Famous Golden Globe Award 2018 took place lately and the
first award of the night (Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or
a Motion Picture Made for Television) went to the unique Nicole Kidman for her
role as Celeste Wright in Big Little Lies.
Adorning a black sparkly floor-length gown paired with a
semi-sheer top, Nicole received her award with grace and went on to give an encouraging
speech.
She started off by speaking about her daughters and then
went ahead to thank Reese Witherspoon and the entire cast of Big Little Lies.
The actress told, "First cab of the rank. My daughters are still awake so
Sunny, Faith, I love you. I'm bringing this home to you, baby. Thank you to the
Hollywood Foreign Press for supporting us. Thank you to HBO for supporting and
committing to us and when I say us, I'm talking about Reese Witherspoon and
myself. We did this because of our friendship, our creative union and our
support of each other. And I love you. Also, I want to say Laura Dern, Shailene
Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, we sat at a table and pledged allegiance to each other
and commitment to each other and this is ours to share. Wow, the power of
women!"
"Also, I speak on the behalf of the five of us because
we would not be in existence with this show and it wouldn't have been as good
as it has been without the mastery of Jean-Marc Vallée and David E. Kelley and
also Liane Moriarty," she added later.
In conclusion, thanking the love of her life and husband
Keith Urban, Nicole finished by saying, "And Keith Urban, When my cheek is
against yours everything melts away and that is love. It’s true. I love you so
much."
