The hullabaloo surrounding Padmaavat has been an eye-opener
on how fringe elements can affect the release of a film. The film starring
Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and directed by Sanjay Leela
Bhansali is finally releasing on January 24, 2018, at 7 PM.
The movie has already suffered enough perils for being a
period drama and is presently eyeing a smooth release. Amid all this, the
Rajput Karni Sena members have already called for a bandh and have cautioned
people against watching the film.
Karan Johar, who has had a difference of opinion with Sanjay
Leela Bhansali previously, told that he is hoping for a smooth release of the
movie now that Supreme Court has passed a judgment in its favour. He spoke on
the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2018 which is taking place in Davos.
A leading media source mentioned Karan Johar telling,
"SC judgement went in favor of #Padmaavat, it is a matter of happiness
that the law has prevailed. I hope for a safe release."
