Dilli to Dabangg: Three Young Salman Khan Fans Go Missing from Delhi in Bid to Meet Idol, Found Safe After Four-Day Search

New Delhi, India – The immense power of celebrity devotion was brought sharply into focus this week as three minor boys from Delhi, aged between 9 and 13, went missing for four harrowing days, all driven by a singular dream: to meet Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The children, who vanished from their homes on July 25th, sparked a frantic multi-state search operation before being safely located at a railway station in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Tuesday, July 29th.

The extraordinary incident highlights not only the fervent fan following of Salman Khan but also the growing concerns around online interactions and their potential influence on young minds.

The Daring Journey: Lured by a False Promise

According to police reports, the three school-going boys from Delhi's Sadar Bazar area had reportedly befriended a person named Wahid from Jalna, Maharashtra, through an online gaming platform. In their virtual interactions, Wahid allegedly claimed to have previously met Salman Khan and confidently promised to facilitate a meeting between the young fans and their idol in Mumbai.

Believing this incredible offer, the trio hatched a plan to travel to Jalna first, as an initial step towards reaching Mumbai and meeting the 'Dabangg' star. On July 25th, without informing their families, they embarked on their ambitious journey.

The Missing Days: A Frantic Search Begins

Their sudden disappearance sent shockwaves through their families, who immediately filed missing persons reports with the Delhi Police. The investigation quickly gained crucial leads:

·         A Handwritten Note: At one of the boys' homes, police discovered a handwritten note explicitly stating their intention to meet Wahid in Jalna. This became the primary clue.

·         CCTV Footage: Surveillance footage near Ajmeri Gate, a key transit point, showed the boys heading towards the New Delhi Railway Station, suggesting they planned to board a train.

·         Train Tracking: Based on train schedules and potential routes, police suspected the boys had boarded the Sachkhand Express, which runs from Delhi to Maharashtra.

The Delhi Police swiftly coordinated with the Railway Police and their counterparts in Maharashtra, deploying teams to various locations.

The Discovery: Found Safe in Nashik

As the search intensified and law enforcement became involved, Wahid, the online acquaintance, reportedly backed out of the planned meeting with the boys. This unexpected turn led the minors to abandon their original plan of reaching Jalna and eventually Mumbai. Instead, they disembarked at a railway station in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Despite losing direct contact with Wahid, brief mobile phone activity from one of the boys proved instrumental in tracing their location. Finally, after a four-day ordeal, the Delhi Police, in collaboration with Maharashtra Police, successfully located the three boys safe and unharmed at the Nashik railway station on Tuesday. They were immediately brought under police protection, and arrangements were made for their safe return to Delhi to be reunited with their anxious families.

A Stark Reminder: Online Safety and Fan Enthusiasm

This incident serves as a poignant reminder for both parents and children about the dangers of unsupervised online interactions and the need for extreme caution when dealing with strangers met on gaming platforms or social media. While the unwavering devotion of Salman Khan's massive fan base is well-documented, such extreme measures can lead to dangerous situations for minors.

Authorities are reportedly investigating Wahid's role in the incident to prevent similar occurrences. As the boys are safely reunited with their families, the episode underscores the critical importance of open communication between parents and children regarding online safety and the responsible pursuit of fan interests.
