As per reports, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi will be joining
the league of Rohit Shetty’s cop film series. The brilliant director had once
in a media chat specified that he wants to create a universe of cop movies just
like Avengers as for him a Police Officer is no less than a superhero. Keeping
this in mind, Rohit directed movies like Simmba, Singham, Singham returns and
is all set to make another super cop, Sooryavanshi in the coming year.
At a latest event, Rohit also specified that soon after
Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi releases, he will make a female-led cop movie which
will be part of the Singham series. Yes, Rohit specified this and revealed,
“Soon we will be making it. We have a story in mind. We will do it definitely.
We will take a year or so but we plan to do that to complete the universe.”
During the event, Rohit opened up about he got inspired from the Avengers
universe and planned the cop series in India.
But, he also stated that in Bollywood, the budget
constraints make it difficult to replicate the success of Avengers and thus, he
is trying to create an alternate super cop series. He even mentioned that when
he combined Singham with Simmba in his latest film, he was scared of how the
audiences will react to it. To his surprise, the audiences loved it. Thus, he
plans on creating the cop films and just like Avengers, his cops will also
appear in each other’s films. Also, like the latest addition to Avengers is
Captain Marvel, a female-led cop film will be an addition to the cop films by
Rohit Shetty.
