Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are two of the most popular and well-known couples in Bollywood. Almost three years after getting married, the couple made the announcement that they were expecting their first child at the trailer premiere for their movie, Article 370, in February of this year.

A few months ago, the couple surprised their fans by sharing the most joyful news of their lives. In a heartfelt statement, Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam revealed the birth of a boy.

A while back on May 20, actress Yami Gautam and director Aditya Dhar jointly announced the arrival of their "beloved son," Vedavid, on May 10 on their Instagram accounts. The two shared a sweet photo of Lord Vishnu cuddling a baby and staring into one other's eyes.

The note on the lovely pic read, “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beloved son, Vedavid, who graced us with his birth on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritya. Please shower him with all your kind blessings and love. Warm Regards, Yami & Aditya.”

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar exchanged vows at a tiny Himachal Pradesh wedding on June 4, 2021. The two have worked together on two projects: the war-action drama Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) and the action-thriller Article 370 (2024).

Yami Gautam clears air on North vs South cinema debate!

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam made her debut role in the 2012 movie, Vicky Donor after which, she has given remarkable performances with Bala, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Badlapur, Kaabil, Ginny Weds Sunny and much more. The actress was last seen in Dasvi and A Thursday and received an extraordinary response. Recently, Yami has posted her thoughts on the North vs South cinema debate and said that she does not see a divide.

In a media chat, the actress revealed that as an actor and creative person, she can never think like that as the first film of her career was a Kannada film and her second film was a Telugu film, after which Vicky Donor happened. "I never took it like that. The only difference, for me, I would say, was language and nothing else. We are all a part of the Indian cinema. Yes, these are difficult times for Hindi cinema. And as I said, that's why this change is really important to give the audience something new. New and better stories, some better visuals - something will have to change from the structure that we have been seeing for the last couple of years. We have to respect the audience and evolve," Yami revealed.

On the film front, Yami will feature next in OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2 and Dhoom Dham.

Aditya Dhar’s peculiar reaction to wifey Yami Gautam’s Dasvi trailer!

Well-known Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam are making headlines due to their forthcoming film Dasvi. The makers had released the trailer of the film on Wednesday. Actually, the fans are in awe of Abhishek Bachchan’s Deshi swag and Yami Gautam’s no-nonsense character in the film. But, among all the admirations, Aditya Dhar’s quirky response to the Dasvi trailer has been winning hearts.

On his Instagram story, Aditya posted the trailer of Dasvi and took a witty jibe at Yami’s role as a strict police officer who was seen schooling Abhishek Bachchan in the film. He posted, “And I thought I was the only one getting schooled by you!!” along with a smiling face emoticon and a heart emoticon. The Nation Award winning filmmaker then also hailed the trailer of Dasvi and wrote, “Super fun!”.

Recently, actress Yami Gautam has shared pics of her first visit post marriage to Golden Temple, Amritsar with hubby and director Aditya Dhar on social media.

On her Instagram handle, the Kaabil star dropped the pics from her first trip to Golden temple after marriage with Aditya. In the first pic, the two could be seen smiling at each other while Golden Temple could be seen in the backdrop. In the second photo, both Aditya and Yami could be seen posing for a special picture while standing at a distance from each other. Yami shared the photos with emoticons in her caption and in no time, they took over the internet.

The Badlapur actress is seen clad in a pink suit with a veil over her head. One can notice her red chooda in the photos and the bindi on her forehead. On the other side, Aditya is seen in a white kurta-pyjama with black bandhgala jacket.

 

'Scripts need to speak to me', says Yami Gautam on choosing a project!

The newly-wed actress Yami Gautam has a lot of movies lined up such as 'Bhoot Police', 'Lost', 'Dasvi' and 'A Thursday'. The Vicky Donor star reveals she never wants to let go of the importance of judging a project based on its writing and that she always makes sure to remain true to herself while choosing a project.

Revealing about her process before choosing a project, Yami disclosed, "While reading a script, I always make sure to perceive it as a reader as well. If it can keep the audience inside me engaged, I know it will work on the screen."

She further revealed, "As an actor, I never want to let go of the importance of judging a project basis its writing because you are as good as your script. I always make sure to remain true to myself while choosing a project."

The Badlapur star tells the "script needs to speak" to her. "Following the first instinct, you get after reading a script always works," revealed the actress.

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam and Uri director Aditya Dhar got married last week in the hills. The duo took to their respective social media handles to pronounce their marriage.

Recently, Yami took to Instagram to share a series of cheerful pics from her Haldi ceremony. On Saturday, Yami had shared a few glimpses from her Mehendi ceremony. Glowing with joy, Yami's lovely pics truly highlight how simple and understated yet beautiful her intimate wedding was.

In one pic, the Kaabil star can be seen wearing a yellow outfit with a red dupatta and handmade jewellery. While in another, the actress dons an all-red traditional saree and exhibits her gold kaleeras. Yami shared all the photographs with a yellow heart.

Yami Gautam’s police avatar from the first day of Dasvi sets!

As we all know that pretty actress Yami Gautam has presently several big-budget projects. She is gearing up for the release of Pavan Kirpalani’s multi starrer movie Bhoot Police that also stars Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The gorgeous star has also bagged Aditya Dhar’s next production with Pratik Gandhi. In addition this, Yami also has Dasvi in her kitty.

Recently, Yami took to her Instagram handle and posted a glimpse of her character from the first day on the sets. In her caption, she also stated that she feels proud and honoured to play an IPS officer. Sharing her pic, the Kaabil star posted, “My first day on the set of #Dasvi playing #JyotiDeswal. Proud & honoured to play an IPS officer. #JaiHind.”  The Vicky Donor star can be seen clad in IPS officer uniform as she is seen looking straight into the camera for the picture-perfect.

Directed by debutant director Tushar Jalota, Dasvi highlights the importance of education in today's society. The movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

Yami Gautam has two simultaneous hit in 2019 with "Uri: The Surgical Strike" and "Bala", told, "It feels incredible that the hard work that I have put it has paid off."

"I think the best lesson learnt for any actor is that patience is a true virtue and it will always pay off with persistence and I'm glad that two diverse filmmakers saw and were keen to cast me in roles that others haven't seen me fit in before," Yami added further.

How does it feel to be ending the year on this lovely note? Yami, who turned 28 on Thursday, told, " I couldn't have asked for a better year and what a perfect birthday to have to rejuvenate and relax from all the chaos of promotions and shoot, which have all been worth it. I'm grateful to this year having begun with 'Uri...' and ending it with 'Bala', both the films so vastly different but have received so much love from all across. The amazing love and messages from my admirers is the best birthday gift I could have asked for."

Haroon steps into his father’s filmmaker Aziz Mirza shoes!

This time it’s Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon who’s stepping into his father’s filmmaker shoes with a light-hearted romantic comedy. The project will be based on one of the last scripts that Neeraj Vora penned before he died in 2017, and Haroon has signed Yami Gautam and Diljit Dosanjh to spearhead the cast. FYI, Haroon was actually going to debut as an actor opposite Priyanka Chopra in 2001 before the film got shelved. Fingers crossed direction is his true calling!

Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam to romance again in Bala!

After the tremendous success of film Vicky Donor, Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam will next be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s Bala. As per news, besides Bhumi, Yami will also star in the movie. Bala will be directed by Amar Kaushik, who directed one of last year’s biggest hits, i.e. the horror-comedy Stree.

Now, Yami and Ayushmann are coming together. Ayushmann and Yami will leave no stone unturned to recreate their chemistry yet again in Bala. Speaking about Bala, the movie revolves around a guy who is balding prematurely and Yami will play Ayushmann’s love interest in the movie.

Dinesh Vijan confirmed about the same and revealed, “Yami has never played a role like this and that’s why she’s the perfect choice! This is our second association after Badlapur and I’m happy she’s part of the team again. Without revealing too much, let me just say that our Lucknow ki supermodel, is going to break some hearts and you’re not going to mind!”

Yami Gautam gets Hindi literature help for Batti Gul Meter Chalu!

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam, who will essay a lawyer in Shree Narayan Singh's "Batti Gul Meter Chalu", tells she is taking the help of Hindi literature to prepare for her character in the movie.

"There aren't many references on screen for my character, but honestly that makes the prep even more exciting. I am working on my dialect and my language, and what better source than Hindi literature. I am also looking forward to my prep with Shree and the cast as the best comes out when the entire team collaborates," Yami told in a statement.

She is meeting lawyers from rural areas to know her character better. The idea is to understand nuances of being a lawyer, the language, the body language and other such things.

Film Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a social comedy-drama, also starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.

Yami Gautam opens up about fairness creams' ads controversy!

Abhay Deol's post on fairness creams' ads became a topic of discussion in Bollywood. Numerous celebs expressed their opinion about it, whereas a few stayed mum.

Yami Gautam is one of the few actors who has been endorsing a fairness cream product since various years. When a famous tabloid asked her opinion on the issue, she revealed, "It’s unfair to put someone in the spotlight for something negative and overlook the positive things that they have done. As for the issue of fairness cream ads, I have had meetings with the brand and they have decided to revise the concept of their ads. Now, they won’t show being less fair as something uncool."

She also told, "When we talk about individuality and choice, it’s my life, my decisions… why question my credibility? I am a self-made girl. I will not run my career on somebody else’s decision or ideology. I have my own mind."

Yami went on to say, "The brand has the right to advertise a product but you cannot show that not being fair is an upsetting thing. You can advertise your brand, but showing not being fair is something to be upset and sad about is not correct."

She further specified, "I am actually going to take this debate about fairness creams in a positive way since now it will push the brands to think about new ways in which the ads can be made."

'Kaabil' in all aspects has been enriching and overwhelming, says Yami Gautam!

Actress Yami Gautam tells her newest movie "Kaabil" has been inspiring and overwhelming for her.

"Kaabil", which also stars Hrithik Roshan, minted Rs 10.43 crore on January 25 - the first day of its release.

Speechless by the love she has received for the movie, which presents her as a visually impaired woman who is brutally violated, Yami told in a statement: "Nothing can be more rewarding and fulfilling than the love and warmth that people give you after watching your performance. 'Kaabil' in all aspects has been enriching and overwhelming."

Yami has essayed diverse roles in movies like "Vicky Donor" and "Badlapur".

While she is basking in the success of "Kaabil", the actress is all set to star in the forthcoming movie "Sarkar 3". 

Hrithik Roshan’s revenge hints in second trailer of 'Kaabil’!

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan will be next seen essaying a visually impaired man in Sanjay Gupta’s vengeance drama Kaabil and the second trailer of the movie was uncovered today.

The second trailer offers additional facts about the lives of Rohan Bhatnagar (Hrithik), a dubbing artiste and his ladylove Su (played by Yami Gautam) and how Rohan plans his revenge when his whole world comes crashing down following a crime and the law proves to be useless.

Hrithik is remarkable with his strength, though he looks too boyish with his clean-shaven looks. However, we are keenly waiting for this movie as Sanjay Gupta has veered away from his usual filmmaking style for this project and we are curious to see how Gupta has treated this tale.

Apart from Hrithik and Yami, Kaabil also stars brothers Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy, who essay the antagonists.

Kaabil is scheduled to release on January 25.

Karan Johar rejects the Hrithik’s plea to appear with Yami on KWK!

We have had a great time with Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan this season, watching our celebs at their wittiest best. Many more celebs are lined up to sip their Koffee on Karan's couch. One among them is the hot and attractive Hrithik Roshan.

A source reveals us that Hrithik wished to appear on the show with his Kaabil co-star Yami Gautam. Seemingly, as Aamir came with his Dangal daughters and Kareena shot with her Veere Di Wedding co-star Sonam Kapoor, Hrithik felt it only fair to being Yami with him.

But, the source mentions that this suggestion was not accepted by the KWK team as Yami did not 'qualify' as being popular enough for the show.

Yami Gautam’s only 30 minutes’ role for Hrithik starrer Kaabil?

Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam have wrapped up the shoot for their forthcoming movie Kaabil much before the schedule. The teaser of the movie was unveiled and it has created huge amount of interest among the admirers. The teaser saw no faces, just Hrithik Roshan delivering the dialogues. 

But, as per close source, Yami who essay the lead opposite Hrithik in the thriller will have a very short role. A source told, "Yami has a relatively smaller role in the movie. She would be there mostly in the first half. She essays Hrithik's love interest and wife in the movie. It's her murder which brings about a twist in the movie. How Hrithik takes vengeance her death is what the second half of the movie is about. So Yami has only about 30 minutes of screen time in the movie, a little more than what she had in Badlapur."

Unintentionally, in Badlapur Yami essayed Varun Dhawan's wife who gets killed and how he later takes revenge on her killer. In Kaabil, Hrithik loses his vision in the accident and its story of a blind man avenging his wife's murder.

Kaabil will release on January 26, 2016.

It's a wrap up time for Hrithik-Yami starrer 'Kaabil' in just 77 days!

The shooting of the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil has been finished in just 77 days, 11 days ahead of schedule. This is a rarity in Bollywood where often the projects get delayed way beyond the planned schedule.

Seemingly, the film's producer Rakesh Roshan conveyed that he did not tell director Sanjay Gupta to rush the shooting though Roshan Sr. did insist that everyone should be on the sets on time so they could concentrate and work becomes easier. It seems that for the movie, Hrithik and the remaining cast used to reach the sets an hour before shooting and would be ready for the first shot by 9:30 am. In this manner, the crew managed to reduce the number of days of the shoot and everything happened on time. The trailer of the movie is likely to be out next week.

The movie is the tale of Rohan Bhatnagar (played by Hrithik), a blind man living in the city of Mumbai trying to make a living as a mimicry artist. It is hyped to be a thriller.

Kaabil stars Hrithik Roshan along with Yami Gautam and is expected to hit the theaters on 26th January, 2017. The movie will face competition from Shah Rukh Khan's Raees which is scheduled to release on the same day.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who directed the hit franchise of Sarkar, is back with the third part of the movie. Titled Sarkar 3, Ram Gopal Varma took it to Twitter and disclosed the cast of the movie.

Amitabh Bachchan will be seen reviving his role of Subhash Nagre in the Godfatheresque movie. Big B's role in Sarkar franchise is considered as one of the strongest roles in the actor's career.

Manoj Bajpayee will essay the role of Govind Deshpande and RGV explained his character, "Loosely based on a very cranky and slightly violent version of Kejriwal" That's hilarious!

Beautiful actress Yami Gautam is the female lead of the movie. She will be seen as Annu Karkare, who is set to take revenge on Sarkar for killing her father.

Ronit Roy is set to essay Sarkar's right hand as he will be seen donning the character of Gokul Satam.

RGV tweeted by telling, "Both Abhishek and Aishwarya are not there in Sarkar 3 as this story is set in another time and another situation"
