to comment and specified, "I have no comments. I don't want my life to be
a question-answer session for people. What I do in my personal life is not for
people to know. The minute I open up about my personal life, it will have a
snowball effect; the world will demand to know even the minutest details. I
can't let my private matters become a public spectacle."

and this is our eighth year together as a couple," she told.
Today, on the occasion of beau Haarsh's birthday, Bharti

As of now, Bigg Boss 10 ended with win of Manveer.
The reality show had taken a new turn. One of the four finalists, Manu Punjabi had
walked out of the race with Rs 10 lakh.
When all the finalists-Lopa, Bani, Manu and
Manveer-were offered the sum just like every year, Manu gave in and decided to
quit the show.
And while we would have loved to see Manu compete till the
very end, this captivating twist has certainly notched our excitement
levels.

South superstar Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya has got
finally engaged to his long-time girlfriend actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently.
The event took place in a private ceremony in Hyderabad and also some had some
biggies from the South film industry in attendance.
Ecstatic Nagarjuna also took to Twitter to pronounce the
news with a couple of pics and wrote “#Chaisam It's official now. My mother is
my daughter now. Couldn't be happier!!more pics to come.”
He also tweeted a precious pic of the couple exchanging
rings and the one with the entire family and captioned it as “#Chaisam...can't
express my happiness in words.”
While Samantha was seen in a white-golden saree, Naga was
all suited up for the big day.
Seemingly, marriage is not on cards for now and will
take place next year.
While brother Harshvardhan has visibly expressed his dissatisfaction
with not winning the best debut actor award, Sister Sonam Kapoor has apparently
taken the loss with the right spirit and is happy with just being nominated.
On being asked what does she feel about losing to Alia, the
31-year-old told, “If I haven’t won it, then I believe that it was what they
thought was the best. That’s up to Star Screen. I was not offended. I am
just excited to be nominated, it makes me feel really good. I don’t know if it’s
important, but it does make you feel good about yourself.”
“If the audience thinks I deserve to win, I am thrilled.
Getting the audiences’ love is all an actor craves for. So when they feel I
deserve it, it means the world to me. But how can I force someone to give me an
award? May be other actors can, but that’s not my personality. I
don’t think I would change who I am just to win an award. I am really glad that
the audiences think I should win, but I also believe that it shouldn’t be about
winning. It takes away from Neerja and it makes me uncomfortable
after a point,” she further added.
On the film front, Sonam will be next seen in Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di
Wedding.
Sonam and Kareena’s warm friendship on the Koffee couch is
something we still can’t help rave about. And as the beautiful actresses prep
up to begin filming Veere Di Wedding, here’s what Sonam has to say
about their bond.
Talking on the Kapoor-Kapoor connect with Kareena, Sonam told,
“Our families have been friends for three generations now. That’s reason enough
for us to be as close. I am so glad that we bond so famously well. Her dadi and
my dadi are best friends. Raj (Kapoor) sir and my grandfather used to
work together. Our families have been very, very close and I don’t think that
should ever change.”
Sonam further added, “The way Bebo and I think, there’s no
negativity. The way we live our lives or even our perspective towards life in general, is
very similar. We like to have fun and at the same time, bring in some integrity
to our work or a film we are a part of. And above all, we are very
straightforward.”
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Swara
Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
Sania Mirza and Farah Khan are surefire to be a laughter
riot on next week's episode of Koffee With Karan. This will be the tennis
player's debut on the show.
In the teaser of the forthcoming episode, when Karan
Johar asked, "Where is Sania Mirza in my life? I need to be Sania's
friend," Farah joked, "But, he will become your friend only because
you are world's number 1, I hope you know that."
To this Sania asked, "Is that why you haven't called me
on Koffee till now?". To this Karan told, "I was waiting. As soon as
you turned number 1, you got a call."
Karan then went on to ask Sania who according to her is the
Bollywood actor who should put his shirt back on and Mirza answered,
"Nobody should wear shirts. Everybody should take them off."
Karan asked Farah what would she do if a friend of hers
dated Ranveer Singh and Farah exclaimed, "Carry a big box of
condoms." And what if her friend were to date Ranbir Kapoor and the
choreographer told, "If any of Ranveer's condoms are left, please take
them."
Filmmaker Karan Johar' last directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,
alike his other movies, had a star-studded cast. ADHM had Ranbir Kapoor in
the leading role and KJo's favourite Shah Rukh Khan was seen in a
cameo appearance.
Now gossip mill has been abuzz
that Karan is all set to cast SRK and Ranbir in his next movie.
And as reports in a famous tabloid, for the
leading actress, the filmmaker is considering either Deepika Padukone or
Katrina Kaif!
Reportedly, the film is said to be a love triangle between
two brothers and how they fall in love with the same girl!
Insiders say that all the eyes are on Deepika, who is at her
peak now and Karan's latest favourite Katrina, and it will be
interesting to see who bags the role.
Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter
Sara Ali Khan is presently grabbing eyeballs in the Bollywood. The girl, who is
all set to foray in Bollywood, is being admired for her new sexy avatar.
Earlier, we said that Sara will make her dream debut
opposite Hrithik Roshan in Agneepath's director Karan Malhotra's untitled next.
But now if news in a tabloid are to go by, Saif's daughter is out of the
project!
Hrithik is still on course to essay a double role in
Malhotra's next. The 24-year-old daughter Sara was one of the two leading
ladies opposite HR in this comedy-drama. The movie was supposed to roll out in
March in Punjab.
But the news was, Hrithik has dropped out and the
project has been shelved. But, a source close to the development informed the
daily that the movie was still on track, only slightly delayed as Hrithik was
keeping busy with his newest release Kaabil. The actor was unable to sit
with Malhotra and producer Karan Johar to finalize the details.
“The last meeting between Hrithik and Karan happened last
November. Talks are still on and the duo plan to meet in a few days. They are
hoping to begin work by March. However, Sara who was being considered as the
lead may not be part of the project," said the source.
Disha Patani is one movie old in Hindi Film Industry and she
already has a major Hollywood release under her kitty - Kung Fu Yoga - in which
she has shared screen space with the international star Jackie Chan.
But more than her professional life, Disha's alleged
relationship with Tiger Shroff is talked about. In an interview with a tabloid,
Disha spoke about the couple's joint appearance on Manish Malhotra's party
(which fueled the rumors of them dating) and how relationships
in Bollywood are observed.
“Manish's party was the only party I went for,” she reasons,
adding, “Frankly, I am boring. My life is all about the film set, gym classes and
home. I have never asked Tiger whether he wants to talk about his life. When
people ask me, I say no. I never hide anything or stop people from asking about
Tiger. I am not shy about my personal life. Yes, Tiger and I are close. We are
good friends, obviously. There is nothing special about going for parties or
catching up for a meal with friends. I understand this (gossip) is part of the
profession. Of course, there is a big risk of being slut-shamed in case
relationships don't work. We are actors; we can never be free (speak freely). I
have to think a thousand times before I speak. If I am myself and end up saying
one wrong thing, there will be 1,000 negative tweets about me. There is no rule
that you have to be open about relationships. To each his own,"
quoted Disha.
Not known to several, but Ms. Patani was supposed to make
her debut opposite rumored beau Tiger in Baaghi. But, the role later
went to Shraddha Kapoor. “Honestly, I have been here for three years and things
happen. I am not someone's kid and people aren't supposed to know me. I value
struggle and because of that, what I am getting now is even more precious. In
hindsight, rejection was good," told the MS Dhoni - The Untold Story
actress, before ending conversation.
Another celeb is heading towards separation and it is music
composer Vishal Dadlani. The gifted musician announced divorce from his wife Priyali by
giving out an official statement.
When a famous tabloid asked him about it, Vishal revealed,
"After several years of living separately, Priyali and I are
officially filing for divorce. This is the only statement either of us wishes
to make, as this is a private and personal matter, and we hope it will be
respected as such. Over our time apart, we have become perhaps greater friends
than we have ever been before. Both our families are extremely close, to us and
to each other, and of course, this will remain so. Our private lives have
always been extremely personal to us, so we humbly ask for dignity and privacy
in this regard. Thank you."
This is upsetting one!
The separated couple has been married for few years.
Director Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, a movie that seems so oddly
inspired by the TV series on Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar that it is
impossible to analyze it in isolation.
Recall those movies from the 70s, which often had the hero
playing an anti-establishment gangster with a heart of gold, who finally falls
prey to a righteous cop's bullets? Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees, which releases
this weekend, is more or less the similar plot all once again.
Raees (SRK) grows up in 70s Gujarat believing that crime
does pay and starts working for a bootlegger, who nurtures him. But, Raees and
his associate Sadiq (Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub) grow too big for their boots and
this brings them in conflict with honest cop Jaideep Majmudar (Nawazuddin
Siddiqui), who makes it his life's mission to bring down Khan's illicit empire.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has been essaying romantic characters
since ages, wears spectacles, kohl-rimmed eyes and a pathani to play a tough
gangster and it is indeed refreshing to see that Shah Rukh Khan has lost none
of his boastfulness despite crossing 50. When it comes to fierce intensity, no
one can beat SRK and the King Khan proves this yet again with Raees.
As an actor, SRK brings to Raees his natural screen
presence. But also something that has shades of his early career: the ability
to play the menacing anti-hero, with a simmering, all-consuming anger.
Dholakia couldn’t have found a stronger support cast. The
cop, Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), has the best lines, and is a praiseworthy
screen rival.
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui holds his own despite not having a
substantial role and is humorous and intimidating in equal measures. The fact
that Majmudar wants to destroy Raees despite having a grudging respect for him,
makes his character seem more disturbing. Mahira Khan, who essays SRK's wife
Aasiya doesn't get to do much and neither does Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, who I
believe is one of the best actors we have today.
As for the movie itself, it has a very foreseeable plot, an old
story and stock characters- a gangster with a heart of gold, his helpful
ladylove, a loyal subordinate, an honest cop, wily politicians, an apparently
benevolent mentor et al.
For someone who grew up watching movies like Deewaar and
Scarface, Raees offers nothing new as such. If that was not all, the action
scenes are quite boring and the 'Moharram' action sequence is so poorly
executed that you may end up conjecturing what were the makers thinking of
while filming those scenes.
The makers also make their lead character mouth dialogues
against communalism and 'bhed bhaav' on grounds of 'dharm'. If the trailer of
the movie promised a gritty crime thriller, be prepared to be disappointed for
the film offers nothing much apart from the fiery intensity of the incomparable
Shah Rukh Khan, who carries the entire movie on his capable shoulders.
Overall, Raees is a good film for Shah Rukh Khan’s die-hard
fans to see his stellar performance!
Film Kaabil is a revenge drama with effective screenplay and
star cast’s performances. Getting inspiration from Hollywood’s Blind Fury
(1989) with Rutger Hauer in the lead and even using shades of the Korean super
hit, Broken (2014), director Sanjay Gupta gives you a Bollywood plot that is enjoyable
and effective.
What surely works in Kaabil is the fact that it has a control
over its proceedings from the very first frame till the last. Visibly, Hrithik
Roshan dominates the proceedings completely and is present on screen for more
than 90% of the duration. There is no time wasted in establishing him as a
regular young man next door who overcomes his handicap with his intelligence
and the senses available to him. His love story with Yami Gautam is pleasing
and you indeed root for them as they fall in love and finally get wedded. But,
when tragedy strikes them, courtesy Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy, you heart pains
for them.
Director Sanjay Gupta surely keeps you glued on the screen.
You fall in love with the pair, glare at the screen in horror as the tragedy divulges
and pine for the couple to emerge out of it all. The interval point is fabulous
when Hrithik gives an open challenge to the top cop (played by Narendra Jha). Kudos
to the dialogue writer Sanjay Masoom for establishing this plot point exceptionally,
which manages to catch your attention so very well.
Indisputably the movie has its own creative freedoms being
taken considering its out and out commercial feel. Still, writer Vijay Kumar
Mishra does quite well to keep the credibility quotient intact so that nothing
really looks out of space. This is the reason why the second half turns out to
be truly awesome as the game of elimination has been narrated with greatest
care with high drama incorporated in there. As Hrithik begins to implement his
master-plan, everything begins to fall well in place.
The strong point of the movie as director manages quite well
in helping a viewer connect not just with his lead pair but also the villains
of the movie. You want the good man to win over horrible villains and it is
this very emotional connection in the storytelling that makes you applaud along
when the revenge kick starts.
Rajesh Roshan’s music is a melodious. It amalgamates well
into the movie, whether it is Mon Amour, title song Kaabil Hoon or Haseeno La
Deewana.
Cinematography (Ayananka Bose, Sudeep Chatterjee) is appropriate
as per the mood and situation while the background score (Salim-Suleiman) is brilliant,
mainly in the second half when thrills are added to the drama. Action (Shyam
Kaushal) is kept convincing while editing (Akiv Ali) is apt. VFX is good.
From the performances point of view, Hrithik gives a brilliant
performance which has numerous shades to it. His facial expressions and body
language say it all and there are numerous scenes where he stands out despite
not mouthing a single word. Yami Gautam has a good role and is really there for
the whole first half and then also occasionally in the second half. She is decent
and natural again. Rohit Roy essays his character in a manner that you feel
disgusted with him, which truly solves the purpose. Ronit Roy is awesome as
ever and it is delightful to see him portray different characters. Narendra Jha
delivers another skillful act.
As a filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan has guaranteed that Kaabil
turns out to be a commercial and entertaining movie for the viewers that has
all the right ingredients in place and that too in the right magnitudes.
On the whole, movie Kaabil is praiseworthy to watch once for
a bravura act of Hrithik and entertaining storyline.
TV stars Mouni Roy and Sanjeeda Shaikh are one of the
most loved BFFs duos in TV Industry. The two have been through thick and thin
with each other and are a constant fixture in each other's life.
The beautiful girls were lately spotted letting their hair
down at a club in the city. Joined by Wajah Tum Ho actress Sana Khaan and
friend Sohanna Sinha, Mouni-Sanjeeda posed for a lovely picture from the
evening which the latter shared on her Instagram account.
The females were seen rocking the cold-shoulder trend and
were seen dressed in similar style attires.
While Mouni is presently ruling the hearts in Naagin 2,
Sanjeeda will be seen in a web-series Gehraiyaan.
A day after Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his crew were
assaulted on the sets of his upcoming directorial "Padmavati", the
filmmaker decided to cancel shooting in Jaipur, sources close to him told on
Saturday.
"He has packed up and has said he will never shoot
again in Jaipur," the sources further added.
Sources told that Bhansali has
decided to have sets in Mumbai and carry on shooting there.
As per to reports, the team will be leaving for Mumbai from
here later in the evening.
On Friday activists of a Rajputorganisation, Shree Rajput
Karni Sena, protested, misbehaved and manhandled the crew of
Bhansali's forthcoming movie "Padmavati", police and bystanders told.
They also damaged some cameras and other equipment, forcing
Bhansali to stop shooting.
"We had earlier requested him (Bhansali) to show us the
script which he did not do. We are against distorting of historical facts and
we know that he has distorted historical facts," Vivek Singh of Karni Sena
said.
"Padmavati" tells the story of Alauddin Khilji,
the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with Rajput queen Padmavati.
Actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor star in the movie.
Bhansali was shooting some portions of "Padmavati"
in Jaigarh Fort on Friday when at around 12 p.m. some activists of Karni Sena
gathered there and started to protest.
They even manhandled and misbehaved with Bhansali and his
crew members. There was a complete chaos for some time and Bhansali had to stop
shooting.
Police had a tough time in controlling the situation.
"He (Bhansali) is distorting history and we will not
allow them to do so," Lokendra Singh Kalvi, a senior leader of Karni Sena said
in a press conference here on Saturday.
"This film should not be made. We wrote a number of
times to Bhansali asking him to present history in the right manner. But he did
not listen to us,"Kalvi told.
Karni Sena claimed they have got a big library. "In no
book is it written that Alauddin Khilji fell in love with Padmavati or he was
her lover," he told.
"They are trying to defame Padmavati by distorting
historical facts. It is not acceptable," an activist of Karni Sena told.
Gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha feels that Bollywood actresses are
giving actually tough competition to the actors presently in terms of action.
The actress feels that her contemporaries have already
started doing some serious action.
"I believe we have started doing that. Even in the
industry, girls are doing really good in kicking some major butts. So I hope to
carry on to that direction and continue to rise higher and higher," she told
at the launch of India's First Virtual Reality Hepatic Gaming Experience on
Friday.
Sonakshi thinks that as Hollywood movies are doing good
business in India, Indian films need more good scripts to remain in that
competition.
"We need to start making a lot of good contents that
people would love to watch. We have a huge audience. The way things are going
it shows they are opening up and want to watch new things on the
screen...," she told.
Sonakshi is presently filming Sunhil Sippy's
comedy "Noor" based on Saba Imtiaz's novel Karachi, You're Killing Me!.
The movie also stars Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli.
She has also been roped in for Abhay Chopra's remake of the
1969 murder mystery "Ittefaq" opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
After giving two consecutive hits with Ae Dil Hai
Mushkil and Sultan, Anushka Sharma has unquestionably cemented her
position as one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood. And now
with the recent trend of leading ladies from the tinsel town heading towards
Hollywood, we are of course curious to know about the 28-year-old’s Hollywood
plans.
But, Anushka lately explained that she is in no hurry to
pursue global cinema and explained that she will only sign a particular film if
she would like its concept.
Talking to a famous tabloid she told, "I'm not actively
working towards anything like that, and I feel things just happen. If something
great comes up, I will give it a thought, but I'm not dying for it at the
moment."
“One can start working in any kind of cinema - whether it's
Hollywood or Korean films or even regional cinema. It's about what interests
you and where work takes you to do interesting roles and parts to play, which
will define your ability as an actor. And that's the only reason why I would
sign any film, irrespective of where I am signing,” Anushka further added.
The actress who will be next seen in Phillauri further
repeated, “If something happens in which Indians are being represented in the
way things are (in our country), I wouldn't want to do anything like that. The
concept has to be really amazing, equivalent to an international show, and that
might interest me and would be more suited."
Anushka also opened up on Priyanka and Deepika's success
overseas and told, "It shows the popularity of Indian actors around
the world. Hats off to the girls because it's not easy to just completely shift
and go somewhere else, and start fresh with such zeal. It's something that they
are handling so well and I have a lot of respect for what they are doing."
Actress Yami Gautam tells her newest movie
"Kaabil" has been inspiring and overwhelming for her.
"Kaabil", which also stars Hrithik Roshan, minted
Rs 10.43 crore on January 25 - the first day of its release.
Speechless by the love she has received for the movie, which
presents her as a visually impaired woman who is brutally violated, Yami told
in a statement: "Nothing can be more rewarding and fulfilling than the
love and warmth that people give you after watching your performance. 'Kaabil'
in all aspects has been enriching and overwhelming."
Yami has essayed diverse roles in movies like "Vicky
Donor" and "Badlapur".
While she is basking in the success of "Kaabil",
the actress is all set to star in the forthcoming movie "Sarkar
3".
Alia Bhatt is out and about on Vogue's February cover
where she is raising the temperature in a white slip dress paired with a denim
coat.
The caption to her interview reads as 'The Coolest Girl In
Bollywood' which fits the bill. In an interview with the magazine, Alia spilled
the beans on her favourite sex position, about her BF's phone and
much more!
On being enquired if your boyfriend leaves his phone unlocked;
what's the first thing she would spy on? Alia outsmarted all and told. "I
know the password to my boyfriend's phone." The 23-year-old also disclosed
her favourite sex position - "the classic missionary", as
she is "a simple person".
Ms. Bhatt is rumoured to be in an off-on
relationship with Student Of The Year co-star Sidharth Malhotra. Ask
her to describe her relationship with Sid and she dedicated Bruno Mars' Just
The Way You Are song! She also disclosed that she would like to spy on
Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling if she was blessed with the power of
invisibility for a day, and swap lives with fashion model Gigi Hadid for 24
hours.
