Varun Dhawan divulges about cleaning toilets and serve breakfast for the film October!

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan's next movie October looks fascinating to the core and it's getting harder to contain our excitement for this not so usual love tale. In this much-awaited movie, the actor portrays a hotel management student who is working in a five-star hotel as part of the trainee program.

Varun recently posted a post on Instagram disclosing interesting facts about his character Dan. "Danny my boy. #dan. Shot and lived real hotel where my job was to serve breakfast, clean toilets, make beds and even do the laundry," Varun captioned his post. His Instagram post has revved up curiosity.”

Talking of his role in the movie, Varun had previously revealed a leading tabloid that working on this movie has impacted his performance in a positive way. "It feels amazing. We wrapped up the film in 38 days. October is more than a film to me. I don't want to say much about it, but this film has definitely impacted me so much as a human being. I think it has definitely changed me as a human being. Working with Shoojit da was my dream, which has been fulfilled now. After a long time, I have done something which is different," he had told.

The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on April 13, 2018.

October impacted me so much, revealed Varun Dhawan!

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan tells Shoojit Sircar's "October" has given him a chance to do something "different" after a long time and that it was a life-changing experience for him.

"Working with Shoojit da was my dream, which has been fulfilled now. After a long time, I have done something which is different," Varun told here on Friday at an event.

The shoot of "October" was wrapped up in Manali ahead of schedule.

On October’s shooting experience, Varun told, "It feels amazing. We wrapped up the film in 38 days. 'October' is more than a film to me. I don't want to say much about it, but this film has definitely impacted me so much as a human being. I think it has definitely changed me as a human being."

"October" is a slice-of-life drama which also features model Banita Sandhu. It will release on April 13 next year.

Film October’s shooting in just 38 days!

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has lastly wrapped the shooting of his movie October. Varun was shooting in Manali for the movie and took to Twitter to pronounce the same. The movie is a Delhi-set slice-of-life love story and also stars Banita Sandhu in the lead role. The exciting bit about the movie is that it was shot in just 38 days.

Post the shoot got over, director Shoojit Sircar kept a bash. He told, "Yes, there is a party. It is really cold in Manali and we have have an early morning flight to catch. We are happy and relieved that we have finished the shoot before time."

The director also told October will explore a different side of Delhi. "I find a lot of character in Delhi. I am familiar with the city and the people. It is always very comforting to return to Delhi. I will explore the romantic side of the city this time," further added Sircar.

He was also admirations for Varun as an actor. Speaking about Varun, Shoojit told, "I think he is very bright. He is trying to open up to different genres. Actors should keep exploring different genres, stories and directors. At the end of the day, you have to challenge yourself."

October’s debutant Banita Sandhu’s hot avatar in her latest shoot!

It was lately pronounced that Banita Sandhu would be the female lead opposite Varun Dhawan in Shoojit Sircar’s next, October. Varun had himself posted a photo of him with Banita in an all-black avatar. There has been a lot of buzz around Banita’s debut in Bollywood. She has become the IT girl of Bollywood after being signed by Shoojit Sircar for her Bollywood launch. 

Banita is from London and is all of 18. She has been acting since the age of 11 and has already featured in a commercial in India. Shoojit Sircar noticed her in the commercial and signed her for the movie.

It is also being stated that Banita was to be launched by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s banner and casting director Mukesh Chhabra was going to sign her. Mukesh Chhabra has been planning his directorial debut and had considered casting Banita in his debut, oppsite Vinod Khanna’s son Sakshi Khanna.

About casting Banita, Shoojit Sircar had revealed a famous tabloid, “Everybody loved Banita in a chewing gum commercial that I had directed. It had almost 40 million hits. While I was shooting the ad film, Juhi (Chaturvedi, the writer) and I were also working on the script (for this film). So, one day, I clicked a picture of Banita and sent it to Juhi saying, ‘She has the potential to fit into the character that we are looking at’”. He also said, “We did look at other actors [for Banita’s part], but then one day, I called her and told her that I may be casting her in the film and that she should start doing workshops”.

Varun Dhawan gets his leading lady for October!

Varun Dhawan's alliance with Shoojit Sircar in October has grabbed the right kind of buzz.

When it comes to the leading lady to be paired opposite Varun, the actor shared a blurry photo of his #October girl.

Now, it is finally disclosed that UK based Banita Sandhu has been confirmed to star opposite Varun.

When Shoojit was questioned about casting Banita by a famous tabloid, he got frank and told that he had Banita in mind for the movie as he felt she could fit the character right.

"We did look at other actors [for Banita’s part], but then one day, I called her and told her that I may be casting her in the film and that she should start doing workshops," Shoojit told.

The filmmaker further added, "But slowly, Juhi (Chaturvedi), Ronnie (Lahiri) and I zeroed in on her and were sure that, ‘She is the girl we should go for’. My casting director also felt that she was the right person for this character."

On why he chose to work with a newcomer when he could have worked with an established actress instead, Shoojit specified, "It has never mattered to me if I am working with established or non-established actors. The demands of the script is all that matters. The script required a certain face,vulnerability and innocence, so we did many auditions."

Shoojit also told that October will mostly go on floors in October, this year.

No Deepika for Varun Dhawan in October!

Ever since Varun Dhawan signed Shoojit Sircar's next, titled October, conjectures around who would be the main actress in the film. Since Deepika Padukone had lately expressed her desire to again work with Shoojit Sircar after their successful alliance in Piku, rumours were widespread that Varun would be seen romancing Padukone.

But, as per a tabloid, these news are imaginary. A source close to the team repudiated the news to the tabloid and informed, "The film revolves around Varun’s character. Primarily, the heroine’s role isn’t too lengthy in terms of screen time. So, I don’t think Deepika will be taking it up."

But, there is no official pronouncement on the same yet from either the filmmaker or the actress.

Speaking about October, Varun had pronounced the movie's release date lately on Twitter. He shared, "Super excited for this new journey! @OctoberTheMovie, my first alliance with @shoojitsircar da releases on 1st June, 2018. @ronnielahiri."

Seemingly, the movie will be a dark thriller written by Juhi Chaturvedi of Piku fame. A source said the tabloid, "The actor and the filmmaker have been in discussions for a while and have finally locked the script. Varun has loved what Shoojit has envisioned. It’s not another light-hearted, feel-good film. Rather, it’s quite dark. And more than dark, it’s heartbreaking. Varun will start shooting for this as-yet untitled film once he’s done with Judwaa 2."

The source added later, "In fact, Shoojit absolutely loved Varun in Badlapur and felt that he’s one of those young actors who can take up a film of this genre and still make it entertaining. Expect this one to be a notch higher. Varun has taken risks in the past and they have worked well for him and he’s extremely confident about pulling this one off as well."

Varun’s love story will reveal in October!

Shoojit Sircar and Varun Dhawan are collaborating on a slice-of-the-life love story called October.

The movie will reunite the dream team of the writer Juhi Chaturvedi and co-producer Ronnie Lahiri, who have already teamed up to give us Vicky Donor and Piku. October will be extensively filmed in Delhi, and it’ll go into production as soon as next month. Shoojit isn’t giving away any of the film’s secrets just yet, but he did let slip that the idea for it came from a newspaper article that he happened upon. I’m intrigued!

Deepika to romance with Varun Dhawan in Shoojit Sircar's October?

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has teamed up with Shoojit Sircar for an unusual love story titled October. There were a lot of conjectures around the casting for the movie and after the picture of Varun reading a script with Shoojit and the rumours fell flat. Now, what about the leading lady?

As per a report in a leading daily, Deepika Padukone has approached the director of the movie even knowing the fact that she won't have much in her kitty in terms of the role as it's a romantic comedy. She wants to work with Shoojit once again because it was Piku who got her many awards. Won't be interesting to see Deepika and Varun together?

And Shoojit can present unusual pairing in a magical way just like Deepika and Irrfan in Piku. The idea of unconventional romance was a notch above than what we think of.

Titled October, Shoojit tells it’s "not a love story but his take on love". He revealed, "It’s again an out-of-the-box kind of story. We started working on this film’s idea, which came from a small newspaper clipping, right before Piku (2015)," said the film-maker adding that it’s "a very unusual, unconventional kind of a story in the slice-of-life and romance space."

Varun, on his part, tells that since his debut (with Student of The Year; 2012), Shoojit featured on his wish list of directors. “I am definitely happy and excited. What’s amazing about him (Shoojit) is that he is very sure about his vision. I have met him just now, so I am trying to get into that world, understand it, and the way the film is going to breathe and feel. It’s very different from anything I have done before,” revealed the actor.
