Having made his debut with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000, Hrithik Roshan has over 25 years of experience in the industry. After garnering admirers with a variety of parts throughout the course of a long-acting career, he will direct his first film with Krrish 4. In his most recent remarks, the actor talked about his aspirations for the next 25 years in the industry as he explores "unchartered territories."

Hrithik Roshan recently met and greeted his fans in Chicago. A number of the videos from the event have gone viral online. In one of the tapes, he is heard talking about his career aspirations for the upcoming years and expressing his excitement about them.

Considering his future professional goals, he said, "I don’t want my next 25 years to be a series of trophies and accolades, I want my next 25 years to be a journey of becoming. I want to learn, I want to fail, I want to rise again, I want to evolve."

The Krrish 4 actor claimed that over the past 25 years, he has come to the conclusion that the hardest path teaches the most. "So that’s the path I am turning on unchartered territories, I’m going to be directing my next film so yeah I need your blessings," he further revealed.

Earlier this year, Hrithik's father and seasoned director Rakesh Roshan posted a picture of themselves together to officially promote Krrish 4.

 "Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4," he wrote in the post's accompanying caption.

Krrish 4: Flying High Again, with Hrithik Roshan at the Helm!

Hrithik Roshan will direct Krrish 4, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to India's most famous superhero franchise. The film will be co-produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF)'s Aditya Chopra and acclaimed director Rakesh Roshan, which heightens the anticipation and marks a historic collaboration between two of Bollywood's most important production giants. This dramatic shift promises to elevate Krrish 4 to unprecedented heights by combining Hrithik's creative vision with his star power.

The most awaited superhero franchise in Indian film, Krrish, is making a comeback. Krrish 4, which is anticipated to start production in early 2026, is reportedly being produced by Aditya Chopra and Rakesh Roshan, according to sources close to the project. That's not all, though. One of India's biggest and most well-known stars, Hrithik Roshan, will be directing the film for the first time. “Hrithik will don the role of actor and director for Krrish 4 - The biggest superhero franchise of Indian Cinema, that kicked off with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, followed by Krrish and Krrish 3. The script is locked, and pre-production work is going on in full swing as the aim is to take the film on floors in early 2026,” revealed a media source.

Rakesh Roshan states in a media chat that I am passing the baton of the director of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its inception with me. Rakesh Roshan is delighted that Aditya Chopra would be producing Krrish 4. “It brings me so much joy to see someone like Adi as the producer of Krrish 4. It was he who convinced Hrithik to sit in the director’s chair. Adi and Yash Raj Films have the knowledge, understanding and technological might to produce this film and add great value to this project.”

He further discloses, “Hrithik and Adi coming together as a producer-director pair with me behind them is a rare and deliciously creative combination. I am sure they will turn Krrish 4 into a theatrical experience that has never been made in India. The dream is to make India proud globally with a larger-than-life experience like Krrish 4.”

Hrithik Roshan, who has captivated audiences as the masked superhero Krrish since 2006, will take on the roles of both director and title character in Krrish 4. Beginning with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, the Krrish franchise—a pioneer in Indian cinema—grew into a superhero story with Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). With Hrithik at the forefront, Krrish 4 is poised to transform the genre by combining the avant-garde graphics and poignant storytelling that are hallmarks of the Roshan family's filmmaking legacy.

After a lengthy pre-production phase that has already started and lasted more than a year, Krrish 4 will go into production in early 2026.

Krrish 4: Rakesh Roshan Drops HUGE Hint!

Those who are fans of the Krrish franchise have been eagerly awaiting the next installment, Krrish 4. They seem to be nearing the conclusion of their wait. The official release date of the superhero movie starring Hrithik Roshan has been alluded to by Rakesh Roshan. This will surely increase your enthusiasm.

During a recent media chat, Rakesh Roshan was asked if a new Krrish movie was in the works. He replied that a formal announcement should be coming shortly. The director states, “Yes, it’s almost ready now. I’ll be announcing very soon.”

Rakesh Roshan has earlier announced that he was leaving his role as director. This suggests that after directing Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3, he will not be directing the follow-up. In a media chat, he openly expressed his opinions about the movie being directed by someone else.

Roshan disclosed, “The day has to come when I have to pass on the baton.” He believed that it was better to do it while he was in his senses so that he could oversee everything and ensure it’s being made correctly. “Also, there’s no guarantee that if Rakesh Roshan directs Krrish 4, it’ll be a blockbuster,” he further revealed.

In the past, Rakesh Roshan has declared that he would not develop Krrish 4 until he was satisfied with it internally. He disclosed, “We have the script ready, but we keep on improvising. I still feel there is some scope for improvement. We can’t make films on budgets as high as Hollywood, and hence, our content has to be strong and new in this world of superheroes.”

He described the script as "magical," and he expressed confidence that it would capture the audience's interest within the first fifteen minutes.

Rakesh Roshan’s Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 4 will be start in June!

As per the recent media updates, Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan will soon start work on the film Krrish 4. A close media source disclosed, “The preparation on Krrish 4, including casting of the film, will begin in June this year.” The leading lady for the movie is yet to be decided.

In a media chat, Rakesh Roshan disclosed that Hrithik doesn’t do many films in a year. He revealed that the Super 30 actor likes challenges and the opportunity to play inspiring characters, hence he does not do many movies. The filmmaker further revealed that Hrithik works in movies where he wants to justify the character and to get that kind of character and subject is not frequent.

 

 

 

 

 

Rakesh Roshan talks about Sussanne moving in with Hrithik during the lockdown!

Earlier, Hrithik Roshan divulged that his ex-wife Sussanne Khan has moved in at his Juhu residence in Mumbai to co-parent their sons Hrehaan and Hridaan during the lockdown. Both got divorced in 2014 but keep friendly relations. Sussanne has guardianship of their two kids but the boys also spend quite a lot of time with their father, Hrithik.

Responding to former daughter in law's decision of moving back together with Hrithik during the lockdown, Rakesh Roshan reveals "The world has to be together and supportive in difficult times."

Earlier, Hrithik had posted a photo of ex-wife Sussanne on his Instagram handle and wrote, "It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns."

Hrithik opens up about his daddy Rakesh Roshan's fight with cancer!

Hrithik Roshan is currently gearing up for his next film Super 30, a biographical drama based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational programme.

In a latest chat, Hrithik opened up about his father Rakesh Roshan, who was diagnosed with cancer in January. He revealed, “In my father’s generation, a man was taught that masculinity meant being a rock. That a father is someone who is very strong and never expresses his vulnerability. Tears, we were taught, are feminine. But being a student of life, I have learned that strength does not mean the absence of tears. I realised that my dad had held way too much inside of him and I felt it was unhealthy.”

He continued to speak about his father’s fight with the disease and revealed, “Having been through all that he has, one day I pushed him to express what he has been feeling. And I could see how impossible it was for him to let go of that strength. But eventually one day, he broke down completely. I hugged him and we both let the tears flow. Ironically, even at that time he was switching between breaking down on my shoulder and consoling me as a strong father. We all felt so much stronger after that release. We must learn to express ourselves as human beings openly. Not just the popular emotions, but all emotions.”

Recently, Hrithik Roshan took to social media to pen a heartwarming note for father Rakesh Roshan and along with a photo of the two, Hrithik disclosed that his father has been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. But what is commendable is that as Hrithik’s father goes for his surgery today, Rakesh Roshan made sure he worked out right before his surgery and in the photograph, we see Rakesh Roshan posing with his son.

Hrithik posted, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him.”

On the film front, Rakesh Roshan was all set to direct the fourth installment of the Krrish franchise, which would see Hrithik in the lead role and Krrish 4 is slated to hit the theatres on Christmas 2020.

Speaking about casting Priyanka in the movie, filmmaker and actor Rakesh Roshan specified that When he was making 'Krrish', he wanted to take an upcoming girl because he wasn't sure about the time frame for the shoot of the film. Rakesh disclosed that he had met Priyanka a long time back when she was staying at the Holiday Inn and had won the Miss World title. He had interacted with her and seen potential in her.

He further told that he thought she was the right girl to cast in 'Krrish'. He narrated the whole script to her and told her that he is taking her in his film because one, she is a good actress and two, he wanted all dates from her as per his suitability.

Roshan Senior further added that he really enjoyed working with her and he is sure that she will be in 'Krrish 4' but is not sure about the length of her role in the third instalment.

After Kangana appeared on Karan’s talk show, Koffee with Karan and called him the ‘flag bearer of nepotism’, Karan has hit back at her multiple times. Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan should apologise to me publicly, tells Kangana Ranaut!

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who got involved in a legitimate battle with Hrithik Roshan last year, tells their fight is still not over as she deserves an apology from the actor and his father Rakesh Roshan.

Kangana opened up on the controversy once again on a TV show "Now Showing", read a statement by the channel.

The actress tells the senior Roshan had tried to fix a meeting between her and Hrithik, but that is yet to happen.

"I'm still waiting to meet him face-to-face and exchange two words on this and sort this out, but he's been running and hiding from me," Kangana told.

"He (Hrithik) and his father have made fools of themselves, they should apologise to me in public. Even if they don't, I will clarify to the world what happened to the case. The case has not died down. They couldn't prove anything," she further added.

Issues between the two began when Kangana hinted at Hrithik being her "ex-boyfriend" when she told in an interview that she fails to understand "why exes do silly things to get your attention". The actress lodged a legal complaint against Hrithik for "misusing" the confidential emails and photographs of the time when they were together.

Hrithik later filed a complaint with the cybercrime cell, claiming an imposter had been emailing Kangana from a bogus email ID, pretending to be him.

"For me it's important that he (Hrithik) claimed many things, but couldn't prove anything. You can't go about slapping notices on people. He had been preparing all this for two years. He used to send himself emails from my account because he had my password," Kangana told.

"I stayed quiet till now because I needed time to understand what all they (Roshan family) were doing... Of course it was all lies, but I didn't know what they would do next. I was scared. Look at what happened to the Malayalam actress because she went and complained to the actor's wife. They got her raped... Of course that was much after my case, but I was scared. So many things happen to women. The media would call me, or my sister and say, 'You are not safe... You guys should move to a safe place or go in hiding'.", said Kangana.

Without naming anybody, Kangana said she used to get calls from people from the industry who told her, "You should apologise, they are powerful people."

"He (Hrithik) and his father claimed they would expose me and shock the world, but they couldn't prove anything. He (Hrithik) slapped a notice saying she caused great harm to my reputation because she called me a 'silly ex'... I am the silly ex. But, he couldn't prove it. So, he changed his stance and said... She's right, she had an affair, but that wasn't me, it was an imposter. But, he couldn't prove that also," Kangana told.

Rakesh Roshan opens up about Hrithik-Sussanne’s breakup!

Whereas Hrithik Roshan and ex-wife Sussanne Khan called it quits a few years ago, the ex-married duo is still very much a part of each other's lives. From vacation trips abroad with their sons - Hridhaan and Hrehaan to dinner dates, their camaraderie has got tongues wagging.

When Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan was questioned about Hrithik and Sussanne, he told to a famous tabloid, "Sussanne is a really nice girl and I have nothing against her. Whatever happened between Hrithik and her is their kismat. You can't change destiny. I must say that they are shouldering their parenting responsibilities well. Hrehaan and Hridhaan have lunch with the entire family almost every Sunday. It's a family ritual. Sanskaar maa baap se aate hain."

He further added, "Children observe everything - how their parents are with each other, do they respect each other, are they warm towards elders in the family and so on. Hrithik and Sussanne are respectful of each other and their families, which their children have also imbibed. For instance, touching an elder's feet is something they have learnt from Hrithik and Sussanne appreciates that, too. Also, Hrithik is a guy who doesn't hurt anyone and that's why everything around him is so positive."

In the meantime, Rakesh Roshan got candid about the sacrifices he had to make. He told, "Whatever time I got, I spent it with my family. But yes, when I was an actor, I didn't have so much time. Even I was growing at that time. I was 22 when my daughter was born and at 24, I was blessed with a son. I was also making my career. I gave the time that I got. But of course, I wasn't with them so much the way Hrithik is with his kids. I like spending time with my family and friends. From the industry, I just have two friends - Jeetendra and Rishi Kapoor. The other friends are not from the industry. So when we meet, we talk more about other things and less about films. That is the way to get away from work."

Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has clocked 50 years in the industry recently and he is a happy man. From fruitfully beginning as an assistant director to then taking up acting and effortlessly slipping into the director and producer's hat, Roshan senior has done it all. "I started my career as an AD in 1968. I worked for 3-4 years and then debuted as an actor. It has been a great learning experience. I have always kept myself going by learning things. I learn from all my assistants, technicians, other films, actors and everyone," Rakesh Roshan reveals.

It has been five decades since the actor-turned-filmmaker has been a part of the industry. Quiz him what kind of a change has he witnessed and Rakesh Roshan confesses, "Every film which has got an emotional base has done well. There is nothing called an old film or a new film. Dangal isn't a new film. It is a film. Whichever film moves you emotionally, is a good film. When you go to see a film, you don't see the actor. But you see the director. You take Bahubali, you can see the director and his passion. It is his vision. See Lagaan, Dangal, Jodha Akbar, Avatar etc. It is the director behind it."

Ask him what did he enjoy the most - being an actor, producer or a director and Roshan describes, "I have enjoyed all the roles. Every role has got different qualities. In front of the camera, one may feel it is easy, but it is not. As a director, you have to be behind the camera. You have to think with the actor's point of view. It is a very interesting job. Then there is a producer's job. You have to make a budget and make sure the film is made in that budget. Luckily, I am a director-producer myself, so I know the budgeting of the film. As a director, I know the vision so I can accordingly shoot. If there is a sequence in Krrish that I feel will go out of budget, then I will cancel it and then shoot it in a way so that it is more affordable."

But while building his illustrious career, Rakesh Roshan assuredly made lot of sacrifices. Probe him on it and he agrees and further reveals, "Whatever time I got, I spent it with my family. But yes, when I was an actor, I didn't have so much time. Even I was growing at that time. I was 22 when my daughter was born and at 24, I was blessed with a son. I was also making my career. I gave the time that I got. But of course I wasn't with them so much the way Hrithik is with his kids. I like spending time with my family and friends. That is the way to get away from work."

Through the course of his journey, is there anything that the veteran filmmaker learnt and pat comes the answer, "One thing that I learnt is that a director makes the movie. And even if the actor is amazing, he cannot rise above the director. It is not an easy job. It is not like making a cup of tea. You have to be responsible and honest. You have to do a good job. When I shoot something, I go home and think about it. If I am not satisfied, I will reshoot that particular scene. But not for petty changes. Shortcomings are there in everything. Only if it is a major thing, I reshoot it."

Given that Roshan Senior has made some of the most loved movies of Bollywood like - Karan Arjun, Koyla, King Uncle, Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang amongst many others, one wonders if he would ever want to remake his films. Shoot this question to him and he tells, "Many people tell me to remake my own films. But I say I cannot do it. Because once the thing has come out from your heart, you cannot artificially make it again. I have chosen to do a film on a particular subject because it gave me sleepless nights. Most of my films have hit the bulls eye and I have been fortunate. People asked me to remake Karan Arjun. But I cannot make it. Those heartfelt scenes won't come out now. It would be like copying. I can't make it. If somebody else comes with a good script then it is fine. I am willing for that."

Next up his sleeve is Krrish 4. Ask him about it and Rakesh Roshan tells, "Krrish 4, I am scripting it. I am stuck on something and once it gets solved, the news will come."

"Hrithik as Krrish will be there and his family will carry on. I am the only producer-director who has got one story being continued in the films. It is difficult. New characters will come in but the story will be linked," he ended conversation.

I feel especially happy for my father as a successful non-corporatised producer, says Hrithik Roshan!

Actor Hrithik Roshan tells the success of "Kaabil" has made him especially happy for his father Rakesh Roshan.

"'Kaabil' getting 200 more screens in the second week is a sign from the universe that one must just focus on good work and leave the rest to God. This is a huge victory. I want to thank all the 'Kaabil' fans for making this happen. It is unprecedented and I feel especially happy for my father who remains one of the few active and successful non-corporatised producers in our film industry. My gratitude to all the forces who made this happen," Hrithik told.

The movie about a blind man's vendetta after his wife's rape and suicide has also been released in Pakistan.

"I am delighted that our neighbors will get to see 'Kaabil' in cinemas all across. 'Kaabil' has received an overwhelming response from India and I hope for the same love from the audience there," he further added.

The movie has grown at the box office since its release in spite of formidable competition from the Shah RukhKhan starrer "Raees", which released on the same day.

SRK’s emotional reply on mending fences with Rakesh Roshan!

Raees and Kaabil's clash has become one of the foremost headlines in almost every news column. Just a day before yesterday, on the release of both the movies, news came that Raees has got more screens than Kaabil. After seeing the ratio of 60-40, Rakesh Roshan got disappointed with the unfair treatment and in an interview with us, told that he'll quit the industry if the exhibitors succumb to the pressure. 

Today, Shah Rukh Khan was asked by an entertainment channel on how he will mend his differences with Rakesh Roshan. To this, Khan gave an emotional answer and told, "Mere Papa hote toh main unse baat karwa deta. Lekin mere Papa toh hai nahi!"

But, Rakesh's son Hrithik believes that this box office clash shouldn't be coming in the way of their relationship.

My father has an undying spirit; doesn't need anyone to take his legacy forward, says Hrithik Roshan!

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is proud that his father Rakesh Roshan has achieved everything in his life with hard work and his own will. The actor tells his dad doesn't need anyone's support to take his legacy forward.

Hrithik, who made his acting debut as a leading hero with his father's 2000 directorial "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai", also told he is happy to work with him as a team member, and doesn't think of it as a legacy. 

"My father has a spirit (that) is undying. He doesn't need anyone to take his legacy forward... He will live for forever and he is going to be working forever. He is somebody who has built everything on his own, and he will continue doing that," Hrithik told here.

The actor further added: "I am always here working (with him) as a team. I am sure that he is going to go on for the next 20-30 years. He will continue making movies. That question (of carrying forward his legacy) is premature." 

The 43-year-old actor emphasized that it will be better to ask him about his father's legacy "when I am at my 80 because he will still be making films". 

On the film front, the actor is seen with Yami Gautam in "Kaabil", backed by his father's banner FilmKraft Productions.

When the promo of Kaabil was released, it generated a lot of enthusiasm for Hrithik Roshan admirers. Presently, the father-son duo Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik are gearing up for the release of the movie & have chalked out their promotion tactics which will be beginning soon.

Additionally, 2017 is going to start with a big fight between Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. Rakesh indicated that he is not affected by SRK's marketing skills, which is hyped to be one of the best in the industry. He told to a famous tabloid, "Earlier too there would be multiple releases. During our days, if one film was houseful, the crowd would rush to another theatre, where tickets were available."

Speaking about their publicity strategies for Kaabil, Roshan Sr specified, "We will continue with whatever we have been doing earlier. Hum na zyada promotions karne waale hain, na kam (We won’t promote too much or too little). Promotional activities alone don’t make much of a difference. We had already decided and arranged everything in accordance with our release. We have enough theatres to exhibit our movie. We only need to work honestly and in a justified manner."

He gave the example of Aamir Khan's forthcoming movie, Dangal, he told, "After watching the trailer, the storyline needs to unfold, so that audiences come in with their minds prepared. Look at Dangal’s trailer, it clearly states what the content is and what the storyline wants to reveal. Viewers should know everything from the trailer itself."

An interesting fact behind Rakesh Roshan’s love for ‘K’ initial for all his films!

Actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has amused the viewers with superhit movies like Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Krrish series and much more. The fascinating fact is that all these movies start with the alphabet 'K'. It's been 30 years since Rakesh started this trend.

As per a close source, there's a very fascinating story behind it. Father Roshan started producing movies in Bollywood with movies like Aap Ke Deewane and Kaamchor. When the filmmaker was making the movie Jaag Utha Insan, a admirer wrote to him and recommended that he should name his movies starting with the letter K. But, the Koyla director didn't pay attention to it, which led to the duds of movies like Jaag Utha Insan and Bhagwan Dada.

Then, he realized and read out the admirer letter where it was written, Senior Roshan's biggest hits were Khoobsurat, Khatta Meetha, Kaamchor and Khandaan which started with the letter K. After that, there was no turning back and till Krrish 3, all his movies start with the letter K. Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil directed by Sanjay Gupta is produced by Rakesh.

The gifted filmmaker has about 50 titles registered starting with K. Talking about it, he specified, "As most of these films worked, I thought, why not stick to this alphabet. I won't make all the 50 films. It's for Hrithik to decide."

Before Karan Arjun, the film was titled Kainaat, and he has retained it for his some other projects. Only once Rakesh has given off one title and it was Kal Kissne Dekha which marked the Bollywood debut of Vashu Bhagnani's son Jackky.

Rakesh Roshan reacts over Kangana Ranaut's comment about 'daddies saving their sons'!

Earlier, when filmmaker Rakesh Roshan was questioned about the Hrithik Roshan-Kangana Ranaut hullabaloo, Roshan Sr told that when the truth will come out, it will shock everyone.

In response to this, Kangana had said earlier, ''I want to know why Indian men can't stand up for themselves. He (Hrithik) is 43 years old. Why does his father always have to come to his rescue? For how long will he keep hiding behind his big influential father's name? He (Hrithik) is an adult and pretty much can handle his own controversies in show business. It is just a simple controversy. Why do daddies have to save their sons? I don't understand this."

When Rakesh was asked to comment on Kangana's comment, he tactfully told, ''Whatever I wanted to say I said it. Now I will speak when I feel there is a right time to talk about this.''

Hrithik Roshan uses god Ganpati to pronounce Krrish 4!

Hrithik Roshan, who had essayed a superhero in Krrish and Krrish 3, will wear a mask and fight baddies once again in Krrish 4, confirmed filmmaker Rakesh Roshan.

Speaking on the same, Rakesh Roshan told, ''When my wife showed me a tweet with Bappa's picture as Krrish, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth installment..''

Roshan Senior further added, ''Ganesha is also called the God of Auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4.''

Rakesh Roshan already has an idea for the movie, which he will be working on. The movie is slated to go on floors next year and will be released during Christmas 2018.

A couple of days back, Hrithik too had posted, “Ganpati blessings for KRRISH4 :)) hope everyone is enjoying the festivities. Love to all.”

Will SRK and Rakesh Roshan’s meeting prevent a Box Office clash?

We had informed that Shah Rukh Khan and producer Ritesh Sidhwani paid a late night visit to filmmaker Rakesh Roshan to discuss the clash between Raees and Kaabil, but Roshan Sr. has dismissed the rumors and told that the clash is still on.

Roshan told that the meeting was a casual one and they did not discuss the shifting of the release date. The actor-turned-filmmaker added that SRK called him and met him for old times' sake. SRK's Raees was previously slated to release along with Salman Khan's Sultan, but the makers later pushed the release of the movie to January 26, 2017. Roshan's Kaabil, which stars Hrithik Roshan, is also scheduled to release on Republic Day.

Seemingly, Roshan told that they announced the release date of their movie much in advance and there are not willing to shift it. Kaabil is a vengeance drama directed by Sanjay Gupta, which also stars Yami Gautam and Ronit Roy.
