When we think of a megastar, names like Shah Rukh Khan and
Salman Khan pop up. It is said that the younger generation is incapable to
achieve the status of superstardom. But, Sanjay Dutt differs with that.
Sanjay specified to a famous daily, "It is possible to
achieve what Salman or Shah Rukh or I have," and further added, "I
believe the younger generation just needs to make right choices. They need to
understand that India is not only about multiplexes, there is a lot of audience
beyond that."
The actor added later, "The moment you reach out to the
audiences in the interiors of the country you will start becoming the star. I
think they should get down to making films for these people."
When questioned about his opinion on whether Bollywood has
become content-driven now, Sanjay revealed, "Things change over time. If
everybody is saying that content is the main thing today, then it is great. But
when I read scripts, I can't see the change people are talking about. I still
get stupid scripts."
In the meantime, Sanjay is making his comeback with Bhoomi
which is helmed by Omung Kumar. The film which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari
chronicles around a father who seeks revenge for the wrongdoings done to his
daughter.
Bhoomi is scheduled to release on September 22, 2017.
