Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and so-called beau Ranveer
Singh were snapped exiting the airport yesterday. The alleged lovebirds
returned from a week-long holiday to Maldives, where they also celebrated
Deepika’s birthday. There were reports about their engagement, but Ranveer’s
spokesperson had slammed it.
Deepika and Ranveer celebrated their birthday in a beautiful
resort in Maldives with their families.
Deepika and Ranveer have never openly accepted their
relationship, but have always called each other ‘special’ in all interviews.
Deepika had told in an interview, “He is my best friend (and this is not to be
taken lightly). I am emotional, sensitive and vulnerable and I hurt easily. I
can be so naked in front of Ranveer... and I know he will never hurt me or take
me for granted. That is the kind of trust and understanding we have. The reason
I love and respect him is that I can bare my soul and still feel comfortable.
If this is divine connection - this is what it is!"
Ranveer too has always spoken very lovingly about Deepika.
Ranveer had revealed, “She has achieved so much in the past two years. She’s
effectively the number one actress. I see a constant in her and that constancy
is grounding. She doesn’t allow all the frills and complications that come
along with more money, more stardom and more popularity. She doesn’t allow all
of these things to affect her. She’s had such an incredible run. She’s in a
position where it could so easily go to one’s head; but to remain grounded, to
not engage oneself in the negativity that such fame and popularity invariably
attracts, and to be so simple and singularly focused on only the things that
really matter, is what I admire about her.”
