Bollywood vivacious actress Kajol, who has bagged a number
of awards over the years for her acts in movies, tells awards are just short-lived
satisfaction and she has never craved for them.
Kajol was conferred with the country's fourth highest
civilian award Padma Shri in 2011 for her work in the film industry over the
years.
"I don't think I crave for awards. I never prayed for
an award ever in my life. The feeling of getting an award is the high of
standing up in front of whole group of people. Awards are just momentary
satisfaction. Five years down the line it’s a statue on your shelf. Yes, people
do remember it up to a point but there is nothing beyond that," Kajol said.
Kajol also feels that film-making has always been a challenging
process.
"Film-making has always been difficult. It is about
passion and it's not a business decision, it's a passionate decision. We have
always faced issues, problems, all different kinds of things and that will
continue," the 42-year-old told.
