There was a point I started believing that may be a married actress can’t score a hit, reveals Vidya Balan!

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan's Tumhari Sulu has received a lot of praise and love from the critics and the viewers. In the film, she essays the role of a married woman whose dreams are colourful and lively. She essays the role of an RJ in the movie.

Speaking about how she feels as the movie has received a positive response, Vidya revealed a tabloid, "There was a point I started believing that may be a married actress can’t score a hit. But the love Tumhari Sulu is getting has proved it wrong. The films, I did before this, were probably not successful in building connect with the audience. It is a personal movement of glory for me. The actor part of me is as precious to me as a married woman part of me."

She further spoke about failures from the past that has helped her now. Vidya revealed, "Success and failures are a part of life. Every day is not a Sunday. The only thing as an artiste I can do is keep moving forward, keep working hard and keep growing. The joy is in learning. Failures help me rise."

Vidya received the Star Screen Awards for Best Actress for her act in Tumhari Sulu. 

Vidya Balan’s 200% from the heart for Tumhari Sulu!

Bollywood diva Vidya Balan, who is preparing for her forthcoming "Tumhari Sulu", tells that she has given her 200 per cent to the movie because it is one of the best scripts she came across in a long time.

"It was exceptional experience working with (director) Suresh Triveni. The day he narrated me the whole script, it was one of the best scripts I've heard in the longest time. But during the filming, a lot of changes happened. We all thought we can make the film better, so everyone gave 200 per cent from the heart, it was tiring at times, but at the end, there was immense satisfaction," revealed Vidya at the trailer launch of the movie recently.

Vidya is known for hard-hitting and strong roles but with "Tumhari Sulu", she will be seen in a whole new funny and full of life avatar.

"I definitely know that I've not had fun on the screen for a while. I've been playing very intense and heavy characters, and after a long time I got to play this character, who is always smiling, laughing and making people laugh. I do think it is precious to make people smile and laugh, and if a film is able to do that, it is amazing. I was definitely missing that in my life," told Vidya.

Directed by Triveni, "Tumhari Sulu" is produced under the T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment banners.

The film, which also stars Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and renowned RJ Malishka in lead roles, is slated for November 17 release.

Tumhari Sulu's new poster!

The new poster of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu is out.

In the second poster, Vidya is again hiding her face and looking out from the window. She is seen wearing a saree and carrying a yellow bag while keeping her hands on her waist. Besides her, there is a pressure cooker kept which is wrapped like a gift.

Tumhari Sulu is a comedy-drama, which will be directed by adman Suresh Triveni. The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Manav Kaul in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on December 1, 2017.

Vidya Balan's husband in Tumhari Sulu has revealed!

Actress Vidya Balan, who is known for her powerful and dramatic roles, will be seen playing a happy-go-lucky character in Tumhari Sulu and we have some news about her love life in the movie.

It has been learned that the makers have signed up actor Manav Kaul to essay Vidya’s husband in the movie. Manav will seemingly essay the role of a senior manager at a factory, who is happily wedded to Sulu, a simple housewife-turned-radio jockey. Renowned ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni, who is directing the movie, told, “Middle-class housewives have been portrayed as hassled and troubled in Hindi films, but I’m a huge Hrishikesh Mukherjee fan and he showed that even middle-class families can be happy, is directing the film. I want the audience to walk out with a big smile on their face.”

Vidya Balan to become a Radio Jockey yet again for Tumhari Sulu!

Vidya Balan, who is presently eventful in promoting her forthcoming movie Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, has already signed her next movie, titled Tumhari Sulu. It is a comedy-drama, which will be directed by adman Suresh Triveni, best known for his India-Pakistan Mauka Mauka ads that aired during 2015 World Cup.

Vidya will don the role of a Radio Jockey yet again and will be playing a fun and fiesty late-night RJ called Sulochana aka Sulu, who hosts a semi-adult show.

“This gem of a script will make you cheer and laugh. The character of Sulu is fun, happy-go-lucky but grounded, everything that Vidya is even in real life," revealed Atul Kasbekar, whose Ellipsis Entertainment is jointly producing the movie with T-series.

According to a daily, Vidya will begin work on Tumhari Sulu in April. “Today's evolved audiences want content that is real and relatable. Tumhari Sulu is a lovely, heart-warming story tailor-made for Vidya and we are proud to produce it," says T-Series head Bhushan Kumar.
