Without any release in 2016, Deepika Padukone is now preparing for 2017's one of the biggest releases as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Actress Deepika Padukone feels that she has been lucky that the movie landed in her lap!

In a communication with a famous tabloid, Deepika opened up about as to why she is choosing one tough role after another. "It’s not a conscious decision. Those are the kind of roles that have been coming my way. You can call it my instincts or the timing, but that’s what I’m also attracted to. I think there’s a time and place for everything, so it’s not like I consciously pursue a film like Padmavati. It landed in my lap, and I think certain films are destined to have you in them. Either way, destiny plays a major role, as certain films aren’t meant for you," told Deepika.

On being questioned if Padmavati is going to be a challenging part to play, Deepika who will be working for the third time with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, revealed, "There are so many times when you want to do a particular film and you try everything under the sun to make it work, but it doesn’t. This one just fell in my lap, and it’s so exciting that I have been given an opportunity to play such a powerful role. Padmini is someone who is worshiped by so many people. (The film) is something that I am extremely proud of, and I feel very lucky that something like this came my way. It’s going to be a very tough six months." 

Padmavati is slated for a November 17, 2017, release. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.

TV star Jennifer Winget has worked in the TV industry for 16 years now. But, the actress believes that the watchers have not yet experienced good content. In a communication with a tabloid, the Dill Mill Gaye star revealed, “Any kind of change takes time. We particularly don’t watch typical saas- bahu sagas but they there are people who survive on such shows. Some people can relate to it and some can’t. Television is just delivering what is in demand.” 

Winget is presently seen in the show Beyhad in which she is playing the role of an obsessive lover. Her ongoing serial is a finite one. Speaking about the trend of finite series, she told, “I think finite series gives you more time to write down your journey in any show. When it’s a finite series, you know the start and know your end. The writers and actors know what is going to happen, so the interest is not lost.”

Kangana Ranaut to become a 'Hunterwali'!

After mesmerizing the viewers with her tremendous acts in movies like Queen and Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Rangoon, in which the actress will essay her first biopic character. 

As per reports, Kangana will essay the role of Mary Ann Evans aka Fearless Nadia in Vishal Bhardwaj's movie.  A source close to the project revealed, “The film is based on Bollywood’s original stuntwoman also known as hunterwali. In the earlier part of her journey (in the film), she meets this Indian officer (Shahid) who is fighting for British army (World War II) and falls in love with him. Later when she comes to India, she meets Bollywood’s director Jamshed JBH Wadia’s younger brother Homi (Saif) who starts casting her in his movies thereby giving her the tag of hunterwali. Post this, he falls in love with her and starts writing movies keeping her in mind. Eventually, she too falls for him and later they get married.”

As per reports, Hunterwali was said to be the first lead role for actress Kangana. She performed some daredevil stunts in the movie, which owed her this title. 

Rangoon also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles and is scheduled for a 2017 release.
