Amole Gupte announced a Saina Nehwal biopic back in 2015,
and he’s finally made some big headway on the project.
The filmmaker has spent the last 18 months researching the
badminton ace and spending time with the player and her inner circle, and he
finally has a bound script. Amole will begin casting next, and has stated that
the actress he picks will have to spend a few months learning to play the sport
like a pro. I’m sure the wait will be worth it when Amole’s movie finally hits
screen!
