Presently, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is so hectic due to Pataakha’s promotions. The movie stars Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan. During a media chat, he disclosed as to why he decided to cast new actors. He revealed "I wanted to work with Uma Thurman and Scarlett Johansson as sisters in the film as it would have looked so amazing to see them speaking Rajasthani in the film, but sadly, they don't know how to speak Rajasthani.''

Also, when questioned the actual reason behind casting new actors, he further revealed, "I wanted to cast new people in this film because the kind of commitment I was seeking in this film would have been given to me by new actors only."

Basically, Pataakha is based on Charan Singh Pathik's play Do Behnein. The movies trailer released on August 15 and went VIRAL! Besides Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan, Pataakha features Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz in key roles. Pataakha is slated to release on September 28, 2018.

Bollywood actress Radhika Apte has become a well-known face in Bollywood due to her back-to-back movies and web series. In a media chat with a daily, she opened up on how when she started her career in 2010, she was hemmed in by stereotypes like that of not letting her play North Indian characters. 

“Initially, when I started, I had a few issues. Like [people] constantly used to tell me that you can’t play a North Indian, because you are a Maharashtrian. And now, a North Indian is playing Laxmibai,” Radhika revealed to the leading daily. She also took a subtle dig at Kangana Ranaut as she will be playing the role of Rani Laxmibai in Manikarnika. “So, why is it the other way around that you have a problem with?” further added Radhika.

Explaining her stand on the same, she further added, “We’ve had North Indian characters play South Indian characters. But that’s good. That’s how it should be. Actors shouldn’t be restricted on the basis of where they come from, and [be] cast on that basis. Of course, there’s a lot of hard work that goes into preparing for such characters. For example, if I’m playing a Punjabi character, wouldn’t I work for two months to learn the language, and other little details of [being] a Punjabi?”

Fine, these 8 years in the industry has taught Radhika to be patient and not to complain. On this, she revealed, “Sometimes, it makes sense that directors want to cast someone who’s from that region. They might bring more to the table, because they belong to a specific area. So, you shouldn’t take things personally. A lot of times it happens that, when you don’t get a role, you say, ‘Why did I not get that role?’ Because that role was written for someone else, and you shouldn’t take such things personally. I’ve done a lot of roles for which I wasn’t the first choice — it went to someone else first — and I’ve got a lot of success like that.”

Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan join hands for reviving No 1 series!

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. Varun made his debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's Student of The Year. His first association with his director-father was Main Tera Hero in 2014. Last year, they again came together for Judwaa 2 and both the films worked well at the box office. As per report in a daily, Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan will unite for the third time and revive David's No 1 series. The movie will be a comedy and the project.

As per daily, the film is still in the scripting stage. A source revealed, "Impressed with Varun’s performance in one of his upcoming films, David wanted to collaborate with his son again for an out-and-out comedy for which he has already begun pre-production and frequent meetings with technicians. However, this one isn’t a remake like Judwaa 2 but an original script that will revive David’s No 1 series." The source stated that Varun Dhawan is also quite thrilled to work again with his father.

Vishal Bharadwaj verified at a media interaction recently that he will work with Priyanka Chopra in his next movie. The movie will go on floors next year and will be based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. He added that they have met 3-4 times to discuss the project. The director-actor duo has worked in movies like Kaminey and Saat Khoon Maaf. Both the movies garnered commercial and critical acclaim. Vishal Bharadwaj revealed this at the launch of the song, Balma from his movie Pataakha.

Vishal Bhardwaj revealed, “Priyanka (also) wants to work with me. And we are working with each other. Hopefully, we will start the film next year.” Vishal Bharadwaj was one of the few guests invited to Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ engagement party. He had attended it at her residence in Mumbai on August 18, 2018.

Soundarya Sharma lately pronounced that she is indeed part of the Wonder Woman franchise. 

As per a media reports, she disclosed how she is super thrilled to be part of the DC universe. "This I can say is a 'dream coming true' situation. It's exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character and idolised it," she revealed.

Earlier, Soundarya made her Bollywood debut with Ranchi Diaries. The details of her role are not yet revealed but rumours have it that she has a bagged a key role in the movie. The same is being directed by Patty Jenkins.

Well-known American comedian and actor Eddie Murphy is all set to become a father for the 10th time. Eddie Murphy and his girlfriend named Paige Butcher will be welcoming their second child in the month of December this year. Speaking about it, Eddie's spokesperson in a statement disclosed, "Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December."

They already have a daughter named Izzy Oona, who is a two-year-old.

Bollywood star Arjun Rampal’s upcoming Paltan is creating a lot of buzz. As per reports, Arjun Rampal is playing the role of a soldier in the film, Colonel L Rai Singh, and for the same, the actor’s personal trainer accompanied him during the shoot of Paltan.  

It is well-known fact that the life of a soldier is very difficult and physically demanding and to bring the rawness of a soldier to life, Arjun Rampal had to work out strictly. Since Arjun’s role demanded rigorous workouts, the actor decided to go the extra mile for this role. As a matter of fact, Arjun’s trainer accompanied him during the shoot of Paltan. As per a daily, all through the shoot of J P Dutta's Paltan, a personal trainer of actor Arjun Rampal trained him in the harsh freezing weather. Not only this, along with his personal trainer, real-life soldiers at the border area gave Arjun Rampal and other actors intense military training to get into the skin of a soldier's character.

Paltan tells the untold story of 1967 Indo-China war, where Nathu La military from India fight the Chinese military from acquiring Sikkim. Paltan consists an ensemble cast as Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhant Kapoor, Luv Sinha, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, Deepika Kakar and Monica Gill. The film started on a solid note and now has entered the 100-crore club.

Akshay Kumar's Gold (52.5% occupancy in 3050 screens) had also surpassed Salman Khan's Race 3 (50% occupancy in 4300 screens) in terms of the first day box office occupancy rate.
