Newcomer Saiyami Kher is all set to mark her big Bollywood
debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya, which releases this weekend but,
she didn't always want to be an actress.
When the curly-haired beauty was asked if she always wanted
to be an actress, she told, ''My life revolves around sports. I used to play
competitive badminton and cricket so acting wasn't my career of choice since
childhood but when I came to Mumbai and I was studying in Xavier's that's where
I think the bug bit me because I started doing a lot of theater workshops.''
Revealing how she bagged the lead role in Mirzya, she said
us, ''It was a very long journey. I auditioned for almost six months. After
almost 12 screen tests, when sir (Mehra) was fully sure, he signed me.''
Kher will be seen romancing Harshvardhan Kapoor in Mirzya,
which is inspired by the Punjabi folklore of Mirza Sahiban.
