Race to Box Office 2024: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan secures 3rd and  Maidaan 9th spot at Box Office Collections chart!

Race to Box Office 2024: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan secures 3rd and  Maidaan 9th spot at Box Office Collections chart!

With combined sales of less than Rs 20 crores, both of the Eid movies have underperformed in terms of first revenue. Now, everything depends on how well the two movies do in the next days.

Despite being a holiday, the opening day box office receipts for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar, and Sonakshi Sinha, and Maidaan, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and others, were disappointing. The majority of moviegoers liked Bade Miyan Chote Miyan over the other film, but it doesn't really mean anything when the numbers are this low—especially for a front-loaded actioner.

Miyan Bade Chote Miyan became the third best Hindi film of 2024 in India with an opening of approximately Rs 15 crores nett (Rs 18.50 crore gross), only behind Shaitaan and Fighter. Prior to the release, the advance reservations indicated a far lower opening day; nevertheless, in the final hours, there was an unusual spike in sales, which raised the initial projections. Accompanying that were respectable spot bookings for the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff action film. The collections were comparatively superior abroad. With previews included, the movie has made almost Rs 28 crores on its first day worldwide after earning about 1.15 million dollars (about Rs 9.50 crores) in just two days.

On its first day of release, Maidaan had a miserable start, earning about Rs 4 crores nett. After Fighter, Ajay Devgn's own Shaitaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Crew, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Article 370, Yodha, and Crakk, it was the eighth-biggest opening of 2024. Notably, these releases coincided with the Eid holiday. With the paid previews included on the tenth night, Maidaan has made about Rs 6 crores nett (about Rs 7.25 crores gross). Maidaan is not receiving the expected amount of money abroad either, as it has made about $100,000 (about Rs. 85 lakhs in gross revenue) in just two days. As of right now, Maidaan has grossed between Rs. 8 and Rs. 25 crores.

The day following Eid is seeing a decline in the box office receipts for both films. It appears that Maidaan has a far stronger relative hold than Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Neither of the two movies is going to make much money in the end because of their enormous expenditures.

Bipasha- Karan's intimacy make Karan’s friends annoyed!

As we know, Star couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover are going strong with each passing day and are thick as thieves.

While it is something we all are tremendously happy about, it looks like Karan’s friends are a bit unhappy with the couple sticking too much around with each other.

Seemingly, Bipasha is pretty dominating and accompanies husband Karan even during those outings with his friends. Karan’s friends have started to believe that the actor is so more fun without his wife. But, Karan is too much in love and doesn’t mind it all!

I am very confident as a storyteller but doubting myself as a filmmaker, reveals SS Rajamouli at the launch of the motion poster of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion"!

Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, who broke numerous records with his work of genius "Baahubali: The Beginning", reveals he is very confident as a storyteller, but has doubts about his filmmaking abilities.

"When I tell a story, I am very confident. I know I can blow people's mind when I tell a story. While making a film... on the editing table, I make changes 100 times. Go back and forth, I am always doubting myself as a filmmaker. But as a storyteller, I am always very sure of myself," the filmmaker told at the ongoing Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star.

But the movie's cast members, who were also present at the fest, had only good things to say about Rajamouli.

Actor Prabhas told, "Rajamouli can make shots and scenes better every day...be it on set or in the editing room."

His co-star Anushka Shetty shared that he doesn't lose his temper on sets, but takes care of minute details. "He is a taskmaster and very patient too."

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia thanked him for giving her an opportunity to be a part of the film. She told that her character Avanthika has influenced her a lot.

"When I was cast for this part... all the films that I had done earlier always had me playing a dainty character and always very pretty. This one is with a sword, brave and has to fight 6 ft 2 inches tall Prabhas and has to look convincing while doing that. So, now whenever I have to do anything brave, it doesn't stop me. 'Baahubali' has changed the way I look at myself," she told.

The motion poster of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" was also launched at the event on Saturday.

Asked about a third part of the movie, the director revealed, "We have so many stories. I don't want stories to end. There are different ways to continue stories. Films are part of it. We have back and forward stories."

The 47-year-old actor who has worked with RGV in movies like "Satya", "Kaun" and "Road" further added, "My association with RGV is quite an old one. So when he approached me for the character of Govind Deshpande I immediately agreed to do it."

Manoj Bajpayee's character is roughly based on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The third instalment of the "Sarkar" franchise will star Amitabh Bachchan as Subhash Nagre.

The movie also features Yami Gautam as the female lead, Rohini Hattangadi, Jackie Shroff, Ronit Roy and Bharat Dabholkar.

Anushka Shama was shy, standing distant and uncertain, says Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on first meeting with Anushka Sharma!

Costars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma will soon be seen together on-screen in the Karan Johar film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But, KJO mentioned that the two will come together only in one scene, and a powerful one at that. Karan told at the ongoing MAMI festival, "It was one scene, it's a powerful scene."

But, what we found more exciting was Aishwarya and Anushka first real-life meeting. The actresses spoke about it and it is assuredly heartwarming. Anushka told, "She was too good to me during an award function abroad. I was called for a party in Mr Amitabh Bachchan's suite. I was 21 then and was scared. But she was so warm to me. She kept on asking me if I am okay or not. She didn't need to do that but she did."

Aishwarya further added, "She was shy, standing distant and uncertain. It was important to make her at ease and bring her in."

Befikre Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor's kissing scenes get UA certificate!9

Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor's Befikre made buzz because of its kissing scenes. Interestingly, the trailer has been certified U/A by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This is more shocking because CBFC has always been harsh with the picturization of the intimate scenes in movies.

Speaking about it, “When we are strict with on-screen intimacy, people have a problem, when we let scenes of intimacy remain intact, people have a problem.”

Nihalani added, “The images in Befikre are not about the kisses alone. It’s about a whole lot of things, about love. The trailer shows kissing as a manifestation of love; it’s not there for titillation.”

According to Nihalani, the kisses have been shot rather well. He told, “All the kisses are in long shots. It’s only in close-ups that kissing on screen tends to look overblown. There is a difference between showing intimacy discreetly and getting so worked up about it that the camera becomes voyeuristic. As to why the CBFC has chosen to be liberal with the trailer, it’s because Aditya Chopra’s aesthetic sense makes the kissing look natural, and not vulgar at all.”

Aishwarya’s intimate scenes with Ranbir are not frivolous sensuality onscreen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor's scenes in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil created buzz and increased inquisitiveness within the admirers.

Speaking about the scenes, Aishwarya told, "It is about comfort level with my director. We know how the journey of the film would be. It wasn’t (worrying). I know my character well. There was calm and ease after working for so long.”

The 42-year-old actor further added, "Today I have worked, I know the overview. It is about how you approach a character and doing that is relevant to times from 20 years ago. It is done in a classy way. It is not frivolous sensuality onscreen.”

Directed by Karan Johar, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is slated to release on October 28, 2016.

Why do daddies have to save their sons? I don't understand this."

ACTRESS SONAM SEHGAL CHANGES PATHS!

Sonam Sehgal’s acting career didn’t really take off despite playing a key role in Nagesh Kuknoor's Aashayein.

That might explain why the 34-year-old lady has tried her hand at an alternate career. Sonal has turned scriptwriter and her first project is the short film titled Others that’s been helmed by Pradeep Sarkar. The movie centres on the plight of transgendered people and it’s already a hit on the web. I think it’s only a matter of time before Sonal takes her writing skills to the big screen.
