Bollywood actress Vidya Balan took to Twitter to uncover the
new song O Re Kaharo from the forthcoming movie, Begum Jaan. She
posted, "The pain of letting go! Watch #OReKaharo now @BhojpuriQUEEN
#AltamashFaridi @The_AnuMalikv @KausarMunir."
The lyrics are penned by Kausar Munir and sung by Kalpana
Patowary and Altamash Faridi.
The song talks about the pain of letting go and even traces
the whole voyage of Vidya Balan and the rebellion of a group of female
sex-workers against government officials. Vidya essays the madam of a brothel
that finds itself divided as a newly-chalked LOC is drawn between India and
Pakistan circa 1947. How the actress stands up for her 'home' and defends plot
is the crux of the story.
The song shows the trials and tribulations of young women
who are sex workers but their profession doesn't stop them from being loyalists
to their 'kotha'. Intense scenes between Pallavi Sharda and Vidya Balan will
give you goosebumps and will have you enthralled. Well, the spoiler here is
that Pallavi is seen firing at Vidya Balan and it'll be interesting to see how
this mystery will disclose in the movie.
Apart from Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Pallavi Sharda, Begum
Jaan also stars Ila Arun, Gauahar Khan, Rajit Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi,
Chunky Pandey, Vivek Mushran, Poonam Rajput, Ridheema Tiwari, Flora Saini,
Priyankaa Setia, Mishti Chakraborty, Sumit Nijhawan, Pitobash and Rajesh Sharma
in pivotal roles.
It’s a chilling experience!
