South star Dhanush denies any news of working with Rajinikanth!

Earlier in a media chat, actor Dhanush had specified that working with Rajinikanth will be like a dream come true for him. In fact, he had told that even getting to stand behind the superstar, would be enough for him. Well this had fuelled up rumours that the two will soon be seen working together in their next project. Lately, there was also news about Dhanush shutting down his production house.

In a latest media chat with a daily, Dhanush denied these rumours and revealed, “There is no truth to reports stating that our production house is shutting down. People have started speculating because we haven't announced any project. Many producers make one film in a year or two, that doesn't imply they are out of business. We are in the process of finalising a couple of scripts and will announce them soon. Hits and flops are part of any production house. We have had a decent run.”

The actor further added, “When there is no truth to the reports of our company being in losses, how can this be true? We would love to work with Rajini sir again, but unfortunately we aren't collaborating on anything now. If anything comes up, we'll definitely approach him.”

Superstar Rajinikanth and Dhanush’s holiday time in the USA!

Megastar Rajinikanth with his family is presently holidaying in the USA. The megastar will be celebrating New Years with his family and will return to India only in the first week of January 2019.

Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, Dhanush posted a picture on his Twitter page in which he is seen chilling with Rajinikanth. The actor wrote, "Happy holidays #familytime." The two look dashing in all festive mode and are even dressed up in the same way.

On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in Maari 2.

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0’s Box Office report for Day 1!

Film 2.0 has released now. The movie starring South superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has been one of the much-anticipated movies of the year. Devotees of Rajinikanth simply cannot contain their excitement and were seen celebrating the release of the movie like a festival. Film 2.0 managed to break a few records even before the release in the advance booking, and now, the film is setting the box office on fire.

As per reports, for the Hindi version, 2.0 has earned around Rs 25 crores. The final numbers are anticipated to be greater. The film registered an occupancy of over 90 per cent in South and around 35 per cent in Hindi belt. Film 2.0 is ruling the overseas market as well. The film's advance booking was started around a week before in the overseas markets and this has only helped the sci-fi film to put big numbers on day one at the box office. As per the initial figures, 2.0 has earned around Rs 59 lakhs ($83,720) from 35 screens in Australia, $282,967 from 258 screens in the US till 9 PM EST and Rs 11.11 lakhs ($15,920) in New Zealand from 18 screens, as per film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

The biggest releases of 2018, 2.0 starring megastar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson released today. Since weeks, the viewers was anticipating the arrival of Chitti The Robot and The Crow Man. The film is directed by S Shankar and is hyped to be one of the most expensive movies in Indian cinema. Nana Patekar’s fight with superstar Rajinikanth for Kaala Karikaalan!

South megastar Rajinikanth, who was presently in Mumbai to shoot for his forthcoming movie Kaala Karikaalan, in which he essays a Mumbai-based gangster, will have none other than veteran actor Nana Patekar essaying the antagonist in the movie.

Though it was earlier believed that Nana may be playing a cop in the movie, we have now learned that he will be seen playing a corrupt politician. We have also heard that Dhanush, who is bankrolling the project, might play the younger version of his father-in-law in the movie which will highlight the lives of oppressed Tamils in Mumbai.

Apart from Rajinikanth, Kaala Karikaalan also stars Huma Qureshi.

Rajinikanth feels cinema's pride in 'Baahubali 2'!

Megastar Rajinikanth on Sunday described S.S Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", which has already been adjudged a hit, as Indian cinema's pride. He even saluted the entire team for their hard work.

Calling it a "masterpiece", Rajinikanth posted, "'Baahubali 2' Indian cinema's pride. My salutes to god's own child Rajamouli and his team."

While the first part, "Baahubali: The Beginning", released in July 2015 and minted over Rs 600 crore at the box office, "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" was supposed to come out in 2016.

But, the makers took time and released the movie on April 28 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

With an estimated earnings of Rs 121 crore from first day across four languages, the second part in the "Baahubali" franchise is said to have registered the biggest opening for an Indian film.

Rajinikanth’s No for any bypoll candidate!

Ever since previous Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa was admitted to hospital to her unfortunate demise, Tamil Nadu has been making news for the prevalent political crisis in the state.

Now the bypoll of RK Nagar (which was Jayalalithaa's constituency) is to be held after her death, and megastar Rajinikanth's opinion is what is said to enormously influence the masses. 

Many of his admirers even expressed their wish for Rajinikanth to hold the CM's chair, but, the superstar has always shied away from entering politics, for reasons known good to him.

Well, the biggest example of his mass appeal is obvious when the AIADMK party lost the elections in 1996 after Rajinikanth had warned against electing her [Jayalalilithaa] to power. "If Jayalalithaa is voted back to power, even God cannot save Tamil Nadu," Rajinikanth had told. Well, what happened next is history!

As soon as photos of Rajinikanth with celebrated music composer Gangai Amaran, BJP's candidate from RK Nagar, started doing the rounds, conjectures were made of his possible alliance with BJP. 

One must remember that the RK Nagar bypoll is of much importance to the TN politics as both both fractions of AIADMK led by Sasikala and O Paneersalvem respectively have fielded their candidates.

Well, Rajinikanth has finally put to rest all the conjectures. Taking to twitter, Rajinikanth tweeted, "My support is for no one in the coming elections."

If given a choice, I would have loved to do Akshay’s role in 2.0, reveals Rajinikanth!

Megastar Rajinikanth on Sunday told he was quite curious to essay Akshay Kumar's role in his forthcoming Tamil science-fiction actioner 2.o. He told Akshay is the real hero of the movie.

"I am not the hero of 2.0, Akshay Kumar is. If given a choice, I would have loved to do that role. The entire country will applaud him when they see his work," Rajinikanth told.

Akshay Kumar essays the prime antagonist in the movie, which will hit the screens worldwide during Diwali 2017.

Speaking at the event, Akshay told, "Director Shankar said my role will be difficult but I enjoyed it. The subject is very unique. I'm sure this film will reach the standards of Hollywood."

Also starring Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain, the Rs 350 crore mega budget movie is produced by Lyca Productions. it is being finished shot in 3D.

Karan Johar gets the charge to host the '2.o' event at Yash Raj Studios!

Filmmaker and TV host Karan Johar will host the first look launch event of megastar Rajinikanth's forthcoming Tamil sci-fi action drama "2.o" here on Sunday.

According to an official statement by Lyca Productions, the event will take place in the city's prestigious Yash Raj Studios in the presence of the film's entire cast.

The makers also confirmed that Karan has been handed over the charge to host the event, which will be organised on a very big scale.

Directed by Shankar, the movie is the sequel to 2010 Tamil blockbuster "Enthiran", and it is seemingly being made on a lavish budget of Rs 350 crore.

Also starring Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain, the film has music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman.

Only one duet song in film Rajinikanth's '2.o'!

Megastar Rajinikanth starrer Tamil science fiction action-drama "2.o", a sequel to 2010 hit "Enthiran", will most likely feature only one song, a source told.

"There is only one song in the film and the makers have already shot it. However, the album will feature five or six songs," the source from the film's unit revealed.

The solo song is a duet, and it was shot in Ukraine.

"This song was shot across exotic locations in Ukraine. It's a mellifluous duet and it has been picturized on Rajinikanth sir and Amy Jackson," he told.

Double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is composing the tunes for the film, which is directed by Shankar.

The movie marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who essays the antagonist. It also features Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in significant roles.

The first look of the much-awaited movie will be unveiled on November 20 in Mumbai and the event will be streamed live.

Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' to release on July 22!

Rajinikanth’s admirers had been waiting with baited breath for this piece of news. After a lot of rescheduling, it has now been confirmed that the superstar's next Kabali will hit the theaters on July 22.

The movie received a 'U' certificate from the Censor Board on Monday and will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The movie will also be dubbed in Malay and will release in Malaysia on July 29. The gangster-drama will release, in all its three versions, across 4000 screens worldwide.

As per prediction, the movie Kabali may do a pre-release business of Rs. 200 crore.
