After being a part of multi-starrer movies, Abhishek
Bachchan is all set to showcase his acting ability with solo lead roles in
2017.
Now been roped in for Lefty, Nishikant Kamat’s untitled
next, Gulab Jamun and Ronnie Screwvala’s unnamed project, the
41-year-old actor has signed another movie with Priyadarshan.
As thrilling as the line-up sounds, the title of his next
with Priyadarshan, in particular, has caught our fancy. Titled Bachchan
Singh, the film will be produced by Suniel Shetty and Rajat Rawail.
Fascinatingly, this would be the second time Junior
Bachchan’s surname has got any filmmaker hooked. Previously, Rohit Shetty’s
directorial Bol Bachchan (2012) also had the actor’s second name in
the title and was, in fact, a hit at the box office.
Abhishek was last seen in Housefull 3 (2016) that
also had Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon
and Nargis Fakhri in lead roles.
