Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has been making buzz due to its box office performances and top-notch visual treat for audiences. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Brahmastra 1 starrer is loved by all; now all concentration are on part 2 and 3 of the trilogy. Lately, in a media conversation, the veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt admired Ayan Mukerji and film Brahmastra.

When interviewed about the change in filmmaking now, Mahesh Bhatt instantly replied, “I was dazzled by Brahmastra. When I saw the film, I felt that this is a quantum leap and I have no hesitation in saying that Ayan is the James Cameron of the Indian cinema world.” Mahesh Bhatt further revealed, “Of course, it required a Disney and the likes of Uday Shankar and Karan Johar and the support of Ranbir and Alia and Ayan’s entire team, but I think that it is something quite amazing.”

Mahesh Bhatt went on to admire Ayan Mukerji’s courage and revealed, “There is a filmmaker here who says that I am going to stand up and make movies which are going to be as good as the best content that is created by the world. And so, it’s playing overseas. Just standing up and mesmerising them by being rooted in India. They are rooted here and yet they are very contemporary in their packaging and the way it looks. Ayan Mukerji’s vision for using nature's powers in his next Brahmastra!

Film Brahmastra’s director Ayan Mukerji and his team are beginning to reveal new content related to the movie. Recently, Ayan Mukerji released a brand-new video explaining his vision that he had in mind when he first started writing Brahmastra. The filmmaker also took a deep diva into the numerous powers that will be a part of the movie and explained them.  

In the video, Ayan can be seen explaining nature's forces of air, water, fire and earth and the astra verse at length. In the video, he wrote, "While Brahmāstra is a work of fiction, my attempt has been to celebrate Indian spirituality, in my own way, through this movie. On this very auspicious day of Guru Purnima, I wanted to share a little more in depth about the the concept of Brahmāstra - a movie through which I personally found myself transforming into a forever-student of the infinite wisdom that exists in our ancient Indian roots… Hope you guys enjoy our imagination! #astraverse."

Film Brahmastra is scheduled to release on 9 September, 2022.

Ayan Mukerji to clarify on why Ranbir Kapoor wore shoes in the temple scene!

The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra’s trailer has received a lot of love and netizens cannot stop praising the trailer. But there is one thing that had caught the attention of the followers and they had been trolling Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir for one specific scene in which the actor wore his shoes inside a temple.

Recently, the director took to his Instagram handle to explain why Ranbir wore his shoes in the temple scene and he also informed fans that now the trailer has been released in 4K as well.

About it, Ayan Mukerji wrote, “We had some people in our community, upset because of one shot in our Trailer - Ranbir’s character wearing shoes as he rings a Bell. As the Creator of this film (and a devotee), I wanted to humbly address what happened here. In our movie, Ranbir is not entering a temple, but a Durga Puja Pandal. My own family has been organising a similar kind of Durga Puja Celebration for… 75 years! One, which I have been a part of since my childhood. In my experience, we only take off our shoes, right on the stage where the Goddess is, and not when you enter the Pandal.”

Ayan further revealed, “It is personally important for me to reach out to anyone who may have been upset with this image… because above all, Brahmāstra is created as a movie experience which pays respect to, and celebrates - Indian culture, traditions and history. That is at the heart of why I made this movie, so it is very important to me that this feeling, reaches every Indian who is watching Brahmāstra!”

Ayan Mukerji gives his 10 years for 'dream project' Brahmastra!

Film Brahmastra is one of the most awaited films of 2022. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The movie is projected to serve as the first movie in a planned trilogy.

Lately, the makers divulged the teaser of the film and also gave a sneak peek of the whole cast. Now, in a media chat, director Ayan Mukerji posted anecdotes from the making of his forthcoming movie and disclosed that it took him 10 years to make it.

Speaking to a daily, Ayan revealed, "Brahmastra began in 2011 itself and since then it took me 10 years for us to convert the dream into reality. The film has many inspirations, since childhood, I was very fond of our history, and mythology, and many films have been made in the fantasy and superhero genre, but they were not connected to our roots. I took inspiration from our mythology and history. I believe that every Indian in this country is connected to our culture. So that is the root of Brahmastra. The movie's inspiration is from our mythology but it is based on today's world."

Brahmastra will be slated to release in theatres on September 9 in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

He shared, "And finally… It’s a Wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmāstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one! Absolutely incredible, challenging, once-in-a-lifetime journey!!! Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi - a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings! Exciting days ahead, last lap ahead! 09.09.2022 - Here we come!"

Declaring the wrap, Ayan also shared some special pics. An thrilled Alia also shared a video announcing the movie's wrap as she wrote, "We started shooting in 2018. And now … finally .. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan discussed cinema and content with his "Brahmastra" director Ayan Mukerji and actor Ranbir Kapoor. He tells the young talents have "special gifts and thoughts".

"And later time spent with Ayan and Ranbir upstairs to talk 'Brahmastra' from the morrow together... and to discuss film and content and cinema. The young have some very special gifts and thoughts," Amitabh shared on his blog.

The 76-year-old finds it a "delight" to be in Ayan and Ranbir's company.

Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure and will release in December 2019. It also features Alia Bhatt, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Dragon will start in November now!

Ranbir Kapoor is presently busy with the shoot of Sanjay Dutt’s yet untitled biopic and will also soon start the promotions of his already much delayed Jagga Jasoos with Katrina Kaif.

Among this busy schedule, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil star had to start shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Dragon.

But, according to newest reports, the superhero movie has been delayed and will now go on the floors in November, this year.

The problem is Ayan is not yet ready with the script. As per an insider, “Ayan is still working on the story of a boy with super powers as he is not able to get it right.”

It’s been a year since Ayan Mukerji started talking about his superhero movie, Dragon with Ranbir Kapoor.

After seeing much delay, Ranbir got busy with the shooting of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic. However, the Bollywood star was spotted with Aryan and Alia Bhatt at a studio prepping up for their respective roles.

An international mixed-martial arts trainer was roped-in to coach Ranbir in the action sequences and a picture of the actor training was also shared on social media.

Vivacious actress Alia Bhatt is back in town, but seems like she's missing her short London vacation. The Highway actor posted the picture of her chilling with Ayan Mukerji and a gang of other friends and gave a caption which reads as, "The adventures of the Londoners."

Even yesterday the actress had put up a photo of the two on Instagram and it's too cute for words. Alia will be seen in Ayan's Dragon and is expected to begin shooting for it as soon as Ranbir Kapoor wraps up shooting for Sanjay Dutt's biopic.

In an interview to a famous media agency, she told, "There will be a lot of action around me. I don’t think I will be beating up anybody. It is not a typical superhero film. It’s a sci-fi, supernatural film. There will be some extensive prep work not for the acting part much but for the world, it’s a new world. There is no dialect or anything that we have to learn."

She also added, "Ayan said there is no Ranbir and Alia there in the film, there is just one character, it is that tight a love story."

Lately, the reports had come in light that Ranbir, Ayan and Alia had met in London for discussing the project. 

Beside the Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Dragon also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. 

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Dragon will arrive on the time!

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set to come together with his best friend and director Ayan Mukerji for the third time after Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in Dragon. Ranbir will be starring opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time. Bhatt has been a fan of Ranbir since her Student of the Year days and hence it will be exciting to see them together on screen. 

Lately, rumours were widespread that because of an increase in the budget, the movie has been delayed to next year. However, a source close to the project denied the news. The source said, "It's not true. The movie's shooting will commence after Ranbir completes the shoot for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, in September or October."

In the meantime, Ranbir is totally engrossed in the character of Sanjay Dutt as he is busy shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's movies. The movie stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala and Anushka Sharma. Ranbir's upcoming release is Jagga Jasoos which also stars his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif and is directed by Anurag Basu. Although there have been numerous reports of possible delays in the movie, as of now - the movie is releasing on April 7, 2017. 

Currently, Alia Bhatt is enjoying the success of her newest movie Badrinath Ki Dulhaniawhich is doing very well at the box-office and her performance along with Varun Dhawan has been applauded. She will now be taking a break for a few months and then start shooting again.

Chirpy actress Alia Bhatt is currently busy with the promotions for her forthcoming film Dear Zindagi. She is starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan who essays her therapist.

When a famous magazine asked Alia who her real-life confidants are, she told, "I speak to different people for different reasons, depending on whether it's a relationship issue or a work problem. You'd be lucky if you could confide in one person but I think its unfair pressure. So I have four confidants - Karan Johar, Abhishek Varman, Ayan Mukerji and my sister, Shaheen."

My dream to do action film for amazing to see me kick and fight somebody, reveals Alia Bhatt!

Bollywood chirpy actress Alia Bhatt has portrayed an array of emotions on the big screen from Student of the Year (2012) to Udta Punjab (2016). But, the actress is yet to gamble into the action genre and do some kick ass high-octane action roles. 

Alia Bhatt is now ready to feature in an action-oriented superhero movie opposite Ranbir Kapoor. In a tête-à-tête with a famous tabloid, Alia was enquired about the movie and Ranbir's much-talked about action scenes. But will the actress also do some daredevil stunts in the movie? "Maybe I am also doing some action scenes in Ayan Mukerji's movie. If he is doing them, I will be too, no? It won’t be the hard-core stuff that he’s doing, but I will definitely be a part of the action atmosphere. I don’t have the right information to talk in detail about my role in Dragon as I have not figured out my character yet. We need to get to the making the movie and then I can talk to you about it. But a proper action film? I don’t know… Somebody has to write one for me. There are not many action films for women in Bollywood," revealed the actress. 

On being enquired if she has ever thought of doing a high-octane action movie, Alia told, "Of course I have! My fav Hollywood action film is Kill Bill which has a great story also. I would love to do a spy action thriller. It would be fun! My biggest dream in life is to an action film because if there’s one thing that I am really bad at is that I have no grace or poise in my body language and for an action film you need to have all of that. There are two reasons why I want to do an action film: because it’s my dream and I think it will be so amazing to see me kick and fight somebody!"

Ranbir with fire throwing power but Alia’s power not revealed in their next Dragon!

As we know, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be paired opposite each other in Ayan Mukerji's next titled Dragon. Ayan disclosed that the movie will be a superhero film, where Ranbir will be having superpowers.

As per a famous daily, not only Ranbir but also Alia will be having some kind of superpowers. A source disclosed about it telling, "Along with Ranbir, other characters including Alia Bhatt will also have superpowers in the film. The title Dragon will also go in for a change. It’s just a working title as of now."

Director Ayan Mukerji had numerous options of what will be the handsome actor's superpower. After a lot of brainstorming, he decided that Ranbir will have the power to throw fire through his hands. There are reports that legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has also been roped in to play an important role in the film.

Ayan Mukerji's 'Casting Couch' controversy?

Director Ayan Mukerji, known for making hit movies like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, found himself in a soup when a woman filed a case of sexual harassment against him at the Oshiwara police station lately.

In her complaint, Ragini Nagar, an executive producer by profession, alleged that she got a Facebook message from someone claiming to be Ayan and that she was offered a job by the person operating the account. When Nagar agreed to the job, the person, who claimed to be Ayan, started hinting at sexual favours and began pressurizing her to give in to his demands. Following this, she filed a police complaint against Ayan.

But, on getting to know about this, Ayan instantly took to his Facebook wall to write, “Hello. I've been getting a few calls from friends and family that an impostor is using my name on facebook making lewd conversations with aspiring actors and even asking for money. Please be careful, that's not me! This is me!”

Police sources suggest that the case may be transferred to the Cyber Crime Division, where the identity of the impostor claiming to be Mukerji will be probed.

FRIEND’S DOUBLE WORK ON JAGGA JASOOS!

Anurag Basu has asked Ayan Mukherji to help him finish Jagga Jasoos.

You see Ayan is friends with both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif so Anu asked him to come to set to be a go-between for the stars. He also took Ayan’s advice to shoot Jagga Jasoos’ Moroccan portions on a set in Mumbai so that both actors could be in their comfort zones close to home. Unfortunately, the film’s producer Sid Roy Kapur hated the rushes he saw! Now he’s told Anu to stop asking Ayan for input and to go to Morocco to shoot the scenes as planned. Like they say Ayan, no good deed goes unpunished! 

Ranbir to play the Bollywood version of the Human Torch!

It has already been informed that Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's superhero project and we have information that Kapoor's character might bear similarities to 'Human Torch', the superhero from the Fantastic Four series by Marvel Comics.

A close source reveals that after brainstorming a lot about what superpower their protagonist can have, the team finally decided on the ability to emit and manipulate fire as the best superpower for their character to have. Readers might remember that Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) from the Fantastic Four series also possesses the ability to control fire, allowing him to project fire from his body.

The movie, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role, is expected to go on floors by February 2016.
