Ajaz will be seen playing a negative character – that of a
lunatic called Azhar to whom nothing matters more than money and he has a huge
crush on Rehana (Yuvika Chaudhary).
While speaking about the show,
Ajaz Khan revealed, “There are two reasons why I opted for
Amma, first is obviously Shabana Ji. I’m a huge fan of hers. The prospect of
sharing screen space with such a formidable personality was compelling enough
by itself, so I agreed instantly. Secondly, the unusual storyline and my
character made me take up the show. My first day of the shoot was
amazing. With such high production values, it feels like you are shooting
for a film not a TV show. And, that’s what is unique about Amma. I will be seen
essaying the character of Azhar, who’s a psychopath and wants to rule Bombay.
But, till the time Amma, Faisal and Haider are around, he can’t achieve his
dream. And, he will wreak havoc in their lives. He’s very intelligent and at
the same time, extremely crazy. I have been shooting for a couple of days now and
I’m glad to have such awesome co-actors. Everyone on the sets is so welcoming;
it feels like home. I look forward to a great audience reaction; hope they like
it”.
