While not many of us remember the single screen theatre
movie fun, Salman khan is all set to revive the experience by beginning his own
private chain.
The chain named ‘Salman Talkies’ will make available the
tickets at heavily subsidised rates. Seemingly, six single screen theatres from
all over Maharashtra have been picked to initially start with.
Salman also intends to expand the chain in Uttar Pradesh by
2017. Talking about his aim with this move, a spokesperson from his Being Human
Foundation told, “If his film has to hit a double hundred he wants to do it
with Rs 100 tickets. If we can't touch that figure with this plan, we will try
again with another film but Salman strongly believes that ticket prices should
be brought down.”
A source close to the actor was also heard as telling,
“Tickets for films at his theatres will be available at heavily subsidised
rates and free for children. Salman will be launching each screen
himself."
He further told, “He will be lending his name to a theatre
chain to promote tax-free viewing.”
Remarkably, if everything could work timely Salman will
kick-start the chain in Maharashtra with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay.
