I have overcome my nervousness of performing live on stage, says Arijit Singh!

Well-known Arijit Singh is one of the most melodious singers in the country. With songs like Laal Ishq, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Safar and latest Binte Dil and numerous others, he has succeeded to win a lot of hearts.

The singer is now eventful with his all-India tour. He has performed in a lot of cities over the country in last few months for the same.

A daily questioned Arijit Singh about his experience of his singing-tour, he told, "It was a larger-than-life experience; one of the best I've had in a long time. I wanted to reach out to my fans across the country and this was a great way to get close to them. I am glad I got a chance to perform for them in their own cities."

Probe him what he has learnt from this tour, he replies, "I have overcome my nervousness of performing live on stage. The tour marked an amazing start to the year for me as well. I am taking away a lot of happy memories."

Arijit told that he loves both - performing live on stage and singing inside a studio. "Being inside a studio and performing live are two completely different experiences, and I enjoy both. Performing live is like inviting people over for a house party, where I can sing my heart out while people around join it. When I am on stage, I make sure I interact with the audience. Studio recordings, on the other hand, are technical," told Arijit.

Presently, Arijit Singh is leading the pack of singers in the Bollywood. Belting out many hits like Tum Hi Ho, Kabira, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil etc, Arijit's voice has become synonymous with almost all the leading actors. But, the singer himself sounds anxious about his place in the showbiz!

In a communication with a daily, Singh told, "I don't think I have a long way to go. This might be my last year." Referring to the short shelf life of Bollywood's artistes, the 29-year-old singer stated added, "Normally, fresh voices replace (current favourites) every five to seven years in Bollywood."

But Arijit also offers a solution to this tricky situation. "I might be able to change that. If I work really hard on specific genres, I might be able to stay longer. That way, I can emerge as the only singer who can croon songs of those genres. Maybe that's how I will survive," told Arijit.

Arijit keeps a safe distance from any kind of media and social interaction. On being urged, he specified, "I enjoy a quiet life, without much interruption. Over the past three years, I have seen my fan base grow, and I think it's essential for them to know that I've always been someone who refrains from interactions because I enjoy a silent life. With the growth of social media, this, too, becomes difficult."

Arijit Singh lately made headlines when he posted a dramatic apology letter to Salman Khan on Facebook and begged him publicly to retain his song Jag Ghumiya in his forthcoming movie Sultan. In his apology letter, which he later deleted, Singh hinted that his song from Sultan was being removed as Khan was upset with him for insulting him at an awards function.

But, when asked to comment on the same during a recent media interaction, Salman said, ''Who is Arijit?'' before going on to add, ''In every film there are lot of singers who sing and director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected, so why get so upset and so hurt. This is life. Smart ones don't turn out bright. Then smart comments and posts come up… You come to know the intentions.''

Arijit Singh posts public apology to Salman for retaining his song in 'Sultan'!

Late on Tuesday night, singer Arijit Singh posted an open letter to Salman Khan, apologizing to him about a dispute. In the letter, the Gerua singer demanded Salman to retain a song of his in Sultan. But, after a couple of hours, Arijit deleted his post.

Seemingly, a song sung by Arijit in Sultan has been dropped from the movie. The genuine letter stated that Arijit tried to apologize to the Bollywood megastar on many occasions, but to no avail.

After deleting the original post, the singer put up another post on Facebook, "I hope he gets my letter through someway. Ps. This whole thing will backfire at me I know. Prayers.."

The reason why Salman is miffed with him is unclear, but there is plenty speculation. Seemingly, Arijit's comments at an awards show in 2014, which Salman was hosting, irked the star.

In the meantime, several tweets claims that the actor is upset with music director Mithoon and not Arijit.

Gifted Singer Arijit Singh to turn director!

After winning hearts with his voice, singer Arijit Singh is now keen to do the same through other mediums, it seems.

Rumour has it that the singer, who shot to fame with the song Tum hi ho from Aashiqui 2, is quite obsessive about film-making and is giving serious thought to wearing a director's hat. Though the source was mum on the details, it seems that Arijit had been flirting with the idea since a long time and has now finally decided to helm a movie.

Arijit had started his career as a participant in reality show 'Fame Gurukul'.
