Bombay actress Manisha Koirala recalls her moment of being ‘bored of acting’!

With Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Manisha Koirala, who delighted viewers in the 1990s with her charm, beauty, and acting prowess, made a comeback to the big screen. She recently talked about a time in her career when she was disinterested in being an actress. Nevertheless, Koirala believed the seasoned actress was unable to understand her viewpoint when Dimple Kapadia advised her to appreciate the profession.

Manisha Koirala talked about a time in her career when she was bored with her job and couldn't get thrilled about the prospect of work in a media chat. Consequently, she confided in Dimple Kapadia, who was filming a movie with her. The Bobby actress, however, stated something she didn't expect.

Koirala revealed, "I told her, 'I am bored of acting.' And she said, 'You better enjoy it because this is not going to last forever.' And such a great advice she gave me. But, at that point in time, I was like, 'Yeh kya keh rahi hai? (What is she even saying?) Can't she understand I am bored?' My inner conversation was different."

But after a few years, the Dil Se actress was able to relate to the Sagar actress's "sound advice" and realized its purpose. However, Koirala clarified that she became disinterested in acting during a time in her life when she was working many shifts a day on various movies, leaving her feeling overburdened.

The Sanju actress revealed that she used to start her day by applying makeup for two to three hours before working three shifts for various films at once. In addition, she did not receive any leave on weekends or in any other way, unlike nowadays. She gradually lost interest in her career at the time due to the fatigue.

In 1992, Manisha Koirala made her Bollywood debut in Saudagar. She has since starred in a number of well-known movies, including Dil Se, Company, 1942: A Love Story, Khamoshi the Musical, Akele Hum Akele Tum, and others.

However, in 2012, she received a cancer diagnosis and underwent treatment, taking time from work to prioritize her health.
