Actress Vidya Balan, who is known for her powerful and
dramatic roles, will be seen playing a happy-go-lucky character in Tumhari Sulu
and we have some news about her love life in the movie.
It has been learned that the makers have signed up actor
Manav Kaul to essay Vidya’s husband in the movie. Manav will seemingly essay
the role of a senior manager at a factory, who is happily wedded to Sulu, a
simple housewife-turned-radio jockey. Renowned ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni, who
is directing the movie, told, “Middle-class housewives have been portrayed as
hassled and troubled in Hindi films, but I’m a huge Hrishikesh Mukherjee fan
and he showed that even middle-class families can be happy, is directing the
film. I want the audience to walk out with a big smile on their face.”
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul
Kasbekar and Shanti Sivaram Maini, Tumhari Sulu is slated to release on
December 1.
