Sunny Deol’s desire to cast Sara opposite Karan Deol in his debut film?

Actor Sunny Deol has donned the director's hat again and will be launching his son Karan Deol with the movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The veteran actor had made his Bollywood debut in Betaab opposite Amrita Singh and has good relations with her. Furthermore, he desired to pair Amrita's daughter Sara Ali Khan opposite Karan in his debut movie. But, seemingly, Amrita was not keen to do so.

Speaking about it, a source said to a famous tabloid, "Though Amrita denied that Sunny approached her, the fact is Sunny was keen to launch Amrita’s daughter with his son. Amrita and Sunny share a strong bond ever since their first film Betaab. He never expected that she would be reluctant to launch Sara with Karan."

The source further added, "When the extremely sensitive Sunny sensed her lack of excitement about the idea, he withdrew the offer. He didn’t give her a chance to refuse.”

Well, that did not get to see the broad daylight.

I am definitely not dating Hardik Pandya, reveals Parineeti Chopra!

Celebs Parineeti Chopra and cricketer Hardik Pandya's hottest Twitter talk caught the attention of numerous. It all happened when Parineeti tweeted a photo telling, "The perfect trip with the most amazing partner Love is in the air!!!"

Hardik responded to it by tweeting, "The perfect trip with the most amazing partner Love is in the air!!!" To which Parineeti told, "@hardikpandya7 Hahaha. Maybe. Maybe not. All I can say is that the clue is in the pic itself!!!"

Afterwards, Parineeti explained the conversation by posting a video where she told, "Wow guys! I couldn’t imagine that a beautiful photo and a simple caption could actually demand a video. I guess the picture was that amazing but now, to clarify, again, my perfect partner is my new phone"

Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas’s unique pact for Saaho!

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is on a roll these days. Her career is going great guns as she has signed numerous motivating projects. Shraddha is presently promoting her next, Haseena Parkar with Brother Siddhant Kapoor. She is also preparing for Amol Gupte’s biopic on Saina Nehwal. Shraddha has also signed Saaho, with Bahubali star Prabhas.

Shraddha shared her excitement on her social media account and posted, “So, so excited to be a part of the Saaho team and to be working with Prabhas!!! Woohoo"

Saaho is an action thriller that will be made in Hindi and Telugu. The movie will be directed by Telugu filmmaker Sujeeth Reddy and will release in 2018. Saaho will be Shraddha’s first Telugu movie and Prabhas’ Bollywood debut. Shraddha and Prabhas have made a pact to help each other with Telugu and Hindi respectively.

“It isn't as though there won't be an official language coach on the sets. There will be. Both Prabhas and Shraddha will have a professional tutor to help them with their language. But Prabhas and Shraddha will converse with each other in Hindi or Telugu depending on which language they are shooting in. It is a pact between them," a source said a famous tabloid.

Shraddha’s dialogues in the Telugu version will be dubbed as “"audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are very particular about the diction in Telugu,” the source revealed.

The movie also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh as the antagonist and will be shot across Romania and Abu Dhabi. 

Deepika-Irrfan Khan starrer is inspired by real life of Sapna Didi?

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are finally team up for the second time in a gangster based movie which is being directed by debutant Honey Trehan. The movie is adapted from S Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai and is seemingly based on the life and times of Ashraf Khan, popularly known as Sapna Didi. But, lately makers specified that the movie is fictional and is not yet titled.

Speaking about it, a source said to a famous daily, "To avoid any litigation from her family members, the makers decided that they will adapt the film to suit the cinematic vision of the filmmaker."

When Hussain was asked about it, he specified, "There is no confusion between Vishal and me. We are constantly discussing the story."

He further added, "Since movies provide you with a grand canvas, the story will depart from reality. Some characters will be fictionalised."

The movie will go on floors early next year and hit the screens next year in the month of October. The movie is produced by Prernaa Arora (KriArj Entertainment). 

Ex-lover Adhyayan Suman’s no opinion for Kangana!

Actress Kangana Ranaut has been in the news for her newest statements on a talk-show. Kangana criticized Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan for misleading the media on the status of the legal case.

She also took on Aditya Pancholi and confessed that he was physically abusive towards her. Kangana also spoke about her ex Adhyayan Suman and how the interview he gave out to a publication about Kangana indulging in black magic was opportunistic.

Adhyayan had revealed in an interview to a tabloid that Kangana was physically abusive towards him, “The intensity of the slap was so hard I was almost crying. That was the first time she got violent.” He added that during another instance also she became violent. “She slapped me hard, again. I was just zapped! I was crying like a kid… and then the entire rant and MC/BC gaalis began.”

When questioned about this, Kangana had told on the talk-show, “He was 95 kgs and I was of 49 kgs. How could I ever hit him? I wouldn’t be able to? However, now that I look at it, I should have hit him”

Adhyayan was asked by a famous tabloid for his response. He told, “Sorry haven’t heard about the interview …been too caught up with the more important things in life… and I am not interested in knowing about it either. It’s ok for people to have opinions and at this time I don’t have one.” It seems that Adhyayan has definitely moved on and doesn’t want to indulge in any mud-slinging anymore. 

Managing Aamir was like winning a lottery, tells Advait Chandan!

From working behind-the-scenes on numerous flicks under Aamir Khan Productions to managing Aamir Khan's calendar and now to directing the megastar, Advait Chandan has come a long way. He considers the banner his "film school" and says being a manager to the actor-producer was like a lottery ticket for him.

Geared up to release his debut directorial "Secret Superstar", which features Aamir in a "never-seen-before" avatar, Chandan spoke on the occasion of Teachers Day on Tuesday, highlighting how working closely with Mr Perfectionist and his wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao has been a learning curve for him.

"For me, the turning point of my life was when I came into Aamir Khan Productions (AKP) to work on 'Taare Zameen Par' as a production assistant in 2007. Then I worked on 'Dhobi Ghat' and then managed Aamir sir's work. So, the banner has been like a film school for me," Chandan revealed.

He had started working in showbiz with Prahlad Kakkar and Farhan Akhtar after his schooling days.

"I really wanted to go to film school. I didn't get through FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) and couldn't afford to go to a film school abroad. So I kept working and learnt on the job," Chandan told.

"The last 10 to 11 years at AKP have been a graduate and a post-graduate degree for me... It has been my education," further added Chandan, who says he has tried to imbibe Aamir's sincere work ethics in life.

"Dhobi Ghat" gave Chandan a chance to do as numerous different jobs as he could behind the scenes, but he didn't know what to do next once the project ended.

"That's when Aamir sir was looking for a manager. When he suggested it (asked me if I wanted to manage his work), I was like 'Ye toh lottery lag gayi (It was like winning a lottery'. The thing is when you're working with him, and you're managing his work and diary, you're getting to spend time with one of the most powerful producers and actors in the country," Chandan told.

His main job as Aamir's manager was to be a "jeeta-jaagta calendar (live calendar)". But he says there were perks too.

"I could rehearse with him, give him cues, I love photography so I would get my camera and shoot him sometimes, I would be in marketing meetings where I could give suggestions. So, I got a lot of chances as it was all still within the industry and within the gambit of films," Chandan told.

"It was a great vantage point, and an entry into how a producer of his level functions... Managing him was like a full lottery ticket," Chandan said, expressing gratitude to Aamir and Kiran for letting him learn and grow despite having no film connection.

Son of a software consultant and a teacher, Chandan is now looking forward to see his hard work come alive with "Secret Superstar", releasing on October 19.

Acting phase is no longer part of my life, says Hema Malini!

Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini tells that her acting phase is no longer part of her life but if something interesting comes up then she would absolutely take that up.

"I think that phase of my life is over (laughs). Even people in parliament ask me whether I am working in films or not. I feel like doing a film, but I must get a proper story. I just can't do any films which come my way.

"If anything similar to my role in 'Baghban' or anything interesting comes my way then I will definitely work in films," Hema Malini told.

Actress Richa Chadha chose the Instagram route to acknowledge in a way that she was in Venice to be with Ali Fazal, whom she is seemingly dating over a year.

It's been five years since 90's actress Manisha Koirala was healed of cancer and now has a new lease on life. She will be making her much anticipated comeback in Sanjay Dutt's biopic. Manisha will be essaying Sanjay's mother, the legendary actress Nargis in the movie.

Speaking about her cancer, she told a leading daily, "Before cancer, my lifestyle wasn’t that great. I didn’t value my life so much. It’s only when I was struggling for life, that’s when I realised that I was struggling. So much money being spent, so much anguish, pain, and fear. That’s why I tell people, please enjoy [life], value [it] and live well because life is a gift.”

“It has been great to be a part of the film, especially since I’m playing Nargis Duttji. And it’s by one of my favourite directors. So, I’m really proud of the film,” told the actress on the lines of her professional life.

Actress Soha Ali Khan is all set to become a mother by the end of this month. She and husband Kunal Kemmu are happy for this beautiful chapter in their life and have been speaking about it whole heartedly.

Lately, Soha spoke at length about it to a leading magazine. She specified, "I believe this is a natural culmination of the commitment and bond that Kunal and I share. It’s a miracle to be able to create life within you. It took a while for the news to sink in. At first, there was a kind of paralysing shock and then a surge of both excitement and fear about all that lay ahead. It helps when you have an equally excited and nervous partner and a super supportive family. I couldn’t wait to share the news with them, especially my mother (Sharmila Tagore) and my mother-in-law (Jyoti Kemmu). Also, when Kunal and I first heard the heartbeat at the foetal scan – it was the sweetest music to our ears! I’ve always believed that a woman is complete by herself. She doesn’t necessarily need a husband and child to complete her. Which is why I was in no rush to get married or have children. But now that Kunal and I are on this journey, I’m ready to embrace a new identity as a mother. I’m the youngest amongst my siblings. So I’ve never had to look after anyone or be responsible for anyone. I’ve no idea what to expect. I’m just focusing on keeping healthy, eating well, staying positive and happy."

When Soha was asked about how excited her family is about her pregnancy, she told, "Every single member of the family has been so concerned. Kareena (Kapoor Khan) has been through this herself recently, so she’s all the more excited for me. She always checks on me. She sends me salmon and healthy desserts and warns me not to overdo things. My mother is a little anxious. She worries about my health and wants everything to go smoothly. Bhai (Saif Ali Khan) is thrilled to be an uncle soon. In fact, he had told me last year that it’s something he’s looking forward to. The timing is great because Taimur and his cousin will grow up together. My sister (Saba) looked after me when I was a baby – changing diapers and all. So I’m going to depend on her a fair bit. Kunal’s mum has knitted an entire collection of sweaters. Everyone from Kunal’s grandparents to his sister is impatient to spoil the baby."

And finally, she concluded by telling, "Kunal and I are not huge planners. We take it a day at a time. Of course, there are certain things like some basic shopping, building a nursery and looking for nurses/attendants...which we’re looking into. Salman to do a grey character first time in Race 3!

Superstar Salman Khan has signed some exciting movies for 2018 and Ramesh Taurani’s Race 3, directed by Remo D Souza, is one of them. The super star will be seen in a totally grey character – something that he has not done before and very different from who he is. Salman has always maintained that he is not comfortable playing dark characters but the cool, suave stylish character was something he just could not refuse.

A source reveals, “Earlier Salman has always maintained that he won’t do dark characters or do a negative role but then as they say an actor can never say never. The role is very exciting and has many shades. It is not a sequel to Race 2 but very different. The role will test the super star’s acting skills as it’s a complete contrast to what he is himself in real life. It’s something he has never played before but the sheer darkness of the character appealed to him immensely. Apparently Race 3 was earlier offered to Hrithik Roshan but he felt he cannot play such an immoral character. Considering that Hrithik played a professional thief one wonders at his definition of immoral. Maybe he just wants to play do-gooder roles now. This character that Salman plays in Race 3 is completely grey but that’s what Race is all about no – where all the characters are grey and there are only anti-heros? Salman is excited about Race 3 as it’s in a completely commercial genre and neither will his fans be disappointed.”

Ramesh Taurani tells, “Yes Salman’s character is completely grey in Race 3 and it’s an extremely slick, stylish and exciting one – something he has not done before. The Race franchise always has grey characters in them – we are just continuing with that. Like Saif (Ali Khan) in Race or Race 2.” 

Arjun Kapoor gets nervy about working with Parineeti Chopra again!

Actor Arjun Kapoor tells he will be both "comfortable and nervous" to work with actress Parineeti Chopra in filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming directorial venture "Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar".

Questioned how does he feel working with Parineeti again after his Bollywood debut in 2012 with "Ishaqzaade", Arjun said, "The excitement for both of us is there. We have been in touch since 'Ishaqzaade'.... But we have not actually worked together for a while. We did an advertisement in between. Even though there will be a comfort, but there will be nervousness of working back with the person you know."

Arjun, 32, tells he is really excited to see the evolution of Parineeti.

Speaking about the project, Arjun told, "The material that we have is so challenging and demanding that it is going to be a very different experience for both of us as actors because of Dibakar Banerjee Sir. I think it's a challenging script and fascinating. So, coming together and working with Dibakar Banerjee Sir in itself has two of us excited."

I discovered a great human being in Shah Rukh Khan, reveals Aanand L. Rai!

Director Aanand L. Rai is presently engrossed in one of his most ambitious projects as he collaborates withShah Rukh Khan for the first time. The untitled movie which is based on a dwarf (Shah Rukh) also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

As the filmmaker is working closely with Shah Rukh, when a famous tabloid questioned if he discovered a new side to the actor, he disclosed, "I discovered a great human being in Shah Rukh and a great friend who teaches you a lot, and then, it’s up to you to learn from him. I am really looking forward to this journey, as I have discovered somebody with whom my equation goes beyond films. I really enjoy being with him and learning from his experiences."

Salman Khan has a cameo in the film and lately shot for a song with Shah Rukh. On what it was like to direct both the megastars, Aanand specified, "That moment was pure magic. I didn’t know who was directing the sequence, because I was sitting there like a fan. And it was a big fan moment to see the two big superstars together. I really enjoyed and felt privileged that it happened in a film that I am a part of."

Aanand was also quizzed about whether he gets excited or nervous about a new release at this stage to which Rai responded, "I feel exactly the same the way I felt when I was making my first film. So, a film excites me as much as it used to. No film is a small film for me, as it’s made with same amount of passion and hard work by an entire team. A film takes away almost one-and-a-half years of yours. So when you invest that kind of time and love, it’s like having a new baby (laughs). You always develop a sense of attachment for your films, so, before its release, you feel a bit sad, as you know that it will go away from you."

Aanand's movie with Shah Rukh, Katrina and Anushka is scheduled for a Christman 2018 release.

Sonakshi to urge fans for cleaning Mumbai beaches!

Beautiful actress Sonakshi Sinha has urged her admirers and followers to clean up the beaches here.

Sonakshi on Sunday took to Twitter, where she posted a poster of the event, which read: "Join the citizens... Gandhi Statue, Juhu beach, September 6."

Sonakshi tweeted, "Hope there comes a day when we don't mess it up to begin with! Come on guys, join in to Free the beach!"

On the film front, Sonakshi will soon be seen in the thriller film "Ittefaq", directed by Abhay Chopra. The film is an adaptation of the 1969 film by the same name.

The movie will also star Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna.

Varun Dhawan gets his leading lady for October!

Varun Dhawan's alliance with Shoojit Sircar in October has grabbed the right kind of buzz.

When it comes to the leading lady to be paired opposite Varun, the actor shared a blurry photo of his #October girl.

Now, it is finally disclosed that UK based Banita Sandhu has been confirmed to star opposite Varun.

When Shoojit was questioned about casting Banita by a famous tabloid, he got frank and told that he had Banita in mind for the movie as he felt she could fit the character right.

"We did look at other actors [for Banita’s part], but then one day, I called her and told her that I may be casting her in the film and that she should start doing workshops," Shoojit told.

The filmmaker further added, "But slowly, Juhi (Chaturvedi), Ronnie (Lahiri) and I zeroed in on her and were sure that, ‘She is the girl we should go for’. My casting director also felt that she was the right person for this character."

On why he chose to work with a newcomer when he could have worked with an established actress instead, Shoojit specified, "It has never mattered to me if I am working with established or non-established actors. The demands of the script is all that matters. The script required a certain face,vulnerability and innocence, so we did many auditions."

Shoojit also told that October will mostly go on floors in October, this year.

Redefining heroism in Bollywood, tells Ayushmann Khurrana!

Now Ayushmann Khurrana has become the poster boy of the unconventional movies. The actor feels no fear of being typecast in a certain genre, but believes in redefining the image of ‘hero in Bollywood movies.

Ayushmann is known for acting in movies that make statements or send out social messages.

Questioned if he is bothered about his image of playing boy-next-door characters who deal with practical problems of middle-class lifestyle, Ayushmann revealed, "No, I do not think so... Isn't it more heroic that I can connect and reach out to audience with a topic that others might fear to narrate?"

"I think you have to be really secure as a man to play a character like Mudit (in 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan') who is still loved by his girlfriend despite going through a problem (erectile dysfunction)."

Ayushmann, who has featured in movies like "Nautanki Saala", "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", "Meri Pyaari Bindu" and the newest "Bareilly Ki Barfi", told he wants to essay characters that are larger than life.

"Like that of A-list stars or heroes in commercial cinema do... In fact, with Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film, I am changing my gear to a dark character that I always wanted to play. I can do different characters, but with the right script and right director," he further added.

For Ayushmann, essaying a man with erectile dysfunction was an interesting process as there was no reference point to it.

"Since I donated sperms in real life, I had a reference point when I acted in 'Vicky Donor'. But this (erectile dysfunction) is one of those problems that people do not talk about."

"I do not know if any of my friends or acquaintance are dealing with this issue. So, I had no reference point to play the character. That was quite an interesting process," told the actor.

"Men feel uncomfortable to talk or deal with such problem because of the mental conditioning. When it comes to boys' talk, they proudly talk about how many girls are they dating at the same time, how many times are they doing the act, etc.... They find pride in it because we are living in a particular society." 

I turned to acting only because of my sister Zoya Akhtar, reveals Farhan Akhtar!

Multifaceted Farhan Akhtar has proved his acting ability since the time he made his debut with Rock On!! in the year 2008. Since then, he has mesmerized us with his acts in movies namely Luck By Chance, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to name a few.

During a communication with a famous tabloid, Farhan made a revelation that it was his sister Zoya Akhtar who pushed him to become an actor. He specified, "I would credit her for having recognised the acting potential in me and making me an actor. I turned to acting only because of Zoya."

He further told, "My mom and dad (Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar) always felt yeh kuch nahi karne wala hai. People have been waiting for him to make the third instalment of the Don franchise and Farhan is also waiting for the right time and script. He shared an anecdote during the release of Don by telling, "I remember when I went to watch the movie with the public, just after the interval they started asking me when I would direct the next Don, and I just said arre baba, second half toh dekh lo! (At least watch the second half!) Every time the topic of directing the next Don comes up, I can only say, dekhte hain (we’ll see)."

I will neither be able to stop her nor will she listen to me, says Ajay Devgn on Nysa to join Bollywood!

Actor Ajay Devgn is a loving father to his children Nysa and Yug. He is often snapped with them by the paparazzi when spotted in the city. A lot has been talked about shutterbugs chasing star kids which turn out to be uncomfortable for them.

Lately, when Ajay was questioned about the same, he specified to a famous tabloid, "I think somewhere we all like to request that there be some distance maintained. I’m not saying this should not be spoken about at all, but somewhere the media scares them. So, it’s a request that if they can go easy on them, it would be nicer. They are kids, after all."

He had previously told to a daily, "I really request that [our] kids should be left alone. A lot of times, when they go out, they feel the pressure [of paparazzi]. They are just 13, 14 or 15 years old, and don’t understand a lot of things. Though I must say they are too smart to gauge all of it and do understand a lot of things, somewhere I feel a line must be drawn. They must be left alone since they are kids."

Previously, Kajol was questioned if she and Ajay will be fine with Nysa joining the film industry, to which she told, "Ajay is a very understanding and accepting father. We won’t force our kids to take the profession we are in, but if they want it themselves, we will support them."

Now, when Ajay was questioned if he will be comfortable if his daughter will be joining Bollywood, he responded, "That will be her choice. I just dropped her to Singapore three days ago, where she’s now studying. She wants to study, so it will always be her choice. I will neither be able to stop her nor will she listen to me. Whatever she wants to do, I will just support her. As of now, we miss her terribly."

Bhumi has been caught up doing promotional activities for two of her movies in the last few months.

Questioned if it was a tiring process for a creative mind to answer the same questions to the media regarding movies or speaking on the same topic widely, Bhumi said, "I am not bored of promoting my films because this is a new process for me. Though acting and shooting are more interesting than promotional activities. As long as I am wearing beautiful clothes and dressing up, I am happy. I love vanity as a woman in real life.”

"Yes, I play those girls next door image on screen, but off camera, I always take two hours to get ready. Whether I am going to meet my friends, party or film promotion, I am such a girly girl who takes a long time in front of the mirror to dress up. I am a typical Mumbai girl…You know what I mean," she further added.

Bhumi is trying to make her mark in the film industry with offbeat movies, breaking the image of a conventional heroine of Bollywood.

Questioned if she feels the need to be a part of the race of becoming a quintessential heroine, she responded, "I see no reason for saying no to a good story. It is more challenging for a Mumbai girl like me to play a small town girl I have no connection with. And whether it is about open defecation or on an issue like erectile dysfunction, these films are all iconic that have been made the first time in Indian cinema. So, I feel lucky to be a part of that history by doing these films."
