First-rate filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is basking
the glory of a National Award for his last epic Bajirao Mastani, has expressed
interest in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Manam.
Apparently, the Telugu film's director, Vikram Kumar, and
Bhansali met to discuss the remake of the movie in Hindi. Vikram told that
though nothing has been finalized yet, Bhansali expressed his interest to
remake the movie in his production.
The Telugu movie starred the late legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara
Rao, his son Nagarjuna and grandsons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil in a family drama
revolving around six-year-old Bittu, who loses his parents in a car accident.
Thirty years later, Bittu comes across two collegians who are the reincarnation
of his late parents.
Previously, there were rumors that SLB was keen on the Hindi
remake of S S Rajamouli's Magadheera, but the director later slammed the rumors.
