Earlier, the casting for an actor to star opposite Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan was going on for the longest time. Names like R
Madhavan, Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal popped up.
Lastly, it was pronounced that Rajkummar Rao was chosen for
Fanney Khan. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who is one of the producers, took to
Twitter to pronounce the news and posted, "#FanneyKhan @AnilKapoor
@RajkummarRao @divyadutta25 @TSeries @kriarj #Ash welcome aboard Raj tighten
your seat belt for the roller coaster."
As per a famous tabloid, Rajkummar will be growing a beard
for the same so as to look compatible with Aishwarya, with whom he has more
than a decade's difference.
Speaking about being a fan boy of Aishwarya, Rajkummar disclosed
to the tabloid, "I am super-excited to be working with her (Aishwarya).
I’ll start preparing for my part in Fanney Khan the moment I am done shooting
for my film on Subhash Chandra Bose."
Directed by Atul Manjrekar and produced by Rakeysh Omprakash
Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series, Fanney Khan is scheduled for an April
2018 release.
