After successfully adapting three Shakespearean tragedies
with Maqbool, Omkara and Haider, director Vishal Bhardwaj is not done with the
Bard of Avon yet! The director is keen on adapting either another tragedy or
one of William Shakespeare's comedies.
Bharadwaj lately returned from London where his
Shakespearean trilogy was screened at an event that marked the great
playwright's 400th death anniversary. The filmmaker, who thought that the
adaptations were confined to Bollywood, was astonished to see that the movies
were highly appreciated. Following the great response from the British
audience, Vishal told that after the dark dramas, he is thinking of a comedy,
but at the same time he is keen on adapting 'King Lear' for the Indian viewers.
Bharadwaj's next Rangoon is a period love story set against
the backdrop of Second World War, which stars Saif Ali Khan,Shahid Kapoor and
Kangana Ranaut.
