Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are bringing us the tale
of India's only woman to win a medal at the Paralympic Games.
The Excel Entertainment men were instantly amazed by the
life of the shot put champ Deepa Malik when they heard her story, and they’re
certain that her moving tale will resonate with desi audiences. Farhan and
Ritesh have already begun researching the life of the athlete who lost the
ability to walk because of a tumour, and the film will go into production this
year. I look forward to it.
