Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is ready to debut into Marathi
cinema with Ventilator. And in addition to being a producer, the
lovely actress has also given her voice to an emotional song ‘Baba’ in the film,
which has unquestionably struck the right chord with the viewers.
And while the actress has been busy with her overseas
projects in LA, here is how Priyanka has been devotedly adding her bit to this movie.
Speaking about her contribution filmmaker Rajesh Mhapuskar reveals,
“She would call up in the middle of the night after she had wrapped
up her work to check the latest on the film. She works round the clock and the
whole team was inspired by her dedication.”
“She is closely associated with the filmmaking process
whether it means monitoring, the progress, watching the trailer or coming up
with creative suggestions, “he further added.
Talking on Priyanka’s decision to go ahead with it and how
it was not swayed by the commercial success of Sairat. Mhapuskar
reflected, “Sairat had not released then. She took the decision much
before that. Also, she wasn’t looking at the box office when she made the
decision. It was the way she connected with the story.”
He also confessed that he went to two producers before
Priyanka zeroed on it and remembers that “she was overwhelmed with emotions”
after he had narrated the film to her.
Ventilator stars 116 actors including director Ashutosh
Gowariker and will hit the cinemas on November 4.
