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. While admirers were in
for a treat last year when it was pronounced that Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir
Khan were collaborating for the first time in TOH, the
hunt for the famous lady was still on. Finally, it was disclosed that Fatima
Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif will be a part
of the film.
About the characters they will be essaying in Thugs, a
source disclosed to a famous tabloid, "The script of TOH required
two actresses — a raw, rough-and-tough Indian girl who is part of Aamir’s gang
of thugs and in love with his character and a beautiful British lady with whom
Aamir’s character falls in love with. While the Indian girl will be played by
Fatima, Katrina Kaif plays the British girl."
Looks like a love triangle between
Aamir, Katrina and Fatima will be at the forefront of the plot.
About Fatima, the source further added, "Fatima will
learn how to be a skilful sword-fighter in the film as her role is
action-oriented."
Previously director Vijay Krishna had told about Fatima,
"The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to
find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action
workshops, we found in Fatima, a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer
of the action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our
film."
Thugs of Hindostan is scheduled
for a Diwali 2018 release.
