Conjectures around who would be the female lead in Sushant
Singh Rajput's Chanda Mama Door Ke have been going around for quite some time
now. Firstly, media was abuzz with the reports of actress Aisha Sharma having
been roped in to essay the lead role opposite Sushant.
But, the makers repudiated the news and released an official
statement that read, "There is no truth to the report. The casting for the
film is still underway and an official announcement will be made soon."
Later, news of Fatima Sana Shaikh also made rounds which
were soon dismissed and a source quoted to a daily, "The makers of Chanda
Mama Door Ke have been hunting for a leading lady, and they’re keen on casting
Fatima for this film. Right now, nothing is on paper, so one can’t confirm
anything about this.”
And then the reports came that Shraddha Kapoor has come on
board for the film. But, now she has also repudiated the reports and said a famous
tabloid, "That’s not true. I haven’t even been offered the film. There’s
no point talking about doing or not doing it."
