Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were lately
in Varanasi to promote their forthcoming movie Jab Harry Met Sejal. The two
made sure to keep up the enthusiasm amongst fans who had thronged in large
numbers to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars.
From singing a Bhojpuri song to narrating his famous
dialogues from his hit film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, SRK did it all to enthral his
fans. During their stay in Varanasi, the actor along with Anushka and Imtiaz
Ali stopped by to savour a Banarasi paan.
The trio was pleasantly surprised to learn that the shop was
a 70-year-old shop, named 'Tambulam Paan shop'.
People thronged his shop post, SRK savoured a paan at his
shop and asked him to make the same paan for them. Excited with this, the
shopkeeper has now named that paan after SRK and has priced it at INR 35, which
is his highest price for a paan.
Sharing the experience, he told, "After Shahrukh Khan
has come and eaten paan at my shop, I am getting nonstop requests for exactly
the paan that he ate. Not just from Varanasi, but I am getting calls from other
cities also to parcel and send that paan. So I decided to have that paan
separately in my menu. It's the most expensive paan that I have on my
list."
Now SRK fans know where to visit when in Varanasi.
