Karan Johar's Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer Humpty Sharma
Ki Dulhania was his homage to Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and
post the success of the film, Karan Johar has decided to turn it into a
franchise.
The sequel to the movie titled Badrinath Ki Dulhania will
also star Alia and Varun and it goes on floors today in Mumbai. Like the
original, this movie too will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan.
Sources reveal that it's a fresh story set against the
backdrop rural North India. Apparently, Alia and Varun will be seen in totally
new avatars in the film. Insiders have disclosed that Shashank had locked the
script last year and had been conducting reading workshops with the lead pair
since past one month.
