Huma Qureshi’s special wish for Saqib Saleem on Raksha Bandhan!

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi has a message for her brother, Saqib Saleem. This Raksha Bandhan, instead of the usual sister tying rakhi to brother, Huma Qureshi wants to reverse the tradition. Huma Qureshi wants Brother Saqib Saleem to tie her a rakhi. Talking to the media in Mumbai, 32-year-old Huma Qureshi revealed, “Rakhi is a beautiful festival. I think brothers should also tie rakhis to their sisters. I always tie rakhis to my brothers but I think this time he will tie me a rakhi.” 

“Brothers should also tie rakhis to their sisters because it is not one-way protection. I think sisters also protect their brothers in their own way. If not physically, then emotionally, mentally and spiritually," Huma added later. 

As we know, Huma and Saqib share a very close bond with each other and their Instagram posts are a proof of it.

Taapsee and Saqib’s peculiar avatar in Dil Juunglee’s first poster!

The much-anticipated poster of Dil Juunglee is here and it looks like a perfect comedy movie. Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu are the leading pair of this interesting new movie. In the poster, Taapsee sports a nerdy look which will assuredly leave you stunned. Saqib, on the other hand, looks cool and handsome as ever.

Saqib took to his Twitter account to share the first poster and captioned it as, “A MAD MAD film! You're set to go on a joy ride with #DilJuunglee! Presenting the first poster!”

The poster also features other actors like Nidhi Singh, Abhilash Thapliyal and Sristi Srivastava. Dil Juunglee is directed by Aleya Sen and will release on February 16, 2018. The characters of the film are termed as mastikhor, badmaash, pagal and jungle.

Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem confirmed for Salman starrer Race 3!

After Bobby Deol, now Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah are formally on board Race 3. There has been conjecture about Aditya Roy Kapur, Sooraj Pancholi, and Sidharth Malhotra being approached for Remo D’ Souza’s Race 3, which is being produced by Ramesh Taurani and Salman Khan.

Anil Kapoor who had been part of Race and Race 2 won’t be seen in the third installment. Race 3, starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Bobby Deol is one of the hottest films in trade today. All the characters in the film, including Salman have shades of grey.

A source reveals, “Daisy and Saqib have signed the film. Daisy had been telling close friends in her circle that she has signed a very big film but was waiting for the announcement to come from the producer. What’s more interesting is that while Anil Kapoor won’t be a part of the third Race franchise directed by Remo D’Souza, a new addition to it is now Huma Qureshi’s brother Saqib. Sooraj Pancholi, who Salman is very fond of, was being considered as the superstar is reportedly calling the shots in the casting and production aspects, but it didn’t work out and Saqib has stepped in Sooraj’s place. While Salman will romance Jacqueline, Bobby will romance Daisy. Saqib’s role will also have negative shades to it like the rest of the cast. Like the earlier Race movies, the audience, while watching Race 3, will be wondering until the very end as to who the real villain is?”

Ramesh Taurani reveals, “Apart from Salman Khan, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez now Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem are officially part of Race 3 now. Daisy is the second female lead in the film.”

I am not dating Taapsee Pannu, reveals Saqib Saleem!

The actor has been in news for quite some time now over his alleged relationship with Taapsee Pannu. But, Saqib in an interview maintained that she is just his "good friend."

“I am not dating her yaar. Few people have asked me this question and this is what I keep telling them. Taapsee is my dearest friend, and there is nothing more than that,” Saqib said a famous tabloid.  He had featured in a music video titled Tum Ho Toh Lagta Hain opposite Taapsee which released in June last year. The two will be seen sharing screen space in the forthcoming movie Makhna as well.

Saqib and Taapsee's alleged relationship made headlines last year after it was stated that the duo went out for a romantic dinner on Taapsee’s birthday.

Commenting on it, Saqib told, “The thing is that woh bhi Dilli ki laundi hai, aurmain bhi Dilli ka launda hun (She is a Delhi girl and I am a Delhi boy). So, we are really comfortable in each other’s company. She has an amazing sense of humour, and I love spending time with her. Woh bahot chill laundi hai (she is a chilled out person)."

“I keep telling her that she should behave like an actor. But she tells me she doesn’t have that vibe, and she can’t behave that way. That’s why I say she is a very easy and comfortable person to be with. But, we are not dating each other, except on-screen for our next film,” the actor ended conversation. 

I think worldwide, feminism was first seen as a dirty word, says Huma Qureshi!

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi tells "feminism is first seen as a dirty word", but the attitude towards it is slowly changing.

Huma, who spoke about the representation of women in media and gender equality at the UN headquarters in New York in March, feels feminism stands for equality for numerous.

"I think worldwide, feminism was first seen as a dirty word. But now feminism is seen as a word which is about equality. This is about giving equal options to everyone. India is no different from the west. We also looked at it in a certain way and now it is completely different," Huma said over the phone from Mumbai.

When it comes to gender inequality at the workplace, Huma told, "More women in workspace means more security for women. I am all for that. I think things are changing slowly, but surely they are changing for the better."

From "Gangs of Wasseypur", "Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana", "Ek Thi Daayan", "Dedh Ishqiya" to "Jolly LLB 2", Huma takes up strong female characters in movies. And it doesn't happen by fluke.

"It is a part conscious and part luck. I want to see interesting and strong characters and I am lucky enough that the directors and makers are doing such kind of projects with me. So it is a mix of all."

After doing some short movies, Huma, who hails from Delhi, came into the spotlight with Anurag Kashyap's dark thriller "Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2" in 2012. Since then, it has been a case of hit and miss in Bollywood.

At the moment, Huma is looking forward to horror movie "Dobaara: See Your Evil", in which she features with her brother Saqib Saleem. Directed by Prawaal Raman, the film also features Lisa Ray, Adil Hussain among others and is slated to release on June 2.

Speaking about the movie, Huma told, "It is a very special film because we are acting together for the first time. We never thought that we will get an opportunity to act in a film together so early in our career. We are very excited about that."

Huma says shooting with her brother was different.

"Saqib is very sensitive as a co-star. He is very involved with everything and hard working. It was a great pleasure to work with him. I discovered new aspects to Saqib's personality that I didn't know. I understand him better as a co-star than a sister."

"Dobaara: See Your Evil" is an official remake of the Hollywood film "Oculus", which released in 2013. The Mike Fangan supernatural psychological horror film stars Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites.

It revolves around a young woman who is convinced that an antique mirror is responsible for the death and misfortune that her family suffered.

The actress was spotted in the city recently for the song launch of her new movie and her brother Saqib and co-star Rhea Chakraborty also accompanied her.

Huma looked beautiful in one shoulder dress. The olive green color dress looked perfect on Huma and she carried it with confident.

Saqib Saleem rocked the military casusals whereas Rhea Chakraborty opted for some bright casuals for the big event.

No, she isn’t essaying the ghost in the movie but a victim, as the trailer shows it. The film also stars Huma’s actor brother Saqib Saleem and the trailer was also trending on YouTube from last two days.

                                                        

With an intention to promote her new film, Huma Qureshi landed on the sets of famous comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show and she also got her brother Saqib Saleem.

Huma looked pretty in black ethnic Rajasthani attire during the promotions of her film. Her brother also looked dapper in an all-black suit.

Looking at the photographs, it clearly seemed the brother-sister duo had a blast on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show.

Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem scare you in Dobaara’s trailer!

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi starrer Dobaara- See Your Evil's official promo released today. It is so creepy and terrifying.

The movie is a Hindi adaptation of Hollywood horror movie Oculus which is rated as one of the creepiest of movies ever. The film is directed by Prawaal Raman, who has earlier directed 'Darna Mana Hai' (2003) and '404 Error Not Found' (2011).

Dobaara is a tale revolves around two siblings with a conflicting views trying to crack the secret behind the killing of their parents a decade ago. The center point of the story is a mirror which is believed to be haunted. 

In the preview, we see an intriguing Huma trying to find answers to her parent's death. The trailer is visually very fascinating and promises a roller coaster ride for all those who love watching horror films. It is surely not for those with faint hearts.

The film will feature real life siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem along with Adil Hussain, Lisa Ray, Rhea Chakraborty and Madalina Bellariu Ion. It is produced by Ishan Saksena, Prawaal Raman, Sunil Shah and Vikram Khakhar.

Speaking to a famous tabloid, Ishan tells, "I am proud to be associated with 'Oculus' first official adaptation. We hope it will introduce the Indian audience to a horror film that matches global standards in its production value and treatment." 

'Dobaara — See Your Evil' is presented by B4U Motion Pictures in association with Relativity Media and Zahhak Films Limited and produced by Intrepid Pictures Production. It is all set to hit the theatres on June 2, 2017.

Saqib joins the family biz!

Saleem Qureshi runs a chain of successful restaurants in Delhi, and his son Saqib Saleem helped him run the eateries before deciding that the food biz wasn’t for him.

Instead Saqib moved West to carve out a career in films, so it’s now a surprise to hear that he has his sights on the restaurant industry again! Saqib plans to extend his dad’s empire to Mumbai, and he’s teaming up with the Sr. Saleem to open two outlets in the Bollywood capital later this year. I guess he just couldn’t turn his back on the family business!

After Farhan refusal, Saqib Saleem plays the same role in Akshay’s Gold!

Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's home production Excel Entertainment is all set to produce Akshay Kumar starrer Gold to be directed by Reema Kagti. In the biopic, Akshay will be seen essaying the role of Balbir Singh, an Indian Hockey player part of the team that won gold medal at the Olympics 1948, 1952 and 1956.

There were rumors that Farhan Akhtar has been roped in to play the parallel lead in the film, but he turned down the offer. Rumour has it, he is not keen to play the second fiddle in the movie.

Speaking about it to a famous tabloid, a source specified, "Farhan has played a lead in a biopic once before (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag) and he wouldn’t want to step away from the protagonist’s role in this film. It could also be the fact that he is producing the film under his Excel Entertainment banner." 

After Farhan rejected the offer, the team of Gold has approached Saqib Saleem for the role. The actor has not confirmed the offer yet.

This is not the first time Farhan denied to play a parallel lead. After opting out of Raees, Akhtar's role was given to Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Varun, John, Saqib and Nargis Fakhri have a gala time on Dishoom sets!

It's all fun and games for Team Dishoom - John Abraham, Nargis Fakhri and Varun Dhawan. It looks that the actors are making the most of their time on the sets of Dishoom.

Presently the cast and crew is in Abu Dhabi shooting. Nargis has shared a lot of pics on her Instagram account and it is pretty clear that she is having a lot of fun at the shoot along with John, Varun and Saqib Saleem.

Varun too has shared a pic on his Instagram welcoming Nargis to Dishoom.

Even Saqib Saleem added an image with Nargis Fakhri on his Instagram account and captioned it, "@nargisfakhri pouts and i just flex my biceps!! Things actors do waiting for their shot..#dishoom (sic)".

Nargis will be seen doing a guest appearance in the forthcoming film.

It is obvious that Team Dishoom is having a fun time whilst shooting it. Let's hope the movie turns out to be as enjoyable too.
