Well-known director Imtiaz Ali has worked with Alia Bhatt
and Ranbir Kapoor in different movies. He worked with Alia Bhatt in Highway
which was one of Alia Bhatt’s best performance. With Ranbir Kapoor, Imtiaz made
Tamasha and Rockstar. It is stated that the director plans to bring the two livewire
artists together in his next.
“He has already had a word with her and Ranbir, but
nothing’s been finalised yet as it is in the initial stages,” a source revealed
a famous tabloid.
Ranbir and Alia will be working together for the first time
in Ayan Mukherji’s movie, tentatively titled Dragon. The trilogy will see
Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of a superhero, whereas Alia will be the leading
lady.
“I’m super-excited. I’ve always been open about the fact
that I admire Ranbir as an actor, and I’m dying to work with him because I’m
going to learn more about acting as a craft (from him). I’m also most excited
about working with Ayan because I loved both his films (Wake Up Sid, 2009, and
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, 2013). He’s a very dear person,” Alia had told in an
interview about working with Ranbir Kapoor to a tabloid.
Ranbir too shared Alia’s enthusiasm about teaming up in Ayan
Mukherji and had told, “She is a fine actor, very unassuming about her success
and talent. Plus, she is very evolved, cool and chilled out, so I am looking
forward to the film."
Imtiaz’s last movie, Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma’s Jab
Harry Met Sejal received tepid response from the viewers and collected average
money at the box-office.
