Ranveer Singh opens up about why Deepika is being paid more than him in Padmavati!

Gossips were rife for the longest time that Deepika Padukone is being paid Rs. 11 crore for Padmavati. The news rapidly grabbed eyeballs as around the same time, she featured in the Forbes’ list of Highest Paid actresses! It was being informed that Ranveer Singh, who will play the role of Alauddin Khilji, was paid lesser than the actress. A few rumors indicated that Ranveer is being offered Rs. 8 crore as opposed to Deepika's huge fee. 

Ranveer Singh, who was in Paris for the longest time shooting for Befikre, is finally back on the home turf. A formal pronouncement regarding the principal cast of the movie was made a few days back, and now Ranveer Singh has taken upon himself to put a few rumors to rest. In an interview with a famous tabloid, when the actor was asked about Deepika's fee hike, he cleared the air and told, "Let me put it this way, if I am the leading man of the film and the film-maker is asking me to support him in a certain aspect so as not to burden the budget of the film, I will do whatever I can to support his vision."

Ranveer also went on record to clear the air about the so-called enmity between him and Shahid Kapoor, who also stars in the movie. He told that Shahid and he laugh on such ridiculous stories and admired the actor's body of work.
