Tere Ishk Mein Review: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon Ignite the Screen in Aanand L. Rai's Emotional Storm!

Tere Ishk Mein Review: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon Ignite the Screen in Aanand L. Rai's Emotional Storm!

Verdict:
An overwhelming, high-voltage romantic drama that demands to be seen for its spectacular lead performances and haunting music.

Tere Ishk Mein, director Aanand L. Rai’s spiritual sequel to his beloved film Raanjhanaa, is not merely a love story; it is a psychological wildfire. Rai plunges back into the complex, often toxic world where love is both a poison and a cure, crafting a narrative that is chaotic, messy, and ultimately unforgettable. While the film may test your patience with its melodramatic leaps, it succeeds entirely on the force of its two leading stars.

Two Sides of Devotion

The film introduces us to Shankar (Dhanush), an abrasive, aggressive young man burdened by a troubled past, whose life is intercepted by Mukti (Kriti Sanon), a bright psychology scholar. Mukti sees Shankar as the ultimate test subject for her PhD thesis, believing she can "cure" his violence with affection. This calculated relationship quickly transforms into an all-consuming love affair.

When Mukti leaves, Shankar's broken heart hardens, transforming him into a vengeful force. The narrative follows his journey into the Air Force and the eventual, convoluted reunion that forces both characters to confront the wreckage of their past, highlighting how class and emotional baggage sabotage even the most intense connections.

Dhanush and Kriti: The Hurricane

The movie is anchored entirely by its two leads, who deliver what are arguably career-defining performances. Dhanush channels the raw vulnerability and destructive rage of Shankar with breathtaking sincerity. He is a phenomenal study in pain, making you lean into his character’s illogical, obsessive pursuit. He is different from his previous characters but retains that deep-seated earnestness that makes his devastation feel visceral.

Kriti Sanon is a revelation as Mukti. Matching Dhanush's intensity, she convincingly portrays a complex character who transitions from an academic observer to a heartbroken, self-destructive individual struggling under the weight of her choices. She owns the screen in the film’s high-stakes emotional sequences. The fiery chemistry between the duo is palpable, providing the necessary heat for the movie’s extreme emotional highs.

Technical Brilliance and Narrative Risks

A. R. Rahman’s score is the film’s heartbeat. The music doesn't just complement the scenes; it dictates the emotional temperature, recalling the dramatic essence of Rai’s best work. Rai’s direction, supported by the writing team of Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, proves that he excels at staging grand, sweeping emotional sequences, particularly those between Shankar and his father (the ever-reliable Prakash Raj).

However, the film sacrifices logical coherence for dramatic intensity. The second half of the movie, especially the portions involving a specific bet and a military angle, feels engineered purely for climax, making the runtime a slight test of endurance.

Final Takeaway

Tere Ishk Mein is not a clean, safe, or easily digestible film. It is a cinematic experience that provokes thought, triggers debate, and forces viewers to grapple with the darkest shades of affection. You won’t watch it and walk away feeling neutral. It is uneven, occasionally manipulative, but powered by two lead actors performing at their peak, creating a bold, intense, and emotionally draining portrait of modern, obsessive love. If you enjoyed the emotional risk of films like Raanjhanaa, this turbulent ride is highly recommended.

Jolly LLB 3 Twitter Review: A Case of Comedy, Chaos, and Courtroom Drama!

Jolly LLB 3 Twitter Review: A Case of Comedy, Chaos, and Courtroom Drama!

The verdict is in, and it’s a big win! The highly anticipated courtroom comedy-drama Jolly LLB 3, starring two of Bollywood's most beloved actors, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has hit theaters and is already creating a buzz on social media. With the two "Jollys" — Jolly Mishra (Akshay Kumar) and Jolly Tyagi (Arshad Warsi) — sharing the screen for the first time, fans were excited for a double dose of entertainment. And judging by the initial Twitter reviews, the film has delivered on its promise.

Director Subhash Kapoor, who helmed the previous two successful installments, brings back the winning formula of sharp wit, social commentary, and a healthy dose of drama. The film's plot, which revolves around a legal battle over a land dispute involving a farmer, has resonated deeply with audiences.

Here's a look at what the audience is saying on Twitter, with 11 must-read tweets that will convince you to book your tickets.

1. The Two Jollys Are a Hoot!

One of the biggest talking points is the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. Twitter users are praising their comic timing and seamless on-screen camaraderie. A user named @BollyFreak wrote, "Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi together are pure gold! Their Jolly vs. Jolly clash is a laugh riot. The first half is packed with hilarious courtroom antics. #JollyLLB3."

2. Saurabh Shukla Steals the Show

While the two leads are fantastic, the true star of the film, according to many, is Saurabh Shukla, who reprises his role as the cranky yet endearing Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi. "Saurabh Shukla is the soul of #JollyLLB3. His expressions, witty one-liners, and that perfect balance of authority and humor make him the absolute highlight. He is a masterclass in acting!" tweeted @CinemaLover.

3. A Powerful Social Message

Beyond the laughter, Jolly LLB 3 also tackles a serious and relevant issue: the exploitation of farmers. A tweet from @FilmFanatic noted, "This movie is more than just a comedy. It’s a powerful film with a meaningful social message about farmers' rights. The climax where #AkshayKumar delivers his final speech will give you goosebumps. #JollyLLB3Review."

His impeccable comic timing and emotional intensity make you root for him wholeheartedly. This is his best performance of 2025 so far. #JollyLLB3."

8. Gajraj Rao as the Antagonist

The cast's supporting performances are also garnering praise, with special mentions for Gajraj Rao as the villain. "Gajraj Rao is excellent in his negative shades. You will genuinely hate him, and that's where he excels," wrote @BollywoodBuzz.

9. The Climax is a "Paisa Vasool" Experience

The film’s climax is being hailed as the standout sequence. "The courtroom climax, in particular, is the high point of the film. It deserves a standing ovation. Total paisa vasool! #JollyLLB3," tweeted @BoxOfficeKing.

10. A Balanced and Entertaining Film

Viewers are appreciating how the film balances humor and a serious subject without becoming preachy. A user named @SimplyBollywood wrote, "Pure class cinema! Engaging screenplay, powerful writing, and flawless performances. The comedy hits just right, keeping the tone balanced. #JollyLLB3 is a well-rounded and engaging watch."

11. A Quality Sequel

In a year with several disappointing sequels, Jolly LLB 3 is being hailed as a breath of fresh air. "First OMG2, then Kesari Chapter 2 and now #JollyLLB3, Akshay Kumar has delivered a third quality sequel within two years. Content king for a reason!" a fan tweeted, celebrating the actor’s recent filmography.

With such overwhelming positive reactions, Jolly LLB 3 seems to have won over both the critics and the audience. The combination of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, along with the brilliant direction of Subhash Kapoor and a strong supporting cast, has made this film a must-watch cinematic experience.

Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh Steal the Show: Our Raid 2 Review!

Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh Steal the Show: Our Raid 2 Review!

Raid 2, the follow-up to the popular 2018 movie Raid, stars Ajay Devgn as the uncorruptible IRS inspector Amay Patnaik. The film, which was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and came out on May 1, 2025, follows Patnaik as he takes on another case of white-collar crime, this time against Dada Manohar Bhai, a well-known and influential politician who is portrayed by Riteish Deshmukh. Even while the sequel aims to expand on the original's idea, its predictable plot and erratic pacing only make it half-interesting.

The Storyline Takes a Known Route:

Raid 2 is set seven years after the events of Raid and centers on Amay Patnaik's 75th raid, this time in Bhoj, Rajasthan, where he targets Dada Manohar Bhai, who is thought to be untouchable. Even though Dada Bhai has a solid reputation and a lot of power, Patnaik believes he has illicit assets. Patnaik is suspended after the first raid fails to provide any results. After that, the movie chronicles Patnaik's unwavering attempts, despite obstacles, to find the truth and hold Dada Bhai accountable.

Performances: Shine by Riteish Deshmukh and Intensity by Ajay Devgn:

Once more, Ajay Devgn portrays the steadfast Amay Patnaik in a nuanced yet powerful performance. He does a good job of embodying the character's honesty and resolve. He doesn't get much new character development in the movie, either.

Riteish Deshmukh, who plays the antagonist Dada Manohar Bhai, gives the most impressive performance. His portrayal of a seemingly modest yet powerful and unscrupulous politician is intriguing, and he excels in a role that lets him explore a darker side.

Ileana D'Cruz plays Amay Patnaik's wife, Malini, but Vaani Kapoor takes her place. Although she and Ajay Devgn have a strong on-screen chemistry, her part doesn't significantly deepen the primary plot.

Technical Aspects and Direction:

The first film's genuine and gritty tone is something that director Raj Kumar Gupta tries to preserve. But in the first half, the screenplay seems strained and cliched. With more exciting aspects and an improved background score by Amit Trivedi, the second half gains up speed. Although Sudhir K. Chaudhary's cinematography is respectable, the editing could have been more precise to keep the movie moving at a steady tempo.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

- Riteish Deshmukh's Performance: One of the film's highlights is his portrayal of the adversary.
- Interesting Second Half: There are more surprises and intrigue in the second half of the movie.
- Ajay Devgn's Relentless Performance: He does a good job as the resolute lead.
- Connected Plot: The plot of the sequel seems like a logical progression for viewers who have already seen Raid.

Cons:

- Predictable Plot: Particularly in the first half, the plot feels recognizable and has few noteworthy turns.
- Slow Paced First Half: The first half of the movie puts viewers to the test.
- Superfluous Songs: The crime thriller's pace is broken by the insertion of several songs.
- Weak Climax: The conclusion may not have the impact that was anticipated.
- Lack of Depth: Both the first half's narration and the characters' general growth should have been improved.

Raid 2 is a decent criminal thriller, mostly because to Ajay Devgn's performances and Riteish Deshmukh's standout performance. The first half's slowness and predictable plot are major flaws, but the second half's exciting features successfully hold the audience's attention. Although genre fans may find it entertaining, it falls short of its predecessor.

Pushpa: The Rule
, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit Pushpa: The Rise, is a cinematic extravaganza that lives up to the hype. The film, directed by Sukumar, continues the story of Pushpa Raj, a fearless smuggler played by the charismatic Allu Arjun.

A Visual Spectacle

The film boasts stunning visuals, breathtaking action sequences, and a captivating storyline. The cinematography is top-notch, capturing the beauty of the forests and the intensity of the action. The music, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, elevates the film's emotional impact and adds to its overall appeal.

Allu Arjun's Power-Packed Performance

Allu Arjun delivers a stellar performance as Pushpa Raj. His intense portrayal of the character, coupled with his impeccable acting skills, makes him the heart of the film. His screen presence is magnetic, and his dialogue delivery is spot-on.

A Strong Supporting Cast

The supporting cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Sunil Shetty, deliver solid performances. Fahadh Faasil, in particular, shines as the antagonist, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. His intense portrayal adds depth to the film's narrative.

A Few Minor Flaws

While the film is largely successful, there are a few minor flaws. The runtime could have been slightly shorter, and the pacing could have been improved in certain parts. However, these are minor quibbles that don't detract from the overall experience.

What Works:

  • Allu Arjun's Powerhouse Performance: Allu Arjun once again steals the show with his intense portrayal of Pushpa Raj. His fiery energy, impeccable dialogue delivery, and captivating screen presence elevate the film to new heights.
  • Visual Spectacle: The film boasts stunning visuals, breathtaking action sequences, and a grand scale that immerses the audience in the world of Pushpa Raj.
  • Music and Background Score: The music, especially the iconic "Pushpa Raj" anthem, adds to the film's intensity and creates a memorable cinematic experience.

What Doesn't Work:

  • Overreliance on Mass Appeal: While the film caters to the masses with its high-octane action and larger-than-life characters, it sometimes sacrifices depth and nuance for pure entertainment.
  • Predictable Plot: The plot, while entertaining, follows a predictable path, lacking the surprise elements that made the first film so captivating.

Overall, Pushpa: The Rule is a must-watch for fans of Telugu cinema and action-packed thrillers. It's a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat with its high-octane action sequences, stunning visuals, and powerful performances.

Pushpa: The Rule is a worthy sequel that delivers on the promise of its predecessor. While it may not surpass the original in terms of originality, it offers a thrilling cinematic experience with its powerful performances, stunning visuals, and captivating music.

Film Singham Again Review: A Rohit Shetty Extravaganza with larger-than-life characters!

Film Singham Again Review: A Rohit Shetty Extravaganza with larger-than-life characters!

Rohit Shetty's SinghamAgain is a high-octane action thriller that delivers on its promise of explosive action and larger-than-life characters.
Ajay Devgn reprises his iconic role as the fearless police officer Bajirao Singham, and he delivers a powerhouse performance.

The film's action sequences are spectacular, with jaw-dropping stunts and breathtaking visuals. Shetty's signature style of over-the-top action is on full display, and it's sure to entertain the masses. The film's humor, while often slapstick, is effective in lightening the mood. The chemistry between Devgn and his co-stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar, is palpable.

However, the film's plot is rather simplistic, relying on familiar tropes of good versus evil. The screenplay, while entertaining, lacks depth and substance. The characters are one-dimensional, and the dialogues are often cheesy. Despite these shortcomings, the film's sheer energy and the charismatic performances of the cast keep the audience engaged.

Despite its flaws, Singham Again is a fun and thrilling ride. It's a perfect film for those who enjoy mindless entertainment and don't mind the occasional plot hole. It's a celebration of larger-than-life heroes and action-packed sequences, and it's sure to leave you entertained.

Film Stree 2 Review : A Sequel That's More Noise Than Fright!

Film Stree 2 Review : A Sequel That's More Noise Than Fright!

Stree 2
arrives with the promise of amplifying the quirky horror-comedy magic of its predecessor. While it delivers on laughs and scares in parts, the film ultimately gets lost in the cacophony of its own making.

What Works

  • Comedy Gold: The film continues the franchise's tradition of rib-tickling humor. Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee are in their element, delivering laugh-out-loud moments with impeccable timing.
  • Visuals and Sound Design: The film's production design is commendable, creating a spooky atmosphere that complements the horror elements. The sound design is equally impressive, enhancing the jump scares and overall suspense.

What Doesn't Work

  • Over-the-Top Chaos: While the first installment struck a balance between humor and horror, Stree 2 leans heavily towards chaotic comedy, often at the expense of the suspenseful elements.
  • Thin Plot: The plot feels stretched and convoluted, with several subplots that don't quite come together.
  • Underutilized Shraddha Kapoor: Despite being the titular character, Shraddha Kapoor's role remains underdeveloped, leaving her character somewhat one-dimensional.

The Verdict

Stree 2 is a film that promises a lot but delivers an inconsistent experience. While it has its moments of brilliance, the overall impact is diluted by excessive noise and a lack of focus. Fans of the franchise might find some enjoyment, but for those seeking a well-rounded horror-comedy, this sequel might fall short of expectations.

Mr & Mrs Mahi Review: A Promising Innings That Falls Short!

Mr & Mrs Mahi: A Promising Innings That Falls Short!

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mr & Mrs Mahi
had all the ingredients for a delightful cinematic experience. A story about a couple chasing their cricket dreams, heartwarming romance, and the struggles of aspiring athletes - it promised a lot. Let's delve into whether the film delivers on its potential.

The Good:

  • The Lead Pair: Rao and Kapoor share a comfortable chemistry, carrying the film with their earnest performances. Rao excels at portraying Mahendra's frustrations and determination, while Kapoor brings a spark to Mahima's hidden passion for the game.
  • A Refreshing Take (Almost): The film initially breaks away from the usual sports movie tropes. It explores the journey of two regular people, not just cricketing prodigies.

The Not-So-Good:

  • Uneven Script: The narrative falters midway. The film's attempt to please everyone results in a tonal inconsistency. It struggles to balance the lighthearted romance with the seriousness of pursuing athletic dreams.
  • Missed Opportunities: The movie introduces interesting themes like societal expectations and gender roles in sports, but fails to explore them fully. Mahima's journey as a female cricketer deserved more depth.
  • Predictable Climax: The ending feels rushed and lacks the emotional punch one expects from a film about chasing dreams.

Overall:

Mr and Mrs Mahi is a watchable film thanks to the performances of its lead actors. However, a weak script and a predictable plot keep it from being truly memorable. It's a decent one-time watch for fans of Rao and Kapoor, but for those seeking a hard-hitting sports drama or a fresh take on gender roles in athletics, this one might leave you wanting more.

Raazi Review: Alia Bhatt’s impeccable act and distinctive plot as a spy thriller!

After well-known films like Filhaal, Just Married and Talvar, Meghna Gulzar’s next Raazi is a distinctive spy thriller and it deserves a place in a list of big innovative spy thrillers. It’s an espionage thriller packed with chilling twists and turns which masterfully narrates the fate of warring India and Pakistan and how a seemingly pliant Kashmiri college girl becomes one of the crucial reasons of a dramatic Indian victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Harinder Sikka, the writer of the book Calling Sehmat on which Raazi is based, had written the story of a brave heart who went to great lengths for her country. His point was simple - Kashmiri Muslims be shown in the right light, for what they are, in most cases true Indians.

Set in 1971, film Raazi revolves around Delhi University student Sehmat Khan (Alia Bhatt), whose father (Rajit Kapoor), a veteran spy marries her off to Pakistani army officer Iqbal (Vicky Kaushal) on discovering that his days are numbered due to a lung tumour and that the Pakistani armed forces have some notorious plans for India. Sehmat, a soft-spoken and gentle girl, is trained by spymaster Mir (Jaideep Ahlawat) and wedded to Iqbal. Soon after the wedding, she embarks on her mission of spying for India and the difficulties and challenges she faces on this mission, forms the rest of the plot.

Alia Bhatt has proved her mettle again with her best performance as Sehmat. As Sehmat, Alia easily shifts between gentleness and deviousness. This is Alia’s one of the best performances. Vicky Kaushal’s dignified and gallant act as Pakistani Army officer Iqbal is noticeable. Jaideep Ahlawat also captivates in his spymaster act.  Veteran Soni Razdan is OK in her brief role.

Film Raazi’s plot is crisp and taut and edgy, it is not a fast-paced potboiler with car chases or gun battles or slick action sequences. But, Meghna succeeds to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats and that is precisely where Raazi proves to be a winner. Meghna also earns praise for keeping the plot restrained and dignified. Writer Bhavani Iyer and director Meghna Gulzar take the source material and weave magic. Raazi is praiseworthy for its novelty and creative quotients.

Overall, film Raazi is praiseworthy to watch once for Alia Bhatt’s impeccable act and distinctive plot as a spy thriller.

Sachin-A Billion Dreams is a praiseworthy film to watch once for Sachin’s fan and sports lovers!

Film Sachin A Billion Dreams offers a heavy dose of the magnificent ’90s, an era in which the BCCI became the superpower of world cricket.

When the hero has been the collective voice and integrity of India’s cricketing history, then he’s a tough subject to make a movie on. Obviously, James Erskine puts Sachin on a pedestal and tells the story with an unnatural amount of respect.

It’s a treat to get a look into Sachin’s childhood. And it’s also a fan-shriek moment to see footage of him in his personal space, looped to Dire Straits and Bappi Lahiri with his wife Anjali, his children—Arjun and Sara, his family and friends. The fact that Sachin is the sutradhar (narrator) who walks the viewer through his victories and injuries is an additional bonus.

In India, where cricket is a religion and Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is God, this movie aims to offer a sneak peek in the life of the ‘Little Master’ and seeks to show the man behind the legend.

The movie starts off with Sachin’s childhood and we get to know what a curly-haired little devil Tendulkar was as a kid. The story is peppered with anecdotes of his mischievousness as told by Sachin’s family members. The first half of the movie is nothing less than a ‘coming of age’ story as we follow Sachin’s life and learn how he transformed from a infamous mischief-monger to a dedicated sportsman with the help of his brother Ajit Tendulkar and his coach Ramakant Achrekar. The movie also sheds light on how he met his wife Anjali and how they ended up getting married and some of the anecdotes are bound to make you laugh. Through Anjali, we also get to know how Sachin is as a husband and a father and how his performance on the pitch tends to affect his personal life too. Sachin also takes us on a guided tour of the Indian cricket team and we get to know how the team functions within the limits of a dressing room, the friendship between the players and the effect a win or loss has on the entire team.

The movie has been shot fairly well and the background music by A.R. Rahman, is one of the highlights of the movie as it elevates the narrative to another level altogether. Every time the ‘Sachin... Sachin’ chant echoes through the cinema-hall, you feel goosebumps on your skin-such is the impact of the docu-drama.

James Erskine deserves praise for his stiff direction and for making the movie engaging enough to arrest the attention of every spectator in the cinema-hall. The movie is not just about Sachin, but about Indian cricket as a whole, with emphasis on the other members of the team and on the people behind Sachin, who made him what he is today.

Erskine’s movie also has included some of Sachin’s memorable matches and his tryst with captaincy and the reason behind his reluctance to wear the captain’s cap, which should shed some light on why Tendulkar never wanted the post. We also get hints of the dark world of match-fixing and how it affected the entire team. But what generally works for the movie is that it is not just about Sachin, the cricketer, but also Sachin as a person, as a father, as a husband and as a friend.

The biography’s narrative continues with commentators, critics and colleagues Dhoni, Kohli, Ganguly, Sehwag and Harbhajan are (sigh!) only praising the Little Master.

Overall, Sachin-A Billion Dreams is a praiseworthy film to watch once for Sachin’s fan and sports lovers.

Film Kaabil is worthy to watch once for a bravura act of Hrithik and entertaining storyline.

Film Kaabil is a revenge drama with effective screenplay and star cast’s performances. Getting inspiration from Hollywood’s Blind Fury (1989) with Rutger Hauer in the lead and even using shades of the Korean super hit, Broken (2014), director Sanjay Gupta gives you a Bollywood plot that is enjoyable and effective.

What surely works in Kaabil is the fact that it has a control over its proceedings from the very first frame till the last. Visibly, Hrithik Roshan dominates the proceedings completely and is present on screen for more than 90% of the duration. There is no time wasted in establishing him as a regular young man next door who overcomes his handicap with his intelligence and the senses available to him. His love story with Yami Gautam is pleasing and you indeed root for them as they fall in love and finally get wedded. But, when tragedy strikes them, courtesy Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy, you heart pains for them.

Director Sanjay Gupta surely keeps you glued on the screen. You fall in love with the pair, glare at the screen in horror as the tragedy divulges and pine for the couple to emerge out of it all. The interval point is fabulous when Hrithik gives an open challenge to the top cop (played by Narendra Jha). Kudos to the dialogue writer Sanjay Masoom for establishing this plot point exceptionally, which manages to catch your attention so very well.

Indisputably the movie has its own creative freedoms being taken considering its out and out commercial feel. Still, writer Vijay Kumar Mishra does quite well to keep the credibility quotient intact so that nothing really looks out of space. This is the reason why the second half turns out to be truly awesome as the game of elimination has been narrated with greatest care with high drama incorporated in there. As Hrithik begins to implement his master-plan, everything begins to fall well in place.

The strong point of the movie as director manages quite well in helping a viewer connect not just with his lead pair but also the villains of the movie. You want the good man to win over horrible villains and it is this very emotional connection in the storytelling that makes you applaud along when the revenge kick starts.

Rajesh Roshan’s music is a melodious. It amalgamates well into the movie, whether it is Mon Amour, title song Kaabil Hoon or Haseeno La Deewana.

Cinematography (Ayananka Bose, Sudeep Chatterjee) is appropriate as per the mood and situation while the background score (Salim-Suleiman) is brilliant, mainly in the second half when thrills are added to the drama. Action (Shyam Kaushal) is kept convincing while editing (Akiv Ali) is apt. VFX is good.

From the performances point of view, Hrithik gives a brilliant performance which has numerous shades to it. His facial expressions and body language say it all and there are numerous scenes where he stands out despite not mouthing a single word. Yami Gautam has a good role and is really there for the whole first half and then also occasionally in the second half. She is decent and natural again. Rohit Roy essays his character in a manner that you feel disgusted with him, which truly solves the purpose. Ronit Roy is awesome as ever and it is delightful to see him portray different characters. Narendra Jha delivers another skillful act.

As a filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan has guaranteed that Kaabil turns out to be a commercial and entertaining movie for the viewers that has all the right ingredients in place and that too in the right magnitudes.

On the whole, movie Kaabil is praiseworthy to watch once for a bravura act of Hrithik and entertaining storyline.

Ek Paheli Leela is the surprise for the modern age moviegoers. Less expectations are always well for a movie and in case of this movie, you end up getting such a lovely surprise that you can't help but credit the makers for coming up with a complete entertainer. In the end, you get a huge twist in the story which is not just truly shocking but also put and out original.

A re-embodiment affair, what engrosses you really well is the fact that it doesn't follow the clichéd path that movies belonging to this genre generally follow. In fact there are two stories running in parallel, one with Sunny Leone and another with Jay Bhanushali, with both running flawlessly. If Sunny plays a huge European supermodel of Indian origin, Jay is a musician based out of Mumbai. Both have difficulties of their own. Sunny is claustrophobic while Jay gets haunting dreams. Even as the two battle it out, they meet at a common place, Jaisalmer, where their past from 300 years ago catches up with them.

Now with a tale like this, director Bobby Khan could well have found himself trapped in following a usual story. But this is where he gets truly creative. Instead of walking the normal path, he brings in new characters, situations and twists in the story that end up making this rebirth drama quite original in its stage, setting and treatment.

With Sunny Leone in the lead, he could well have been tempted to play just on her image. But, he does a lot more. First and foremost, he creates a new image for her - that of a true Hindi movie heroine. If Jism 2 had shown her as a temptress, Jackpot had wasted her and Ragini MMS 2 had played on her porn star image, Ek Paheli Leela re-introduces her as a leading lady who can show different facets of her acting skills. In a double role, she amusingly surprises by not just flaunting her body beautiful but also showing the vulnerable, fiery and romantic side of her. She is a big surprise.

Bobby brings in as many as five men and each one of them has his characterization charted out very well. So while Jay is present right through the course of the movie and delivers a good act, Mohit Ahlawat surprises big time in a role that requires him to play a mature and level headed Rajput. He is composed and in control with a very good screen performance, somewhat that he had demonstrated well in his debut movie James as well. Rajniesh Duggall underplays his part well as an artist from centuries ago and is enjoyable on eyes, as before. His part is comparatively short but is very relevant to the tale. It is fun to see Jas Arora coming back on the big screen. He brightens the screen every time he comes and imitates Gulshan Grover pretty well. He would surely be seen more often now.

What is seen quite often on screen are songs and dances, which are around 8-10 in number and are perfectly placed in the movie. When sometimes even 3-4 songs seem too much in certain movies, there are no such complaints during Ek Paheli Leela due to their picturization and relevance.

Though interval point of the movie is not as charged up and intriguing as one would have predictable, it is the second half and then the last 30 minutes that completely catch you by shock. This is really one of the most creative climaxes written.

On the whole, it is good intended film, watch once for experiencing innovative reincarnation story.
