Fox wants Hollywood remake of Hrithik's Kaabil!

Recently, we hear that Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil has been approached by 20th Century Fox for acquiring its remake right for a Hollywood movie.

The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, was based on a blind man who avenges the rape of her wife. The film was produced by Rakesh Roshan.

Talking to a famous daily, Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta told, “It’s true that Fox, through Tomas Jegeus has approached Hrithik. Even though the developments are too premature to talk about at this moment, it is an honour for the team. What is also exciting is that Kaabil has been declared the best film of (the first half of) 2017 via an online poll. So, it’s a double win for us.”

Rakesh Roshan, while speaking about the Hollywood remake told, “The screenplay was hard-hitting, and the drama, gripping. It would make for a wonderful Hollywood adaptation, given that it has all the necessary emotions. It struck gold at the box-office because it was about a visually-impaired lover seeking revenge.”

The film had received a mixed reaction from the people and was pitted alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Raees. Despite the tough competition, the movie fared decently at the box office.

Film Kaabil is worthy to watch once for a bravura act of Hrithik and entertaining storyline.

Film Kaabil is a revenge drama with effective screenplay and star cast’s performances. Getting inspiration from Hollywood’s Blind Fury (1989) with Rutger Hauer in the lead and even using shades of the Korean super hit, Broken (2014), director Sanjay Gupta gives you a Bollywood plot that is enjoyable and effective.

What surely works in Kaabil is the fact that it has a control over its proceedings from the very first frame till the last. Visibly, Hrithik Roshan dominates the proceedings completely and is present on screen for more than 90% of the duration. There is no time wasted in establishing him as a regular young man next door who overcomes his handicap with his intelligence and the senses available to him. His love story with Yami Gautam is pleasing and you indeed root for them as they fall in love and finally get wedded. But, when tragedy strikes them, courtesy Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy, you heart pains for them.

Director Sanjay Gupta surely keeps you glued on the screen. You fall in love with the pair, glare at the screen in horror as the tragedy divulges and pine for the couple to emerge out of it all. The interval point is fabulous when Hrithik gives an open challenge to the top cop (played by Narendra Jha). Kudos to the dialogue writer Sanjay Masoom for establishing this plot point exceptionally, which manages to catch your attention so very well.

Indisputably the movie has its own creative freedoms being taken considering its out and out commercial feel. Still, writer Vijay Kumar Mishra does quite well to keep the credibility quotient intact so that nothing really looks out of space. This is the reason why the second half turns out to be truly awesome as the game of elimination has been narrated with greatest care with high drama incorporated in there. As Hrithik begins to implement his master-plan, everything begins to fall well in place.

The strong point of the movie as director manages quite well in helping a viewer connect not just with his lead pair but also the villains of the movie. You want the good man to win over horrible villains and it is this very emotional connection in the storytelling that makes you applaud along when the revenge kick starts.

  

Rajesh Roshan’s music is a melodious. It amalgamates well into the movie, whether it is Mon Amour, title song Kaabil Hoon or Haseeno La Deewana.

Cinematography (Ayananka Bose, Sudeep Chatterjee) is appropriate as per the mood and situation while the background score (Salim-Suleiman) is brilliant, mainly in the second half when thrills are added to the drama. Action (Shyam Kaushal) is kept convincing while editing (Akiv Ali) is apt. VFX is good.

  

From the performances point of view, Hrithik gives a brilliant performance which has numerous shades to it. His facial expressions and body language say it all and there are numerous scenes where he stands out despite not mouthing a single word. Yami Gautam has a good role and is really there for the whole first half and then also occasionally in the second half. She is decent and natural again. Rohit Roy essays his character in a manner that you feel disgusted with him, which truly solves the purpose. Ronit Roy is awesome as ever and it is delightful to see him portray different characters. Narendra Jha delivers another skillful act.

  

As a filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan has guaranteed that Kaabil turns out to be a commercial and entertaining movie for the viewers that has all the right ingredients in place and that too in the right magnitudes.

On the whole, movie Kaabil is praiseworthy to watch once for a bravura act of Hrithik and entertaining storyline.

Hrithik Roshan will celebrate Raees and Kaabil success to pop champagne with Shahrukh!

As the day of the big box office clash nears, the movie goers and film industry experts are thrilled to see how Kaabil and Raees will perform at the box office. And while Hrithik has taken it all in good faith as his previous statements have reflected, the 42-year-old also wishes well for both the flicks.

As per communication with the media lately the Mohenjo Daro star told, “Hopefully both films will do well, but on the whole, it will be a loss of about Rs 100 crores for the industry as compared to both the films releasing individually. My father understands that and he is sad about that, and he thinks that it could have been managed in a better way, but we completely understand Raees was in the waiting for too long.”

He further added, “My wish is that when both the films do well, Shah Rukh, I, dad, Farhan and everyone will pop champagne and celebrate for each other.”

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil also stars Yami Gautam and will hit the silver screen on January 25.

Hrithik never takes his work for granted, reveals Yami Gautam!

If you thought Hrithik Roshan is a megastar only because of his good looks and his Greek God physique, you would be wrong.

Yami Gautam, who will be seen romancing Hrithik for the very first time in Sanjay Gupta's revenge drama Kaabil, told that Hrithik is an actor, who never takes his work for granted, which makes him a megastar. Yami also further added that Hrithik has the zeal to keep outdoing himself, which is quite exciting. Hrithik will be seen playing the role of a visually impaired person in this movie.

Kaabil, which is produced by Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan under his banner FilmKraft Productions, is set to release on January 26 next year.

Sunny Leone’s sizzling item no. in Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’!

Earlier, we had informed that actress Sunny Leone will be seen dancing to the iconic number Laila Oh Laila in forthcoming movie Raees, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and now, it seems that Leone will be seen in a special dance number in Kaabil too, which is set to clash with Raees on January 26 next year.

But, when called for a comment, Sunny was quoted telling that though she is in talks with the maker, nothing is confirmed as such yet. If Leone does end up having an item number in Sanjay Gupta's Kaabil, she will be seen in two movies that are clashing on the same day. Kaabil, which is a revenge drama, stars Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.

SRK's Raees, which has been directed by Rahul Dholakia, also stars Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Hrithik Roshan - Yami Gautam's 'Kaabil' to go on floors March end!

Actor Hrithik Roshan will be seen romancing Yami Gautam in Sanjay Gupta's next Kaabil and they will start shooting for the movie by the end of March.

Sanjay verified the reports and revealed, ''My last long weekend with my family coz Kaabil shoot starts in three weeks and then its non-stop work till July. So making the most of it. Thanks to my 1st AD Nadeem Shah there are no free weekends once we roll Kaabil at the end of this month. Mushkil se Holi ki chutti mili (sic).''

Kaabil will be produced by Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan and is slated to release in January 2017.

Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan, who was busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro, was supposed to team up with Sanjay Gupta for a thriller titled Kaabil and the light-eyed hunk lately confirmed this on his Twitter page.

Taking to his Twitter page, Hrithik told, “Im looking 4ward 2 dis journey. #KAABIL- v r capable of much more than v can ever imagine. @yamigautam v r going 2 rock dis! @_SanjayGupta”
