Bollywood’s new reel pair Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi
Sinha will be seen in the lead roles for the remake of the hit 1969 murder
mystery Ittefaq.
Captivatingly, the story won’t be the same any longer. Sidharth,
in a straight conversation with a famous tabloid, clarified, “It’s not exactly
the same. The premise will be different although the idea is the same. It is
still about one night but we have modified the script. Otherwise, everyone
knows what it’s all about and there would be no fun. All the characters here
are motivated differently.”
Sidharth also disclosed the running time of the movie. “It
will be a very short, quick film. We want to make it in a very thrilling
manner- in two hours or maybe less than that if we can. That’s our
plan," posted the actor.
Ittefaq is scheduled for a 2017 release. The movie is a
remake of Yash Chopra directorial, the 1969 movie Ittefaq, which starred Rajesh
Khanna and Nanda. As per info, the Yash Chopra film in itself was a remake of
the British movie, Signpost To Murder (1964)! Red Chillies
Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and BR Films are coming together to produce
the (remake) movie.
