Kangana Ranaut wins Best Actress Award for Panga and Manikarnika!


Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut has got the best birthday gift as she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for movies Panga and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The 67th National Film Awards were pronounced today.

The awards were announced by the Directorate of Film Festivals, that comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, for the year 2019.

'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is a period drama based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, who played a key role in India's first battle of independence against the British in 1857. In the movie, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, Ranaut played the lead role of the 19th-century warrior queen.

The Queen star has managed to bag her 4th National Award.
