After the success of Baadshaho, Emraan Hashmi will start
with his next titled Captain Nawab. With this movie, the actor will be debuting
as a producer.
When questioned about the plot of the movie, Emraan revealed
a famous media agency, "It is inspired by a real event but eventually it
is a fictional piece of work. This has been sourced out from true happenings in
our country, there is some element of fiction added. But it doesn't go into the
masala zone. It is very gritty, very real. It is an entertaining war drama
thriller."
He further added, "It has a sense of realism and at the
same time it is entertaining. Bringing together these two things is a challenge
but I am sure we will be up for it."
Emmi further spoke about the characters he essays telling,
"I am nervous before playing any character. For me, that is what drives
me. The day I become cocky about a character or a film, I think I will fail
miserably. It is very important for me to have that positive nervous feeling
that I need to rise up and do my best."
Directed by Tony D'Souza, Captain Nawab is set to go on
floors next month. This will be the second outing of Emraan and Tony D'Souza
after working together in Azhar.
In the poster that was revealed, we saw Emraan posing in the
uniform of both the armies - India and Pakistan. He revealed about this
interesting thing, telling, "That's the DNA of the film. I know it'll
spark off assumptions but I'll hold the suspense for now." He talked about
the training of the film, saying, "It will take months of training before
I get down to shooting. Just to get the swing of the bat right in Azhar, I had
to train for at least four months, this film will be even more demanding."
