Rajkummar Rao speaks about Fanney Khan’s poor reviews!!

Well-known celeb Rajkummar Rao is on the cloud nine due to his flourishing career. The actor shared the screen space with Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan, his latest outing. Fanney Khan didn't pick up that well at the box office and Rajkummar believes that every time actors can't give a five-star rating movie. He revealed to a daily, "It [poor reviews] doesn't affect my mindset. That people couldn't connect to the story is a momentary [setback]. But then, you learn your lesson."

Rajkummar further revealed, "I have read reviews where people said that they wanted to see more of my character in the narrative. That is encouraging. At the end of the day, I can only control my honesty in the film. What people like or dislike is not in my hands." Speaking about the reviews, he told, "We can't always make films which will get a five-star rating. It's fine with me. I just have to keep working and keep believing in things that matter to me."

Tere Jaisa Tu Hai song from Fanney Khan!

Recently, the filmmakers have released a new song, Tere Jaisa Tu Hai. Sung by Monali Thakur, the song has music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Director Atul Manjrekar to justify casting of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan!

Bollywood’s beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be next seen in the movie Fanney Khan. Helmed by Atul Manjrekar, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The movie is an adaptation of Dutch movie Everybody's Famous.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essays the role of a pop star in the movie. The song Mohabbat gives us a prevue of her character in the movie and she looks like a diva in it.

In a chat with a famous daily, director Atul Manjrekar revealed about Aishwarya and the reason she agreed to do the movie.

He told that the role was written keeping Aishwarya in mind. "Everyone was sure that Aishwarya would do justice to the role. She is one of the most beautiful women, a true performer, a diva, and an iconic figure that girls look up to," revealed Atul.

Fanney Khan is scheduled to release on August 3, 2018.

Film Fanney Khan’s trailer is out now. The movie stars Anil Kapoor in the titular role with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles.

The trailer begins with Anil as Fanney Khan winning hearts in the 80s, then it pans to 2018, where he is a middle-class man, who drives taxi and lives with his wife Divya Dutta and a teenage daughter. Their daughter is also brilliant like her father but she is fat shamed always whenever performed onstage.

To fulfil her daughter's dream, Anil decides to team up with Rajkummar and kidnap Aishwarya, who plays the role of Baby Singh, India’s biggest pop star.

It is interesting in its plot and wait for film release.

Fanney Khan’s poster reveals plot of the film!

When the promo for Fanney Khan was unveiled, people got a glimpse of the lead actors which include Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao. In the film, Anil will be seen essaying the role of a dad to a teenage girl with musical aspirations while Aishwarya will be playing a pop star with Rajkummar as her love interest.

Lately, the poster for the movie has been uncovered and it gives a big hint about the plot of Fanney Khan. In the poster, Anil has put on a mask of Rajinikanth and Rajkummar has covered his face. Both are posing as kidnappers and Aishwarya looks like a poor victim who has been tied at the chair.

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor reveals he had fun working with actress Divya Dutta in "Fanney Khan".

After wrapping up her shooting schedule for the movie Fanney Khan, Divya tweeted,  "And it's wrap time for me on the 'Fanney Khan' sets! Beautiful journey. Anil Kapoor, you are a dream co-star to work with. And will you always look that good??? Thank you my dearest Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for yet another beautiful film... Atul Manjrekar been so much fun working with you,"

To which, Anil replied, "It's been a blast working with you Divya. It has been an amazing journey indeed with you playing your role exceptionally in it. Our 'Fanney Khan' family would be incomplete without you."

Earlier, Divya had told that her role in "Fanney Khan" is "beautiful, emotional, soft and strong".

Aishwarya to become Indian Madonna for Fanney Khan’s special song!

Beautiful star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to be seen as a stylish singer in Atul Manjrekar's directorial debut Fanne Khan co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The former beauty queen will be shooting for a song this week which will show her as Indian Madonna, as per a daily.

Speaking about the song sequence, director Atul specified to the leading daily, "Aishwarya plays a huge pop icon who’s extremely popular with the youngsters. Her character is a fabulous dancer and singer who performs on the global stage. While fleshing out her character, we began referencing a bunch of choreographers who do international live shows. Frank is among the best in the world and we decided to approach him."

The song will be choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr, who has worked with Beyoncé and Rihanna. When questioned about Frank, Atul revealed, "Frank was excited at the opportunity to work with Aishwarya whom he knows of and immediately came on board."

Film is slated to release on August 3, 2018. The film is based on the Belgian movie Everybody's Famous! released in the year 2000.

Rajkummar Rao's broken leg delays Fanney Khan shooting!

Bollywood actress Rajkummar Rao is one of the most capable actors that we have in Bollywood lately. The actor is all set to star in Fanney Khan along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.

The actor was super thrilled to romance Aishwarya. But, the shooting has been delayed as our favourite actor has fractured his leg on Farah Khan's show Lip Sing Battle. His injury is now affecting the shooting schedule of Fanney Khan.

The film's producer Prernaa Arora revealed a leading daily, “We learnt about the mishap on Sunday and the schedule will be changed accordingly. We will resume work on Rajkummar's portions as soon as he recovers as he has combination scenes with both Anil sir and Aishwarya."

"Our earlier plan was to wrap up by November. Now, we will know on Tuesday how much time he will need to recover. For now, we will finish the solo portions with Anil sir, Aishwarya and the other actors. So, the shooting is not delayed."

Rajkummar's Fanney Khan co-star Anil Kapoor visited the injured actor in the hospital with Farah Khan. Anil and Farah also posed with a smiling Rajkummar who was seen wearing a cast in his leg. 

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s No for Fanney Khan’s intimates scenes!

Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will next be seen playing a different role along with Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in Fanney Khan. Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where she was seen slaying as Saba beside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film also had Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in a small cameo.

The gifted actor made headlines after she romanced Ranbir Kapoor onscreen in the movie. Following this, reports suggested that her in-laws were very annoyed with her over this.

As per a report in a famous tabloid, Aishwarya has now said NO to do intimate scenes in Fanney Khan to avoid any such annoyances.

A source disclosed to the gtabloid, "Aishwarya is very particular about every scene in her films. She has expressed her apprehensions in doing a few intimate scenes for Fanney Khan.”

Anil Kapoor’s grey hair look in Fanney Khan!

Evergreen Anil Kapoor is all set to essay an ambitious singer in Fanney Khan. The film which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta is being helmed by Atul Manjrekar and co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.

Anil took to his Instagram page recently to share the first look of his character for the film. The actor looks evergreen as always but is sporting a salt and pepper hairstyle.

His caption reads as, "Think you who know #FanneyKhan is? Think again! This is just the tip of the iceberg...With Fanney, the only thing you can expect is the unexpected!"

According to a leading daily, the actor took about 50 hours to finalise the look as he spent 10 hours for five days consecutively at a hair salon. It's not only his hairstyle though; the actor had to become lean as well and changed his workout regime. He was able to accomplish that in four weeks. 

Rajkummar Rao is super-excited to do work with Aishwarya in Fanney Khan!

Earlier, the casting for an actor to star opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan was going on for the longest time. Names like R Madhavan, Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal popped up.

Lastly, it was pronounced that Rajkummar Rao was chosen for Fanney Khan. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who is one of the producers, took to Twitter to pronounce the news and posted, "#FanneyKhan @AnilKapoor @RajkummarRao @divyadutta25 @TSeries @kriarj #Ash welcome aboard Raj tighten your seat belt for the roller coaster."

As per a famous tabloid, Rajkummar will be growing a beard for the same so as to look compatible with Aishwarya, with whom he has more than a decade's difference.

Speaking about being a fan boy of Aishwarya, Rajkummar disclosed to the tabloid, "I am super-excited to be working with her (Aishwarya). I’ll start preparing for my part in Fanney Khan the moment I am done shooting for my film on Subhash Chandra Bose."

Earlier, there were rumors that R Madhavan will be romancing Aishwarya in the movie. And then yesterday, the directer explained that it's Rajkummar Rao who is on board for the movie.

R Madhavan had told that he opted about because of date issues. He told, "I loved the script and was really keen to be part of an interesting ensemble like Fanney Khan, unfortunately I couldn't commit to the project due to date issues. I wish the team of Fanney Khan all the luck."

Now, as per a report in a famous daily, Madhavan questioned for a whopping amount for the role and that's why the makers roped in Rajkummar.

But, then the reports of Rajkummar Rao replacing Madhavan replacing Madhavan started doing the rounds. Now, the director has confirmed that Rajkummar is on board now. In an interview, the co-producer of Fanney Khan, Prernaa Arora had spoken about the movie's shoot schedule and Aishwarya's role. She had said, "The team starts building the set in Mumbai next month and Anil will kick off shooting in the first week of August. Aishwarya joins him by the month-end and the film will wrap up in a start-to-finish schedule by October."

When quizzed about Aishwarya's role, Prernaa had revealed, "Ash was blown away by her glamorous and “highly stylised” character. We took the script to her two months ago and she immediately gave her nod."

Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor come together for Fanney Khan!

After astonishing us all with her sexiness as Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back with a bang. She will be reuniting with Anil Kapoor after 17 years on screen with Fanney Khan. The film marks the directorial debut of Atul Manjrekar and is co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Arjun N Kapoor and Prernaa Arora.

"We go on the floors by the year-end. It is a happy, slice-of-life film. We approached Aishwarya for the part and are glad she agreed to come onboard," Prernaa confirmed with a famous daily.

Firstly, it was stated that Fanney Khan is the Hindi remake of the Dominique Deruddere's directorial, Everybody's Famous! But now, as per the daily the team is making some changes to the comedy-musical.

In the meantime, Fanney Khan is one of two movies that Aishwarya has signed. The other movie still remains a mystery but if rumours are to be believed then she may star in Mani Ratnam's next.

In an interview with a famous entertainment portal, Aishwarya had told, "The last six months post-November was a very strong experience personally that I went through. So I had kind of shut down to my professional world and I'm very glad on it. I've just started as of, literally, last week meeting with a couple of narrations again and I'm not just being cryptic but there are two that I've already, that's pretty quick right to say that I've already liked (laughs) and kind of open myself up too because it's the filmmakers when we do talk about, you'll know that why it was easy to nod in agreement because it's the filmmakers who I have known, I have worked with and I've known over a very long period so two ideas already kind of given a nod to. Now we have to see that it all works out schedule wise, very soon. I guess when I'm back we'll talk about it." 

She has also been approached with Abhishek Bachchan for Anurag Kashyap's Gulab Jamun. While both Aishwarya and Abhishek have confirmed that they were approached for the movie, they are yet to sign on the dotted line.

Anil Kapoor opens about his character in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Fanney Khan!

Anil Kapoor, who is presently seen playing counter-terrorism operative Jai Singh Rathod in TV show 24, will be next seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Fanney Khan and the actor lately shared some details about his character in the movie.

Talking about his role in the movie, Anil told that he will play the role of a colourful Muslim character from the Bhendi Bazar area of South Mumbai and will have a specific personality and attitude. Anil told that the film team is working on the costume, look and accessories of the character and added that it will be one of his most challenging and entertaining characters ever.

Anil will also be seen teaming up with his nephew Arjun Kapoor in Mubaraka.
