Director Prithviraj Sukumaran’s cameo role in Mohanlal starrer Lucifer!

South star Prithviraj Sukumaran is making his debut as a director with the movie titled as Lucifer. The movie stars Megastar Mohanlal in the lead role. Apart from Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, the film will also feature Tovino Thomas, Indrajith and Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi in key roles.

Recently, Mohanlal took to twitter to pronounce the big surprise about Lucifer. Mohanlal posted a new poster of the movie featuring director Prithviraj as Zayed Masood. Yes, the director is also a part of the cast.

Seemingly, Prithviraj might be essaying a cameo in the movie. In the meantime, the movie will see Mohanlal in the role of a politician as Stephen Nedumballi. The trailer of the movie was released recently and it opened to a good response on social media. Also, Lucifer has been certified ‘U’ with no cuts.

Hrithik Roshan to pen a heartwarming note for father Rakesh Roshan!

Recently, Hrithik Roshan took to social media to pen a heartwarming note for father Rakesh Roshan and along with a photo of the two, Hrithik disclosed that his father has been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. But what is commendable is that as Hrithik’s father goes for his surgery today, Rakesh Roshan made sure he worked out right before his surgery and in the photograph, we see Rakesh Roshan posing with his son.

Hrithik posted, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him.”

On the film front, Rakesh Roshan was all set to direct the fourth installment of the Krrish franchise, which would see Hrithik in the lead role and Krrish 4 is slated to hit the theatres on Christmas 2020.

Well-known Raj Kapoor's wife Krishna Raj Kapoor passes away!

Legendary Raj Kapoor's wife Raj Kapoor passed away in morning today (1 october 2018) at 4 AM at the age of 87. Krishna Raj Kapoor was the mother of 5 children - Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Kapoor Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Kapoor Jain and Rajiv Kapoor and the grandmother of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Nikhil Nanda, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Natasha Nanda and Aadar Jain.

After Raj Kapoor’s death in 1988, she held the entire family together and was solely responsible for her 5 kids. Randhir Kapoor issued a statement, telling, "I regret to announce that I lost my mother early this morning. She died peacefully."

Randhir Kapoor also verified that the last rites will be performed at Chembur Crematorium. The entire Bollywood is saddened by the loss of the eldest member of the Kapoor Family and have been expressing their condolences to the entire family. Imtiaz Ali wants to cast Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt in his next!

Well-known director Imtiaz Ali has worked with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in different movies. He worked with Alia Bhatt in Highway which was one of Alia Bhatt’s best performance. With Ranbir Kapoor, Imtiaz made Tamasha and Rockstar. It is stated that the director plans to bring the two livewire artists together in his next.

“He has already had a word with her and Ranbir, but nothing’s been finalised yet as it is in the initial stages,” a source revealed a famous tabloid.

Ranbir and Alia will be working together for the first time in Ayan Mukherji’s movie, tentatively titled Dragon. The trilogy will see Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of a superhero, whereas Alia will be the leading lady.

“I’m super-excited. I’ve always been open about the fact that I admire Ranbir as an actor, and I’m dying to work with him because I’m going to learn more about acting as a craft (from him). I’m also most excited about working with Ayan because I loved both his films (Wake Up Sid, 2009, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, 2013). He’s a very dear person,” Alia had told in an interview about working with Ranbir Kapoor to a tabloid.

Ranbir too shared Alia’s enthusiasm about teaming up in Ayan Mukherji and had told, “She is a fine actor, very unassuming about her success and talent. Plus, she is very evolved, cool and chilled out, so I am looking forward to the film."

Actor Tom Alter is suffering from skin cancer!

Veteran actor Tom Alter, who is famously known for his roles in TV show Zabaan Sambhalke, is suffering from cancer.

The actor is diagnosed with fourth stage bone cancer and his son Jamie Alter confirmed the news to a famous tabloid. When asked him the details, Jamie desisted from speaking much and specified, "It’s not a good time to talk. I will call you in the evening."

Tom was admitted to the hospital a few days back when he complained of body pain. Alter was working on his new movie titled Redrum A Love Story, which is being directed by Dhruv Sachdeva. When he was questioned about Tom's health, he specified, "We haven’t been told to what his health concern is but we know there are health concerns. We spoke to the family last week but they were, perhaps, hesitant to share the detail."

When the tabloid informed him about Tom being diagnosed with cancer, he responded to it telling, "I am speechless. I will get in touch with the family again."

Playwright Sayeed Alam, who is very close to Alter spoke to an online portal and told, "We are all praying for his recovery and I am sure he will recover."

Reema Lagoo passes away; Celebs mourn over her demise!

Reema Lagoo's sad demise has stunned the whole film industry. She passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59.

We caught up with a few of the celebs who have worked with the veteran actress in several of the movies. Mahesh Bhatt, who worked with her in TV show Naamkarann, said, "The sudden death of a dear friend hurls one into deep silence. She was a great actor and a greater human being."

Whereas Mohnish Behl, who played her son in Hum Saath Saath Hai and son-in-law in Hum Aapke Hai Koun...! told, "It's the level of comfort that one experience with her, with an actor who is few years senior to you. We worked together in lot of films and there was this comfort level. You could always sit down with her, approach her, chitchat, be casual and have a light hearted conversation. She was a very welcoming and warm human being. In fact I have a small house in Versova where i used to stay if i had late night shifts and Reema Ji used to stay in opposite and we used to talk from the windows. She was a wonderful wonderful woman. It is a terrible loss."​

Reema ji is recalled for her roles specifically in Tu Tu Main Main, Shrimaan Shrimati, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Rangeela, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Vaastav: The Reality, Yes Boss, Hum Saath Saath Hai, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and others.

The actress was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai soon after midnight. She had complained of chest pain.

The hospital’s executive director said a famous agency, "We will issue a health report later in the day, after consulting with her family."

Lagoo’s son-in-law Vinay Waikul told, "She was complaining of chest pain so we took her to the hospital around 1 AM. She passed away due to a heart attack around 3.15 AM. She was perfectly fine and had no health issues...so it is really shocking for all of us that she is no more with us."

Amitabh Bachchan’s No to Queen Elizabeth II for an event!

Amitabh Bachchan is maybe one of the busiest men in Tinsel Town today with back to back releases scheduled this year. 

Given his hectic schedule, the senior Bachchan who had received a special invitation from the Queen and Prince Philip, the Duke Of Edinburgh to attend the UK-India Year of Culture launch, will be giving the event a miss.

Approving the news to a famous magazine, Big B's spokesperson revealed, "Yes, Mr Bachchan has been extended a rare invitation by Queen Elizabeth and Buckingham Palace to grace the UK-India Cultural Year reception. Unfortunately, however, he will be unable to attend due to prior commitments." 

The senior actor has also extended his regret to the Buckingham Palace while adding that it's an honour to have received the invitation.

Queen Elizabeth II will be hosting the UK-India year of Culture launch at the Buckingham Palace on February 27. Many dignitaries from both the countries are expected to attend the event.

Amitabh Bachchan who was last seen in Pink will next be seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 that also stars Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy, Manoj Bajpayee, Amit Sadh among others. He will also be seen in Aankhen 2, Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan and Dragon along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra's father Surendra Shetty passes away!

Shilpa Shetty's daddy Surendra Shetty passed away, earlier in the day. Details about his demise are still not known. But, when we checked with Shilpa's spokesperson, they confirmed the news. 

Surendra Shetty is survived by wife Sunanda Shetty and daughters Shilpa and Shamita.

Kangana Ranaut discloses the 'dirty' secret of life!

Kangana Ranaut, who has been signed up to support 'Swacch Bharat' campaign, an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had a 'dirty' past, from what we have overheard.

Kangana was referring to her personal hygiene. While promoting the 'Clean India' campaign in a video, Kangana candidly confessed, ''Growing up I was a slob, very lazy and I hated having shower. I was a really dirty person. My parents were fed up, nothing good ever happened. I never made friends, no opportunities came my way. Then I read a lot about elements, compositions and energies and I learned that energies are of three types- Sattva, Tamas and Rajas. And ever since I used these things in my life my life changed. Superstar Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, who had teamed up for movies like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and De Dana Dan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, are soon gearing up to team up once more!

Priyadarshan, who had taken a sabbatical from Bollywood after Rangrezz, told that he is planning to come back to Bollywood with a family entertainer starring Akshay Kumar and that the movie will be a rib-tickling comedy. Seeing Akshay's comic talent, we are sure that this film too will be a treat for fans of comedy.

Salman Khan's new romantic jodi with Chinese actress Zhu Zhu!

Though there has been no validation about which actress will star opposite Salman Khan in Kabir Khan's forthcoming movie Tubelight, still from the movie showing Salman with a Chinese actress started doing the rounds today morning and we have cracked the case about Salman's leading lady in the movie.

  

We have learned that Salman's Chinese co-star is Zhu Zhu, whose claim to fame is being a VJ of MTV China and who has also worked in movies like What Women Want (a Chinese rom com), Shanghai Calling, The Man with the Iron Fists (alongside Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu), and Cloud Atlas (starring Tom Hanks) among others. Fascinatingly, Zhu Zhu is being handled by the same talent management agency that handled Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone's international careers.

Zhu Zhu is presently a part of the American TV show Marco Polo which premiered on Netflix in 2014.

Actress Priyanka Chopra gets another US TV show Runway!

Priyanka Chopra, who had bagged the lead role in ABC show Quantico, in which she played FBI recruit Alex Parrish, has bagged another TV show titled Project Runway, we overhear.

The 'Desi Girl' will be seen as a celebrity guest on the famous fashion reality show for its forthcoming season 15. The actress took to Instagram to post a picture of herself with model and producer Heidi Klum, designer Zac Posen, Marie Claire's Nina Garcia and Marchesa founder Georgina Chapman.
