The highly anticipated trailer for Dune: Prophecy, starring Tabu, was unveiled by the producers today, October 18, 2024. Vishal Bhardwaj, a close friend of the actress and seasoned filmmaker, expressed his happiness and pride with the development by sending a heartfelt shout-out to his "pound."

On October 18, Vishal Bhardwaj posted the trailer for the new television series Dune: Prophecy on his Instagram account. Tabu has a major role in the series as well.

The seasoned director captioned his most recent image with a dedication to the actress, "Filled with pride and joy for the pound of my heart @tabutiful jiska koi sani nahi."

The Chandni Bar actress responded in the comments section, touched by Bhardwaj's kind gesture, saying, "I love you more than I can say..." followed by multiple pink heart emojis.

In addition, as they responded to the post, a number of fans also gushed about the actress. "@tabutiful ufff," one person said. "Well deserved, she is truly a terrific performer." During an On The Scene media chat, Vishal showered Tabu with compliments, referring to her as a "fine actor." He went on to say that she has a "solid sense of humor," is a "sensitive person," and is a "nuanced actor."

He says she's a lovely woman, "sophisticated" in her presentation, because of all these qualities.

"On top of that, I have such a deep understanding with her, almost like that of a soul mate. We don't have to speak to each other, but we know what we mean to each other," said Bhardwaj, who has worked with Tabu on films including Haider and Maqbool.

There will be six episodes in the upcoming television series Dune: Prophecy. The book Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson served as its inspiration.

Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Joshi May, Josh Heuston, Emma Canning, and Jessica Barden are among the other actors who star in it besides Tabu.

Vishal Bhardwaj opens up on facing issues in raising money for films!

Vishal Bhardwaj is a talented filmmaker from Bollywood. Over the years, he has worked on a number of groundbreaking films, such as Satya and Omkara. He actually collaborates with the talented Tabu on a number of films, including Khufiya, Haider, Maachis, and Maqbool. In a recent interview, the director talked about their recent collaboration and recognized that, unlike Rohit Shetty, another director, having someone as 'prolific' as Tabu doesn't ensure the movie will have a high budget.

The acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj was recently questioned in an interview with a newspaper about if it was difficult for him to raise money for Khufiya despite having a star performer like Tabu. The director retorted that not everyone could manage big budgets like Rohit Shetty could.

He was quoted saying, “It is the reality of the market. If I want a budget like a Rohit Shetty movie, then I must deliver a hit like him. This is something we artists should accept. We all have our limitations, even Rohit Shetty. He can't make a film like Christopher Nolan."

The fact that Vishal Bhardwaj is making his feature debut once more with Khufiya after a five-year break is noteworthy. Upon being questioned about the protracted break, he revealed that he started writing Khufiya in 2016 and finished the first draft in 2018. “At the time, it had a male protagonist. I wanted to work with Irrfan, who was unwell. After he passed away, I thought of changing the gender and making the film with Tabu as the protagonist. The budget I required for this wasn't available for any female star. But Netflix gave me the confidence to make the movie that I wanted to make,” told the director.

Vishal Bhardwaj also disclosed information about his ongoing projects. He revealed that he "worked intensely for over a year on that," when speaking about his most recent movie, Pataakha, which was released in 2018. However, it was stopped before he could begin shooting. Radhika Madan and Sanya Malhotra starred in the Midnight's Children (1981) adaption by Salman Rushdie.

He also revealed that he was developing a series for Prime Video based on IC 814, the December 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. However, the OTT platform "developed cold feet" after the uproar surrounding Saif Ali Khan's Tandav series, which was accused of hurting religious sensitivities.

Ajay Devgn and Tabu reunite for Drishyam 2!

After hit murder mystery Drishyam in 2015, the makers will soon be back with the thrilling sequel. Recently, Drishyam's lead cast had an imperative announcement to make. Taking to social media, Ajay Devgn and Tabu announced that Drishyam 2 is all set to release in November.

Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Ajay Devgn's much-admired character Vijay Salgaonkar will take us on yet another exciting journey this year. Promising to take it notches higher in thrill, drama and excitement, this sequel will take Vijay and his family’s story beyond imagination.

The thriller also features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Akshaye Khanna, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta. The team has been shooting for the movie since quite some time and filming wrapped in Hyderabad.

Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s reunion for Bholaa!

Earlier, Ajay Devgn had announced the remake of Tamil action thriller Kaithi starring Karthi in the lead. The film will feature Ajay in the lead role and his fans have been keenly waiting for other particulars about the action thriller.

Recently, the Dilwale star took to his Instagram handle to share the first poster of this movie and disclosed that the title of the movie will be Bholaa. The movie which also stars Tabu in the leading role, will hit the theatres on March 2023. In the poster it was written, ‘Excited to share with all of you Bholaa, the official remake of the Tamil superhit, Kaithi that has Tabu and me in the lead will release worldwide on March 30, 2023.’ Sharing this poster Ajay wrote, “Proudly announcing my next venture Bholaa, releasing on March 30th, 2023.” 

The Hindi version of Drishyam 2 is on the cards with Ajay Devgn and Tabu!

As per media updates, Kumar Mangat has acquired the rights for the Hindi remake of Drishyam 2 featuring Mohanlal. But, it wasn’t sure who would direct or act in the same. Previously, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, and others essayed the lead roles in Drishyam helmed by late Nishikant Kamat.

Now, as per latest media reports that it is Ajay Devgn and Tabu who will team up again for the movie’s sequel. This is sure to leave the fans thrilled.

In the meantime, Drishyam 2 in Malayalam was finally released on an OTT platform on February 19, 2021. Featuring Mohanlal as the main lead, the movie has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor and directed by Jeethu Joseph. Kumar Mangat has also disclosed that only a few modifications will be made for the Hindi version of Drishyam 2. A close media source disclosed that both Ajay and Tabu have given their nod to the script while the rest of the balance cast is yet to be decided.

Tabu has signed the horror-comedy that is headlined by Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The veteran star will join the cast and crew of the Anees Bazmee movie in January when filming begins in Rajasthan and London. Tabu’s digital debut in Mira Nair's direction!

As we know, Tabu has continuously reinvented herself and made sure she's in consideration for some of the most powerful roles in various big ticket movies. Last year, she delivered a stunner with Sriram Raghavan's AndhaDhun, and now, we hear she might have locked her next project.

A source revealed, "Mira Nair and Tabu go a long way together (they had done Namesake together in 2006). They have been friends and respect each other's body of work. So when Mira decided to cast someone for the web series she's planning to make, adapted from Vikram Chandra's novel A Suitable Boy, she immediately approached Tabu for it. Both of them have finished their round of narrations and Tabu has verbally given her nod to the script. The modalities are being worked out right now."

If Tabu says yes, she will be playing the role of the primary protagonist who's also the main anti-heroine in the movie. As per media sources, "A Suitable Boy is about four families and has several sub plots, but the central plotline is about the character of Rupa Mehra trying to find a suitable groom for her daughter Lata. Rupa is over controlling and extremely dominating in nature, and becomes a major cause of conflict in Lata's life. The role required someone with brilliant acting prowess and Mira couldn't think of anyone better than Tabu."

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is presently busy promoting his forthcoming film, Raid. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz in the lead role. In the movie, Ajay essays the role of a deputy commissioner of Income Tax, while Ileana plays his wife, Malini.

But, Ajay is unwilling to disclose the name of the officer who inspired his character, Amay Patnaik. He revealed to a tabloid, ‘’I’m not sure if he’d want that. The day he is comfortable with it, I’ll tell you his name.’’

‘’I didn’t really spend a lot of time with him but I heard a few more stories of IT raids from him and other officers. Some were funny and some scary, I marvelled at how casually he narrated the incident though I don’t think he’d have been as nonchalant then,” he further added.

After the release of the intense crime drama, Ajay will start preparation for Luv Ranjan’s romcom, which reunites him with friend Tabu and also features Rakul Preet Singh.

“We’ve finished the first schedule. It’s an urban comedy with an interesting concept. I’ve been busy with Raid promotions so I haven’t had the time to watch Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety but I have known Luv for a while now. He is a fabulous writer and director whom I trust. I loved the script,” Ajay told.

He is looking forward to work with Tabu with whom he shares a very special relationship. The two were last seen in Golmaal again (2017), which was super-hit at the box-office. “We’ve known each other from before we entered the industry and would hang out with the same group of friends. We can even abuse each other without it coming in the way of our friendship. I keep telling her to get married,” he said.

Bollywood actress Tabu's newest film Golmaal Again broke possible records of 2017. It is the only movie this year which crossed 200 crore mark at the box office.

Post Golmaal Again, Tabu has two flicks lined up which are poles apart from each other. One is Sriram Raghavan's edgy thriller along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte. While, the other one is a rom-com where she will be seen with her close friend and co-star of many movies, Ajay Devgn.

She considers taking the responsibility of a whole film could affect her creative mind. So, she is cautious with her choice at this point of her career.

As 'women-oriented' movies are changing the narrative of new age Indian cinema, why has she not appeared in such movies in recent times? Tabu revealed, "Now, taking a decision on films is not that black and white like earlier. In the beginning of my career, I have done many films where the tag of 'women-oriented' film was not there... I chose the films because the character was substantial. Now, if producers and directors are coming to me with the formula of 'women-oriented' films, with the idea of putting the responsibility of a film on my shoulder, I do not want to get stuck in there.”

"The focus should be on my work, as in on my performance, not that I sell in this category of film.” she further added.

Now Tabu has joined the party by purchasing a plush apartment in an upmarket suburb in the coastal town. It was sheer good connections that got Tabu the place, since a friend of hers tore down his bungalow on the property and offered her the chance to buy an apartment in the building he was constructing in its place. Tabu’s new holiday home is surrounded by acres of greenery, and comes with a swimming pool and gym. It sure sounds like a piece of heaven.

Previously, we got you the first look of Ajay Devgn starrer a rom-com movie. The untitled movie is directed by debutant Akiv Ali and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The leading lady of the movie was not disclosed at that time. 

And now, as per a famous daily, the movie will have two female leads. And one of the actresses is none other than the talented Tabu. Yes, Tabu is all set to reunite with her Golmaal Again co-star in this rom-com film. 

Speaking about it, a source close to the development of the film specified to the leading daily, "It's a unique rom-com and not a love triangle. Ajay and Tabu are not opposite each other and Luv has written the role with Tabu in mind, believing that only she can play the part. Another A-list actress will be cast as Ajay's love interest."

Tabu and Ajay are presently in Goa to shoot for Golmaal Again. After wrapping up Rohit Shetty's directorial, the duo will start the reading session for the untitled film. 

This will be the sixth outing of Ajay and Tabu after Vijaypath (1994), Haqeeqat (1995), Thakshak (1999), Drishyam (2015), Fitoor (2016) and Golmaal Again (2017). 

When Tabu was asked about Ajay earlier, she had told, "Ajay and I grew up together. He was my brother's buddy and every evening he'd drive up in his open jeep while we sat waiting on the bungalow wall. The camaraderie is the same even today. He's crazy fun and all heart. Haider’s Tabu not in Murugadoss' Akira with Sonakshi!

A.R. Murugadoss' movie Akira, featuring Sonakshi Sinha will soon go on floors. Sonakshi is hard at work learning numerous martial arts to prepare for the same. It was previously reported that Tabu was going to have a pivotal role in the movie but we hear that after she had a round of discussions with the makers, she has decided to opt out of the movie.

Lately there were rumors that Tabu shot for the movie for four days before walking out, but her spokesperson denies this by saying that she had never officially joined the film's cast. There was an issues with dates which is why Tabu had to drop out. At the moment, she is busy working on the remake of the malayalam movie Drishyam.
