Race to Box Office 2024: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan secures 3rd and  Maidaan 9th spot at Box Office Collections chart!

Race to Box Office 2024: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan secures 3rd and  Maidaan 9th spot at Box Office Collections chart!

With combined sales of less than Rs 20 crores, both of the Eid movies have underperformed in terms of first revenue. Now, everything depends on how well the two movies do in the next days.

Despite being a holiday, the opening day box office receipts for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar, and Sonakshi Sinha, and Maidaan, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and others, were disappointing. The majority of moviegoers liked Bade Miyan Chote Miyan over the other film, but it doesn't really mean anything when the numbers are this low—especially for a front-loaded actioner.

Miyan Bade Chote Miyan became the third best Hindi film of 2024 in India with an opening of approximately Rs 15 crores nett (Rs 18.50 crore gross), only behind Shaitaan and Fighter. Prior to the release, the advance reservations indicated a far lower opening day; nevertheless, in the final hours, there was an unusual spike in sales, which raised the initial projections. Accompanying that were respectable spot bookings for the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff action film. The collections were comparatively superior abroad. With previews included, the movie has made almost Rs 28 crores on its first day worldwide after earning about 1.15 million dollars (about Rs 9.50 crores) in just two days.

On its first day of release, Maidaan had a miserable start, earning about Rs 4 crores nett. After Fighter, Ajay Devgn's own Shaitaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Crew, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Article 370, Yodha, and Crakk, it was the eighth-biggest opening of 2024. Notably, these releases coincided with the Eid holiday. With the paid previews included on the tenth night, Maidaan has made about Rs 6 crores nett (about Rs 7.25 crores gross). Maidaan is not receiving the expected amount of money abroad either, as it has made about $100,000 (about Rs. 85 lakhs in gross revenue) in just two days. As of right now, Maidaan has grossed between Rs. 8 and Rs. 25 crores.

The day following Eid is seeing a decline in the box office receipts for both films. It appears that Maidaan has a far stronger relative hold than Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Neither of the two movies is going to make much money in the end because of their enormous expenditures.
