'Airlift' is not a commercial film: Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, who will be next seen playing an Indian businessman from Kuwait in forthcoming movie Airlift, lately opened up about the movie and confirmed that the film is not in the commercial space at all.

Explaining on the same, Akshay told that the movie is quite realistic and that the characters are not gimmicky or colourful. The Khiladi further added that the movie has actually tried to portray the sequence of events as they happened at the time. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, Airlift revolves around an operation by the Indian government to evacuate thousands of Indians from war-torn Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion.

Airlift is slated to release on January 22.
